Kiska jumped into the air and opened her jaws as she came closer to Aleu. When Sitka called her name, she turned around to face Kiska and then she jumped to the side, just missing Kiska's jaws. Kiska snapped and only got the air. Now she was very angry.

"Wolfdog, you will die!" screamed Kiska.

"Not if I have anything to say for this!" yelled Aleu.

Aleu bared her teeth and growled at Kiska. Then she leapt at Kiska and tried to bite her. But, Kiska was too quick. She was used to fighting for her life and winning, and this time would be no different.

Then, Aleu and Kiska started to circle each other, growling. Aleu ran towards Kiska but Kiska caught her by her back leg and threw her in the air, just like Steele did to Balto when he tried to take the medicine.

Aleu landed on a rock, but used it to bounce back and jump on Kiska. Soon they both ended up fighting and rolling around but then they got up and Kiska chased Aleu to the edge of a cliff.

"I told you wolfdog. You will die...now!" yelled Kiska. She jumped at Aleu and tried to push her off the cliff but as Aleu started to fall, she grabbed a branch just below the cliff in her teeth and held on but she knew it would not hold her forever.

"Well now, isn't this a nice way to end your life? All I have to do is scratch this branch off the cliff and your life ends." said Kiska.

"But you still have to deal with us." said Sitka with the rest of the clan behind him.

"No matter, because if you attack me, I'll make sure that Aleu dies." said Kiska, she wanted to see if she could get something in return for their leader's life.

"You want to make a deal then?" asked Sitka.

"Yes, and if you agree, Aleu will live but if you don't..." Kiska put her claws on the branch as if she would smack it and send Aleu to her death.

"What do you want then?" asked Sitka.

"Hmmm...there is so many things I could possibly want. But what do you think your leader's life is worth?" said Kiska.

"Somebody please make a decision." Aleu said through closed jaws on the branch.

"Alright. Since you wolves are no help at all, I guess the only thing left to do is...send Aleu to her death." said Kiska and with that she snapped the branch and Aleu fell down the cliff.

"How dare you!" yelled Sitka but as he and the clan went to attack Kiska, she jumped onto a rock and bounced off landing just behind them.

"You will remember this as the day you almost caught lone wolf Kiska." said Kiska before running off. (haha got the idea from pirates of the caribbean 2)

Aleu woke up but all she saw was darkness. There was no light and she didn't know if she was even on earth anymore.

"What? Where am I?" said Aleu. 

"Between life and death." said a voice.

Light started to come back and Aleu saw Aniu.

"What do you mean?" said Aleu.

"Look." said Aniu and she pointed to Aleu's body.

Aleu gasped. "Am I...dead?"

"No, but you are injured badly. You are between being unconscious and conscious." said Aniu calmly.

"I need to get back to the clan, and face Kiska again." said Aleu and then she told Aniu about the fight.

"Kiska is a strong fighter. Years being a lone wolf have made her strong and wise when it comes to fighting. You on the other paw, are not very experienced, and that is why she deafeated you so easily." said Aniu.

"Believe me, I know that now, but how can I stop her?" asked Aleu.

"You must learn fighting skills, but you must also realize that you are part wolf and dog, and when it comes to fighting Kiska you must let your wolf instincts guide you while fighting, it may sound strange, but they will lead you in the right path here in the wild." Aniu told Aleu this and that Kiska will have to also be tricked in fighting if you really want to win.

"Thank you, Aniu." said Aleu.

"Oh, and one more thing. If you do have any visions again, trust them, they are your gift and they will guide you." Aniu said thne she howled and slowly disappeared.

Light came back to Aleu's eyes and she looked up at where Kiska knocked her off the cliff. "I can't believe I survived this." she thought. The cliff was very high off, and if Aleu was not strong enough, she would have died.

Slowly Aleu stood up, her legs shaked slightly at first and they hurt. But as she began to walk around she felt herself go back to normal but she would need some rest...actually, a lot of rest. Aleu decided that she better walk back up the cliff.

Aleu finally reached the top and the clan was looking over the edge for any signs of her.

"Watcha looking for?" said Aleu wanting to suprise them.

"Well, Aleu--- Aleu! How did you survive? Wait nevermind, you need rest and food!" said Sitka.

"No kidding." said Aleu. Aleu was led to a small cave and she slept inside while the rest of the clan slept guarding it outside.

The next morning, Aleu got up early before the rest of the clan and set out to find Kiska. After searching the forest, she found Kiska standing near a waterfall drinking water. But as soon as Kiska got Aleu's scent, she snapped her head up and faced her.

"Can't get rid of me that easy Kiska." said Aleu.

"You! You're supposed to be dead! How on earth did you survive the fall?" asked Kiska, she was very suprised to find Aleu alive.

"I had some help from a member of my family." said Aleu.

"No matter, this time you will not get so lucky I will finish you...once and for all!" As soon as the words left her mouth, Kiska jumped at Aleu, sending her flying and crashing into a tree.

"Where's your family member now?" said Kiska.

Aleu stood up slowly, and she heard Aniu's words in her head, You must learn fighting skills, but you must also realize that you are part wolf and dog, and when it comes to fighting Kiska you must let your wolf instincts guide you while fighting, it may sound strange, but they will lead you in the right path here in the wild.

Aleu thought to herself, " I am part wolf too, I must let go of my dog fears and let my instincts guide me in the right path. Suddenly Aleu saw the situation clearer, Kiska wants a fight, I'll give her one she'll never forget.

Kiska thought for a second that she had killed Aleu, so she went over to the tree but instead found Aleu pounce on her from behind. Kiska got away from Aleu and snarled.

"This fight will end...WITH YOU DEAD!" Kiska yelled them she jumped at Aleu and knocked her into the water. Aleu was underwater and Kiska put her paw down on Aleu's neck and held her under, Aleu tried to escape, but it was no use. And she was running out of air. Finally, she couldn't hold her breath any longer, she gasped for breath, but all she got was water in her lungs. Then, she saw a white flash from the water's surface, and Kiska's paw wasn't on her neck anymore. She gasped for breath and starting to cough a little, then turned around to see what made Kiska get out of the water and move her paw.

Aleu gasped. The white flash was Aniu. "Aniu?!?!" Aleu said suprised and wondering.

Kiska was on the ground, she stood up to see what had knocked her off Aleu and then she too saw Aniu. "Aniu..." she said and started to back away.

Then Aniu spoke. "What Kiska? Are you afraid to fight in my presence?"

"Why did you interupt the fight?!" yelled Kiska. "Couldn't you see that I was trying to kill this mutt!" Then Kiska moved her paw towards Aleu.

"That mutt is my granddaughter." said Aniu.

"..." Kiska didn't know what to say. She had just tried to kill the great Aniu's granddaughter, what would she punish her with?

"Well...she...I...umm..." said Kiska stuttering.

"I must go now, and Kiska, don't you ever dare to touch my granddaughter again, because next time you do, you'll find yourself with the spirits sooner than you think." Aniu vanished.

Aleu didn't know what to do. But she went to go say something to Kiska only to find that she had run off. "Well, I better get back to the clan." she thought.

Aleu went back to the clan and told them everything that happened. But they all seemed more interested in the fact that Aleu was Aniu's granddaughter.

"I still can't believe you are related to the great Aniu." said Sitka.

"Well, I am so thats that." Aleu said. Then she returned to the cave. "Is it that hard to believe?" She just decided that she better get some sleep.

Meanwhile Kiska was wandering around and came upon Aleu's pack territory. But she found herself face to face with the clan.

"Come back for another fight?" said a grey and white wolf named Denali.

"No, this time is different." said Kiska.

"Oh, and how is it different then the times before?" said Sitka.

"Well, if you wolves must know, I have come to join the pack...for now." said Kiska.

"Oh..." said Sitka, very suprised.

"What's gonig on?" asked Aleu. She had decided to get up after hearign some wolves taking in the clan territory.

"I have come...to join the pack." said Kiska.

"Well..." Aleu wasn't sure what to do.

"Don't worry mutt. I am not staying long." said Kiska.

"Fine, but don't try to kill me again." said Aleu with a laugh.

"Agreed."
