They were both giggling as they lay down, rolling back and forth, kissing and laughing in ecstasy. They sat up again, looking into each other’s eyes, breathing heavily. “Are you ready?” asked Balto. “I am,” said Jenna. “May I?” he asked. “Yes, you may,” she said. Jenna stood and turned around so her back was facing Balto, brushing his neck with her tail. Balto pushed himself onto and up Jenna’s back, feeling the warmth of her body. He slowly clasped his paws around her chest, which heaved with his. They could feel each other’s hearts pounding, knowing what was coming. She closed her eyes, tilting her head back to touch his. He closed his eyes and leaned his head forward to touch hers. And then, magic. Pure, smoldering, sugary magic. Right then, there was no world, no Alaska, no Nome. Even the little room, the fireplace and the bed were in a haze. It was just each other, nothing more and nothing less. They kissed; oh, such a fantastic kiss. They released, and gasping for breath, they held on for dear life as they flew down the roller coaster that their love was spiriting them along on. It was eternity and moments at the same time.

Then, it was over.

“I love you, Jenna.”
“I love you too, Balto.”    

The two of them lay down, gasping and panting. “Oh, wow,” Balto gasped. “Oh, yeah,” Jenna breathed. “That was…” “I know.” They took a few seconds to gain some breath back. Jenna rolled over so she was facing Balto and spoke. “Oh, my love, it was awesome! I want it. I want it again!” “Me, too, Jenna. I want it, too! Please, let me have you!” “Come on! I’m yours; take me!” “Man, I can’t hold back!”

Two hours passed. Two hours of the sweetest euphoric heaven that rendered the expectations of either lover cheap. Finally, giggling and kissing, they took a break, trying to hold themselves up on shaky legs. “I think we should go to bed now,” said Balto. “Yeah,” said Jenna, “we’ll need some sleep after this. It’s a shame, really. I want it to last forever.” “So do I. I so wish it could be that way.” They moved a few of the cushions, making space by piling them at one end to serve as a place to rest their heads, and lay down, snuggling up against each other, holding each other close. “Goodnight, Jenna.” “Goodnight, Balto.” “Now let’s close our eyes, go to sleep, and wake up to a whole life together.” Jenna laughed softly. “Okay. I’ll dream about you.” “Ditto.” They kissed, long and soft, and let their heads settle to the cushions, each of their heads touching the others’. “I love you, baby,” said Balto. “I love you, my man,” said Jenna. With that, they slowly drifted into the happiest sleep of their lives.
