The disease spread fast in the town of Nome. Many people got sick and a team was sent into the snow. They were led by Steele. So Balto began to worry...as he set off he fell and broke two legs. Soon after he died, from hypothermia. The outbreak continued...

Team
"Steele! We`re lost, admit it!" Shouted Jay, one of the dogs on the team. Steele snarled, pulling the sled."No! We...aren`t lost!" But he was tiring himself out and he knew it. His muscles ached, and he refused to stop them though half the medicine was lost already. Weeks had passed.

Kaltag let out a pitiful whine."Steele...why...can`t we...stop..."

And he fell dead in the traces, lack of food and rest getting to him. Steele snapped at the air in futile frustration. "You weakling!"He strained. The team kept on, even though some were in walking dead condition. Star was next, dropping in mid step. Then came a mix named Kag, throat torn open by Steele.

And then one day, they had to stop, for something was out there. The dogs gnawed off the tie-ropes and waited.

Steele faced the shapes, snarling.

"Who is there! Speak!"

He had gone insane, mind breaking under pressure. Jay stepped forward, Nikki behind her. "I am Jay, and this is my Comerade Nikki. We are the two dogs on this team who recognise your upper hand in our position."

The secret was that Jay was pregnant with Nikki`s young.

The wild dog pack came from the shadows and fell opon the sled dogs. It was a slaughter. Steele was torn to shreds, nothing left of him...and in the end, only two stood still when it was over.

Jay.

Nikki.

The duo walked forward into the pack of dogs, watching them as they moved.

And so..

Nome

Many people had died. They were dead and rotting and Nome was a ghost town. As the dog pack moved on, they arrived at Nome.

The wild dogs?

The dogs of Nome.
