"So tierd..." Zepher moaned, but he knew there was no one there to answere him. He hadn't slept in fear of getting killed by Nayati. 'So hungery...' the now 8 monthold pup had never been so hungery in his life. Then another sent hit him. THe Old white mean wolf! He turned. The wolf was snarling. Zepher ran as fast as he knew he could. But he want faster than normal.
When he was sure the white wolf was gone, he set his nose down to find a good, safe place to rest. He knew he wassn't in an enymey territiory, but he hoped that this wouldn't become one. As he had enough of enemies to deal with already. A sudden stench came across his nose, "Gross. What is that?" He said to himself, and continued to follow it.
Zepher stopped when the sent was so strong, ti was in the air even when he breathed. He looked up, only to see 3-4 sets of eyes staring at him. "A wolf! Don't scare it! Shhhhhh!" All those frases were being shot at him. Ze[her had no idea what to think. Run!
Zepher turned his head, and sprang out of cover, tracing backwards, untill he realized, he would be cought by the white wolf. Again. Move it, long legs! he snarled to himself. He was terrified he would be cought. Most likly shot and killed like his parents.
He saw a lake and ran faster toward it. He was so into getting to the lake for safty, he didn't notes the red hybrid in front of him.
THWAP!
Zepher hit the hybrid hard enough to knock them both down. "Hey," She snarled. "What are you doin' here?" Zepher ignored her, and continued to untangle himself. "Wolf! Why are you here?" She snarled again. Zepher didn't say anything. He just ran faster. Then skidded to a stop again. but he wasn't on the lake.
Zepher skidded infront of several wolves dragging a kill. He stopped and stared at them. They stared back. The large silver and black wolf rased his eye brows a bit at the sight of him. Zepher was jumpy then. He didn't want to be cought, but he didn't want to be attacked by the wolves, ether.
"Who are you?" Asked the silver and black wolf. Zepher bliknked at the question. "I-I was....There are.." He panted. He was thankful the wolf was letting him breath and colect himself . "Humans!" he yelped finally.
That really caought the packs attention. The black and silver wolf bristeled and growled quietly. The red and cream hybrid shuttered. And all of the other wolves looked shocked. And slightly angered.
The silver streaked wolf stepped closer and said, grimmesing, "Where are they, and how close?" His booming voice shot at Zepher. Zepher thought for a bit. Where were they?
"Well, I just saw them an ran. past the river clearing though." Zepher studdered. This large wolf was verry powerful, and could probly whipe him out in a simple swipe of his paw.
"Can you take me to them?" The wolf boomed at Zepher. He wasn't making it sound like a command, but it was cleare the wolf wanted to see. "Yah! Umm, this way!" Zepher said, but taking time to remember where he saw them.
Zepher took of at a slower pace to make sure the wolves were behind him. The silver streaked wolf took a couple of steps, then said. "Zephyr," Zepher turned back at look at the wolf. He knows my name? A brown wolf perked his ears and waited.
"Come with me to find theise humans. Kiona," THe silver and Black wolf said to the hybrid that Zepher had run into. "Take them home." Zepher flattened his ears, ond plopped his furry butt to the ground, and panted without much noise, trying to stay respectful to the suspected Alpha.
As the brown striped wolf walked up to the Black, a tri-colored wolf spoke up. "Achack, mide if I come with you and the pup instead?" His ears wire back and his tail curled benieth him. Pure submission. The silver and black wolf, Achak Zepher guessed, looked mildly confused, and quite suspitouse.
After a few gut-wrenching seconds, Ackack closed his eyes, and replied, "Sure," He looked at Zepher, who was crouching on the ground. Weary. But not melting in fear. "Now, can you lead us to the--"The wolf bristled in thought. "The humans?.." Zepher blinked at the wolf's peircing blue eyes.
"Yes, sir!" He bolted off, but quickly corrected himself, that he was not on his own any more. He had to slow down. He kept a desent pace, asuring he didn't go to fast for the aging tri-color wolf. He could feel a blue and Maroon gaze burniing into his black fur. The two were waching him. He needed to be millitary prasision. He lifted his head and pinned his ears, sniffed the air, and wandered more towards the south, rather the east, as he was. His blue eyes picked up a boulder. The same one that he spotted the humans at. He picked up his pace, but remained steahtly and sighlent.
As he was walking toward the boulder, Zepher's eyes widened, and even in the cold snowwie weather, his heart warmed. He smiled. He might have a new place to be. To live.
To belong.
