Nobody knows what really started the slow destruction of our beautiful planet. Some say it's when the humans infested the ground we now shed our blood for. But some, including myself, believe it was not the humans that caused it but the creation of the planet itself that started its destruction. Nothing is meant to last forever, and planets, should be no exception. Just like weakness and a frail build come with age, so has it happened to our home, our earth. The human’s concrete and steel villages that once harbored millions of the humans have now rusted and broken from their many wars, and the only thing they hold now is their species' bones.

As we look at the humans mistakes, of their inability to lead in peace with each other and try to coexist on the planet, as a disgrace, I just see it as the story of what will eventually happen to us as well. Not just our pack, or even wolves in general, but what will happen to anything that is managing to scour a life out of the earths aging surface. What happens when the deer, rabbit, any prey finally suffer the same fate as the humans? I know what will happen, the same things humans did when they thought animal life was wiped out. We too will resort to the same cannibalism they suffered through, selling their friends and loved ones like they never knew them, just for a bite to eat.

Truthfully all seems completely hopeless for us. We will soon lose our peaceful bond with our allied packs due to traitoring and I have no doubt someone from our pack will do the same to them and our pack will not know weather that traitor from our pack was right or not and will fall apart and eventually our packs of twenty and thirty will fall into ones of five or less. It's almost as though I have seen the inevitable that there is nothing to be done but watch it all follow through with itself. However, for no reason I will be able to comprehend at this moment I still think there is something that can be done. Something told about in the elder’s story about a peace between all wolves that will bring the earth back to it original state, whatever that might be, I really don't care.

I am Kay, only still a pup, having aged only a year and a half. Although what I have been through has mentally aged me far beyond my physical year. I have been through what a normal wolf should experience throughout his entire life within a period since I was able to walk and live on my own totaling at about a year. I regret most the things that I have learned, for they do not benefit my survival but they benefit the "Highers". Those who think their birth gave them some divine right to rule over packs.

I have not really describe the situation, although, from what I've said you might be able to get a slight Idea of it. We, a small pack of wolves, have fled our packs and the Pack Wars for a chance at peace. However, the wolves have grown extremely protective of their packs killing off any unwelcome visitor, no matter their excuse for passing through. We travel by night under the cover of the moonless night and search for food wherever we can find it from, mostly small prey. None of us know where were going, we only go north, waiting to find any place the wars haven’t reached yet, from what we've heard, the Arctic Circle.

I travel now with a pack of six excluding myself, however we didn't all start together, and our story even up to now is one to behold. And as we wait here out side our latest pack addition's territory I will tell you this story, by then, we will be ready. Ready to go on and fight for the peace of our small, but just as loyal pack.
