escaped you like a wet eel on Expresso. And I really think that's
because all said and done you don't want to get it at all. The point
was not for Pete to be the hero at all, but to put him in the role of
an "Edmund Pevensie," in some sense. His convition that everyone hated
him was a self-fulfilling prophecy: in essence, he chose to be
miserable and disliked.
The tongue clicking, I apologize for. I
was trying to convey some degree of body languge, and it seems I
overused some forms a bit.
Luna's lack of involvement was
chiefly due to character transition. Normally she's a go-getter,
always in the thick of the action. But for this one she had to be a
new mother, which made for a minimal involvement in the main plot.
Once more, I'm please you enjoyed my story. I just wish you'd get
the reason I wrote it.
wolf_girl --> Thank you very much.

hero, I thought it was...someone else. Pete is improving as a brother
and son. That is true of the self serving in the tail, but I know
Terry if she tried hard enough, could have stop it, and not even YOU
can change that. I will always believe that Terry refused to
understand her son, and that's why a lot things went sour. She waited
for him to understand her. Still not fully put on how he views Rex...I
think it different now...
Terry kinda seemed to flutter
around, why? I think she would understand everything Pete does, if she
thought about rather then always saying 'why.' If she thought about
why, and not just the word, this all would have happened so long ago.
As said Terry no longer had the heart to be Pete's
mother, so Pete had to first become her son again 1st, for her to be
his mother again.
Some points of the story is fact that
Pete is changing, and he did go find help for it, also showed that he
isn't the only stubborn one in the family(You showed Toby can be just
as stubborn, so brotherly similar, I thought.), to change it only
needed a 'little' push.
I still worry this all might
backfire, he might slowly do better, be happy he might be like a
Harvey Dent, his love interest is hurt or permanently harmed, I think
he'd get worse then before. So I'm still worried about Pete.
The tong thing you don't have to worry about, I note, Terry,
and Luna are both mother-like now so some ways they talk might be
similar, and Toby is blood from Terry so in a sense it makes sense for
them to do it.
DT...it isn't the most encouraging words
to say someone doesn't get the story, in fact it is rather offensive.
Every story can be seen in two ways. "Every story has two sides" I
tend to look at the other side not seen, which is why Pete is my
favorite character and not Judge Toby. You watch a movie you go to
it's creator and he says to you 'Glad you enjoyed the movie, but fail
to get why I made it, or understand the characters.' In a heart beat,
that would no longer be fan.
If you are going to say that
to someone, you should at least point out, how you wanted it to be
read, and not just go, 'you don't get.' ok....can you tell me, 'read
it again, if you try to understand then you'll see.' I don't like you
anymore.(small act there) So please explain how every single reader
should read this part and interpret it. So they aren't so illiterate
to the writer, the writer has say they are illiterate, but in a nice
way. Please tell DT.
Apollo 13, you can write something
that tells about how epically it fails at even remotely landing on the
moon. That is why you wrote it, but some people read it and thought it
was a story about getting three men home, from impossible odds. Thus
the title "Successful Failure." Hopefully you can see my point here.
That isn't what the writer wanted, but it was how it turned out for
some, and it is true for both parties.
I'm rather
comforted by the fact you didn't deny or confirm the omen about
Terry....I'm going to be on edge for a while, because of that. it
isn't even funny.
I will dispute as a writer, just
because a character is in certain position doesn't mean they are
useless to the story, you could easily have her as main character, but
you seem to be more of character writer, and I'm not so gifted, but
I've been told by several writing teachers old and current, and peers
that I'm heavily plot driven. Plot writer, but not a gifted character
writer, as you are.
be no more for the time being, however - Idea's don't last forever.
However, it's brilliant, heart warming and epic. Thanks for
writing such brilliant fanfics.
central role and we could see more into the reasons that he acted and
felt the way he did. He's always been such an interesting character
and I had a feeling you were going to do more with him than just keep
making him the recurring "bad guy" who fails both epicly and
humorously. I'm also glad he gets a chance to heal now and regain the
family he thought he lost.
However, the suspense at the
end was...a little weak, for me at least. I wasn't really fooled into
thinking that you'd actually killed him off. Perhaps this is just
because we really aren't introduced into his master's habits, or maybe
the faux death technique is over-used. It just didn't seem all that
convincing. That's just my opinion though, as an avid reader.
Otherwise, wonderful, as always! I'm heading to read that
fic on Aniu you posted now ^.^
so well crafted and beautiful. Bravo!

fanfic in the most popular fanfic list. I've got to say, no wonder
this story is number 1! It was very touching. I'm almost embarrassed
to say I almost cried. It's nice to know that Pete isn't always going
to be such a butthead, though I'm sad that Toby and the gang won't be
around for awhile. Still, new pursuits are always good for an author,
and you are one of the best!
