One day Sashera (Whispers mom) and Storm (Whispers dad) were lying outside their den. Suddenly a bunch of animals started running past them from the brush beside them. There was a faint blast from the same direction the animals came from. “Hunters!” storm said as he stood up “come get in to the den” he nudged Sashera, she got up and dashed into the den. Storm backed up into the den slowly watching out for the hunter (To protect Sashera who is pregnant) “lay low” he whispered to her, Sashera nodded and backed up. The hunter had stepped in front of the den looking in Storm attacked the hunters face letting him fall to the hard damp ground, Storm got up shaking his fur when he jumped at him again there was a blast. Storm fell to the ground with a yelp, the hunter ran off scared that other wolves might attack, Sashera dashed to him with tears in her eyes “STORM!” she cried. And licked his face “why” Sashera cried again as a tear rolled down her face. Storm held his paw up to her mouth “ don’t worry, but promise me one thing” he coughed and gasped for air “ just promise me you’ll look after the pups” he smiled and then coughed again “shh” Sashera licked his cheek “ I’ll always love you” she smiled still with tears rolling down her face. After a while Storm was no longer breathing Sashera sniffed then nudged him “just remember I’ll never forget you” she left him not wanting to look back.

A week later Sashera had given birth to five pups she named them Whisper (because of the was she whined it was so quiet) Storm (after her mate) Cyber (because he looked like a playful pup) Maya (The runt) and Luke (after her brother that had died)

After the pups were old enough to leave the den Sashera took them through the forest to find a place to make a bigger den. On the way Whisper was being bad and biting Luke’s tail “Mama Whisper is biting on my tail” he said whining “Whisper! Stop biting your brother” she said seriously “But ma it wasn’t me” she said smiling “no buts whisper, just don’t bug your brother any more okay?” “yes mama” she said with her head down, Storm and cyber ran out in front of there mother “boys don’t go too far” ”oh and don’t get into any mischief okay” “Yes mom” they shouted. Maya was following in her mother foot prints sometimes tripping in them “here’s a nice place” their mother said starting to dig. Whisper and Maya started chasing a butterfly and Luke, Cyber and Storm were play fighting. When their mother was done she called the pups in for supper “YAY!!” they all shouted happily except for whisper and ran into the den for regurgitated meat “Aww mama can’t I have milk” whisper whimpered “No Whisper! You need to get used to meat now” “okay” she said quietly. Soon it was time to sleep the pups yawned then lied down there eyes half shut “Goodnight!” their mother said “goodnight” the pups said half sleeping.

When the pups were older they were able to leave home the oly pups that didn’t leave were Whisper, Maya, Storm and Luke. But one day whisper wanted to go and find her own land and mate. “mom I want to have my own family” she said sadly not really wanting to see her mother sad face “Oh, well you can” she smiled trying not to pull a sad face “ I love you mom” she said her mother smiled and licked her face “I love you to”….
