Wolf tales part 1

A howl sounded in the distance. Balto heard a voice calling him "Balto!" Was it Jenna? No, it was this light tan wolf dog that looked just like his daughter Aleu! Who was this wolf?

"Balto. I can't believe your..."

The wolf didn't finish because Balto woke up.

"Boris! Don't let me eat fish before bed again!"

"Yes boychick!"

"I'm going to Jenna's."

While Balto was on his way to Jenna's house, he was thinking about that wolf dog. He looked so much like Aleu, but Aleu was more wolf than him. Plus, Balto thought the only wolf dogs were him and his offsprings. Since Balto was not watching were he was going, he ran right into Jenna.

"Balto! Why were you not watching where you were going? You could have hurt yourself!"

"Sorry Jenna. Its just that. You know those dreams I was having after you had Aleu and the pups. I had a dream last night...."

"Balto, look you already went on a quest saying your going to find Aleu and bring her back home, but you didn't. Your not going on some ridiculous quest again."

"There was a wolf and It knew my name. He couldn't believe that it was me, but the scary part was that he looked just like Aleu."

"Balto, It was only a dream. Go to the boat and rest."

Once Balto was asleep, a different dream came. He felt blind, and wet. He was right by his mother, her fur was very warm. Another pup was right next to him. His eyes were starting to open. The pup looked like Aleu, but he was also a pup. Then it hit him. That male wolf-dog is my brother! Then a frightening part came to him in his dream. The intensity of his mother's howl.

"Talbourine Clan! Ripple is coming for me! We must leave at once! Nava, gather the strongest wolves and help me defend my pups!"

"Yes Aniu!"

"Aloe, Kemo, Anyu, and Balto come here. Three wolves are going to take three of you out of here. The other I'm taking."

"But mother, how on earth are we going to find you again?!"

"Aloe, you will know. Your heart will lead you to me again."

"Aniu are they ready?"

"Yes. Take one boy and the girls."

"Aloe don't leave me brother!"

"Balto!"

Then Balto heard a growl. His mother picked him up and ran. She seemed to run for days upon days. Until finally she stopped at an abandoned boat. Somewhere in the distance they heard a wolf yelling "Aniu! Where are you?" But Aniu didn't take a chance. She grabbed Balto for a reason. She wanted him to become his father, Sal. Sal was a husky who always won the sled races. But Ripple murdered Sal in cold blood. He tried to kill Aniu but, he sortof killed her. She had one thing to say to Balto:

"Balto, I know your asleep but, if you do remember this, Today is a Gift, But tomorrow is a blessing. Remember that my son."

Then Balto woke up. His mother and father were dead. But what about his siblings? Aloe, Kemo, and Anyu? Surely they were still alive?

"Boris! I'm going into the woods."

"okay."

While Balto was in the woods he heard pawsteps behind him. He spun around just in time to see his follower. This male looked just like Aleu, a little like the wolf-dog in his dreams. The wolf standing right in front of Balto was the wolf-dog in his dreams under the dirty, matted, and stinky coat of his. Was Aloe, Balto's big brother!
