Luminate Part 1
By The Soldier
Jenna and Balto have their second litter of pups! But one is different...TOO different.
Jenna had just came home from going into labor with her second litter of pups. As she and her mate, Balto, lay down with their new pups, they named each one. The first one, a cinnamon male with chocolate eyes and a chocolate colored band on his left front foot paw, was named Choco. The next, a rusty-n-white female that looked like her mother was named Jalique.
Then the other male, one that looked like his mom, only boyish and black instead of red, was named Mohabi. The last one, a pure white female with a golden tail tip and silver paws and eyes was named Luminate. She was the only one in the litter that looked like a wolf.
11 months later....
Luminate had fled from her hometown, Nome. She had been teased, beaten, and tortured by the other pups of Nome, including her OWN brothers and sister. With tears running down her face, she looked at Nome. She sat down, grief reeking its horrible pain over her. Her wolf blood rose over her grief. Wiping her eyes with a paw, she summed up the courage to go back in town.
Only halfway confidant, she trotted back in, trying to make a pretense of it by holding up her head. She came across Sabre, a dark tan dog that was totally mean natured. Two others, his cronies Kligger and Bargul, flanked him. Sabre, who had never shown mercy or pity, smirked as he stared into Lumis eye. She prepared herself for serious teasing.
Sabre lowered his head in a growl. "I though' I told yer to beat it, wolf-dog. Are ye that thick-'headed? Here, I'll knock some sense in t'there!"
He lunged at her. He struck her across the face, and she was knocked a few feet, facedown, into the snow. Sabre's sniggering, mingled with his allies and the stabbing pain on her face made something rise within her. With a bone chilling noise somewhere between a growl and a cry of unleashed pain emerged from her.
Sabre wasn’t fast enough to retaliate to Luminates mad breakout. With a single leap, Lumi had her tormentor floored, and she lashed out at him with the strength of some wild animal. Sabre then fought back. Rolling around in bloodstained snow, they fought, snarling, screeching, and yelping.
Sabre had only time enough for one yelp as he was thrown to his death against a wall. There was a scrunching sound as he hit it, and then he went limp, his form sliding down the wall.
Lumi was panting heavily, and wounds scarred her form as she stared at Sabre. Kligger snarled and jumped her, but she turned and bit down on his paw. He screeched out, then fled, Bargul following.
2 months after the fight...
Luminate had found love. A pup of equal age had come along, and they fell in love. But Lumi found it not last, as this 'love' would prove. His name was Jacklin, a pure black husky. One day, in front of every young dog in Nome, he broke her heart. "Luminate, I must tell you before I go mad and kill you. I do not, and never did, love you. I used you to get to my TRUE love, Malisk. But I didn’t have to; she loved me from the start. Now, get your UGLY face outta my sight, you offend me!" he said, and then puffing out his chest, he trotted off with Malisk, the beautiful cream husky.
The same feeling as had happened two months ago with Sabre swept in. With the cry of that snarl and the pain mix, she charged him. Grabbing his throat, she snapped it with the anger that only pain can make. Then she fled from the scene, running from Nome and into the woods. Behind her, she could hear angry cries of the young dogs, pursuing her. Hurtling into an old foxhole, she watched as the dogs flew past, barking angrily and watching for her form fleeing through the trees.
Sniggering quietly, she jumped from the foxhole. Shaking herself, she went the opposite direction of the dogs and deeper into the woods. She did not care to see her mom and dad again, or her other sister and brothers.
Then a big white thing suddenly tackled her!

Luminate Part 2: Painful
By The Soldier
Luminate knew she was an outcast by now. She had killed two dogs in Nome, and now the whole dog population of Nome was after her blood. She bared her teeth angrily. Who needed them? Who needed anyone? Not her. Shedidnt need Balto, Jenna, her family, or anyone. She walked further into the woods, not sure of what to do.
Suddenly she was aware of a hissing and slithering noise. Not sure what it was, she looked about. Not looking where she was going, she stepped on a snake! It struck swiftly, sinking its poisons fangs into the right side of her. She howled and scratched at it madly until it was dead.
The poison was taking effect. Dragging herself weakly into a hollow tree, she lay there. Then her world went black as she passed out. She awoke with a searing pain on the right side of her face, and she was very weak. She had taking healing lessons from somewhere, so she gathered herbs were growing from the snow around and inside the tree.
For months she kept herself alive with the herbs, and also one other source: her hatefulness of the dogs of Nome. She wanted her revenge.
A Year Later....
Luminate had just finished her meal. The sleek half-breed had grown considerably, training in strength and so forth for a full year now. Her muscles bulged from her white coat, but she was not all the same. A year ago, a snake had bit her on the right side of her face. She lived, despite the poison, but she was forced to wear a gold silken skull mask to hide the ugliness.
She had gained herself a small territory. Here, she planned to start her own pack until she had a pack large enough to kill all the dogs in Nome. She didn’t care what happened to them, as long as she got her revenge.
