Man's Best Racing Partner

Prologue

Some time in 2001, a world record was set. It was for the first racing series to have dogs as passengers. All the major sponsers, including Spoon Sports, Tein, Nismo, and Rockstar became involved in this kind of racing. Now in 2005, it is world renowned as the fourth sport to include dogs as partners.

Chapter 1

Spoon was pacing back and fourth through the garage of the Spoon Sports Acura RSX, when a thought formed in his mind. "Why do we do this, there is almost no point," He thought to himself. He was about to continue, when he heard his driver, Dave shouted, "C'mon boy, the race is about to start."

Spoon walked over to the RSX, the hopped in next to Dave. He turned the key, and the RSX sprung to live, the DC5 engine purring like a kitten. "Alright boy, here we go," Dave muttered. Spoon looked at Dave, sweat was trickling down his face. It was obvious that he was nervous, due to it being the regional championship.

Spoon nudged Dave, Dave turned toward him. A smile overcast the nevous look. He said in a reassuring tone, "Thanks boy." Spoon started to think again, "Why is he so tense, it's either because were at the back or the poll, or because it's the regionals." Dave scratched Spoon behind the ears.

The RSX rolled into it's position in the back of the poll. Dave revved the engine, as he did the car rattled a bit. "Good, the suspension seems to be working," Dave said to himself. Spoon looked up to see their rival, the The Tein USA Toyota Altezza. "Great, they're not having much luck either, being placed 18th," He thought to himself.

Dave continued to rev the engine. The light went from red, to yellow, then flashed green, and all of the cars sprung from their positions, as the race begun.
