I looked as people passed by my siblings."Aww mom look jenna had puppies!." one boy said said.he walked over to us.he picked me up."Hey mom can I keep him?PPllleeeasssee!"the boy said."well I guess-"his mom diddn't get to finnish her sentence."Oh THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!"he yelled.

 we arrvied at a house."Cody you can use that old pillow of your's for your dog."the boy's mom said."so"I thought"that's his name,cody."He walked upstairs into his room,carrying me.He put me down on the floor.As he started looking in his closet for that pillow his mom was talking about,I satrted to wonder around.I went up under his bed and found a good sized tennis ball.I starrted to play with it.I was so caught up with playing with it,I diddn't here Cody calling me.He wisteled and called to me.Then I sneesed.He heared me and looked under the bed."There you are!"he said"Thank god I found you."He saw me with my ball."Hey boy!wanna play!"I rolled the ball from under the bed.Cody rolled it from one hand to a nother.I watched the ball roll.Then I pounced and caucht the ball.

 There was a knock on the door.Cody grabed me and ran downstairs."Dad look!"He said to the man at the door."Now that looks to be a strong dog."his Dad said."Shame to lose him."Cody looked puzzeled at the man.The man laughted."he needs licence.I only have my old dog zuko's collor but it will work."he said."but dosn't it have the name Zuko on it?"cody asked."that won't be a problum If you name it zuko."he said.So that's how I became "zuko"!

 ONE YEAR LATER:I picked up my leash and walked to cody."Wana go on a walk boy?"cody asked.I dropped the leash and barked.Cody hooked up my collor and we went outside.We started to cross the road to the park,when a few older guys saw us.Cody looked back at them for a short time and started walking a littel faster."on no...oh no c'mon Zuko we gotta go!"he said and started running.The other guys started to chase us!It WAS SO DANG SCARY!we got to the middel of the park,then they surronded us.then the biggest one walked up to us!

 he picked cody up by the collor of his shirt and rasied an arm to punch him."you got away from me yesterday at school,but there ain't no escaping me now!"I saw he was in danger and lunged at the big guy.I knock him over and Cody stumbeled up.  the other guys ran off."youre lucky your mutt is part wolf,or you''d be dead!"Cody crossed his arms and nodded his head trying to act cool and the other guy walked off.  I was happy at first,but then I thought...part wolf.

 That Night I walked to my mom's house to ask her a question.I walked through the dog-door and called for her."Mom,MOM!"She walked over to me from the kitchen."Do you know what time it is,son?"She asked."Yeah yeah,but I have a question,I don't mean to be noseiy but what happened to alue?"I asked."She leads a packof her own."She said,yawning.I left with out a word.

 That mornig I woke up and streched.I fanialy came to a disition,I should leave my famly here before I hurt somone else.  I counddn't bear telling Cody goodbye,so I left before he awoke.I walked out side and a tear ran down my face.I loooked around Nome as I got ready to leave.I took one last look at home,then ran into the woods.I cried as I left,but was strong,and knew If I stayed I could hurt Cody,and I can't do that to my best friend.

 I walked and walked. A week had passed and I haddent eaten since.I walked into a cave and rested.I panted hard,and could'nt move.Then...then I smelled it,the sweet smell...of meat!I drooled a little and looked around.The smell got stronger.Then a small white female wolf with blue eyes and black fore paws walked to me,and dropped a duck at my feet.I looked at her and she nodded and I dug in.She giggled as I inhaled the duck meat."Thank you!"I said to her.she giggled again."Hi,I'm sadie who are you?"she asked"Uhh...I'm Zuko,nice to meet you."I said"uh...I'm looking for a wolf pack to join."I said."Follow me!"sadie said and ran off.

 Soon we arravied at and entrence to a cave.Sadie walked straight in,and I followed her wary.There was a large pack of wolves inside.At first every one glared at me,in this hatting look but then a large black and silver wolf walked over to me."My daughter says you need a pack and that you are a hybread with husky and wolf."He told me.I looked up at him."Ummm,yes,...I MEAN YES SIR!"I said a little scared."Hmmm,you may stay with us,but you must live by are rules."He told me."I will,sir."I told him.He slung a carabu's leg to me."Eat,you'll need your streang."He told me.I wasn't very hungrey but I ate it so I would'nt offened them.

  The few months after that were hard for me.One Time,we went a week without cathing any food.evey hunt we went on,we cound'nt even cath the send of food.After the long hike,when we returned home,I was so weak I would colapse at the enterence of the cave.When we did evetually cathch food,it took forever for by turn to come to eat.And this other time a pack crossed into are terrotory.There was a huge fight.If it weren't for Sadie protecting me,I would have been killed.This only was the beginning of the hard ships of a wolf.

  I also had alot of problums with spike.He all ways bagged on me for bieing part husky.He pulls pranks on me all the time.He just thought it would be so funny if I happened to step on a pine cone and start whimmpering.I was tired of it,so I left the pack.

 On the 2nd day,spike found me."Well are you lost,or running home to mommy?"He joked at me.I growled but sadie came up to me."Don't fight him,at least not yet."She told me.And she lead me back to the pack.

 It wasn't a week since I was back and spike had pulled another prank on me.I was tiered of it!I lowered my head and growled at him."You know what jerk,You've pulled pranks on me but not yet have you challanged to fight,Ethier you think it would be to easy or you think you'll get to messy,but if you ask me,YOUR A WEAK PATHETIC JCOWARD THAT JUST GAINS WEIGHT TO LOOK STRONG SO YOU WONT GET YOUR TAIL KICKED IN A FIGHT!"I yelled at him.At first he looked surprized at me,but when every one started laughting at him he disided to fight.

 I locked my jaws around his front left leg and slung him on the ground.He started to get up so I slung him down again.I took a small bight at his stomach but he took my paw and twisted it.I yelped and backed of a little while he got upje looked at me for a place to strike.He disided to go for my hind right leg.He lunged at me but I stood my ground,until the last miunte and jumped straight over him.As I started to land I took his tail and slung him in front of me.Then I Jumped to his back and started ripping it until blood splatered all over my face and then he fell to his back exposing his neck.We both knew it was all over.

I started to lunge at his neck,but stopped at the last miunte and stepped off of him."I'll let you go,but if you EVER mess with me again-!"I looked away."I will kill you."I said.

 That night I went by the lake and looked at my reflecttion.Sadie came up to me and sat beside me."Whats the matter,you just won a fight you should be happy.she told me."no...I can't"I told her."I can't be happy...I allmost killed somone"I told her."that's because you were protecting YOUSELF!wolves take care of them selves and there friends and family."She told me."Say that again!"I told her."What?Wolves protect their frieinds and family?"She asked."Sadie I have to go!"Itold her and got up."Why?"She asked me."Cody."I said."Cody?Who's that?"she asked me."My friend...my family."I told her.

 I started to leave them she called my name."ZUKO WAIT!"I looked at her."What?"I asked."I want to go with you,And be In your famly."She said and blushed.I stood there for a moment then I said to her."Yes."

 that night was the night that WE started are journy "Home"
