This story is not just supposed to be all about violence it is about courage and letting go when you lose something.

Chapter 1

The easy going breeze flows into Cassie's nose. You never can really consider her happy or depressed. Just normal. That was all she ever was. She never seemed completely full of joy or tottally down in the dumps. Some find that boring. But, after being around Cassie for a while you wish that everyone was like that.

She slumps slowly over to the far end of the pack's den.

"Well, I'm going to sleep." Cassie states in a nervous tone.

The pack gives her a slight glare than leaves to go on a usual hunt.

After being asleep for almost an hour Cassie hears a rustling in the bushes outside the den. She had no clue what was coming to her next.

Chapter 2

The young wolf jumps up and runs outside. A dark wolverine with almost yellow eyes they were so gold stood infront of Cassie. She felt as if her eyes were going to pop out of her head.

"Do you believe in Nava?" The wolverine asks.

Cassie nods. "Yes."

The wolverine pounces forward and bites Cassie's kneck the blood was sinking into the snow turning it blood red as well. In seconds, Cassie was dead.

Another young wolf named Lacey heard the noise. She walked outside. There was Cassie's body. Lacey gasped. The wolverine was gone now. So she didn't know what had happened.

"EVERYONE!" She screams.

The other rush outside to find the horroific sight.

"I heard about the wolverine that is doing this. He is a killer." Said their leader, Lisander.

Lacey began to weep. This was just horrible. Her heart began pounding fast. This couldn't happen now, Cassie was a very dear friend to Lacey. She had never seen death flash before her eyes like that. What kind of creature would just go around using violence for amusment? Before anyone could say anything Lacey rushed into the den. Lisander knew what she was going to do, it was what Lacey did anytime she got depressed or devastated. She would runaway from her feelings.

Chapter 3

About a month later Lacey sat by the river with a wolf named Rachel. They didn't talk much but they both figured now was a good time.

"I'm sorry about Cassie." Rachel says.

Lacey growls. "I don't wanna talk about it." She runs away from Rachel. She felt so angry at everybody all the time now. Whats happening to me? Lacey asks herself. She sat in the den and dozed off to sleep.

Rachel still sat outside by the river. Again there was a noise by the bushes. She began shaking with fear.

Like it happened for Cassie the wolverine jumped infront of Rachel.

"Do you believe in Nava?" He asked.

She answered him knowing what would happen. "Yes."

The wolverine raced to Rachel's kneck and bites down hard. Rachel screamed for help. Lacey just so happened to hear her.

"Rachel!" She yelled.

Lisander heard the three and ran to their side. He pulled the wolverine away from Rachel as the rest of the pack came.

The wolverine yelped and ran away as fast as he could.

"The only thing her feared was fear itself." Lacey said still in shock.She felt safer now for some strange reason.

Chapter 4

Lisander and Lacey were walking and talking.

"I knew I should've been looking after you all more. It just felt so fine and safe. But, I guess I was wrong." Lisander whispered.

Lacey shook her head. "It wasn't your fault, this could've happened no matter what we did."

"I think you should leave the pack." Said Lisander.

"Huh?" Lacey was confused.

"There are many nice people in Nome. I dunno if you knew this but you're part dog."

"Really?"

"Yeah. So you would be fine staying there I'm sure."

Lacey blushed. "I think that would be nice."

And so Lisander nods his head to her. "Goodbye old friend."

She smiles at him. "I will say yes." Lacey nods goodbye and walks toward the far off town.

Lacey than lives with a family in Nome and is happy with her life. The wolverine from the attack was never seen again. Lisander and the pack moved toward the Great Water to stay safier and away from the scene. Rachel was not very harmed and was still alive and well.
