The Sawtooth Wolves

Akai- First male of the Sawtooth Pack

Makuyi-First female of the Sawtooth pack who is later removed.

Four pups are introduced to Akai and Makuyi

Kamots-Confident, unafraid, curious and could be taken from the litter without becoming upset. He later becomes Alpha.

Lakota- Kamots brother, quiet, distant and wary with watchful intelligence.

Aipuyi-Kamots and Lakota's sister, always vying for status with her packmates, uncomfortable being held.

Motaki-A female from a different litter, First omega, deeply subordinate and timid and would hide when humans approached. She loved games and used humor to deflect abuse away from herself, as well as to break apart unruly conflicts between other pack members. Later is ruefully killed by a mountain lion.

In 1992, three more pups are introduced to litter and Kamots, at 15 months old, immediately assumed the role of alpha pack leader.

Motomo-Jet black, intense yellow eyes, filled with curiousity and always the first to investigate something new. He liked attention and got it through a combination of persistence and a talent for mischief.

Matsi-Gold mask rather then gray, elegant structured face and a long snout. Gentle and neutral with the other wolves. He formed a special bond with Kamots and the two would often sleep together. Later he would become Beta of the pack.

Amani-had the darkest face mask of all the wolves and prefered eating and sleeping rather then jostling for rank within the pack.

Three more pups were introduced later on

Chemuhk-Later became alpha female

Wyakin-Later became omega

Wahots-Loved to howl and was very layed back.
