An Unavoidable Destiny

By Ahura Werewolf

I and my brother were born in a cave

under the human spires on the hill.

When I grew, my elders told me stories

of Wolfbane and of the Wolf Gods Tor and Fenris

I was fascinated by the story of The Sight

thinking these stories would never touch upon my life.

I was wrong.

My scarred Aunt Morgra paid us a visit

she cursed us and left with the strick of lighting

My pack left the safety of the den under the Human Spires

and tried to make their escape from Morgra's influence.

Little by little our pack dwidled under the curse

My brother was lost in the reflection of the stillness of the ice

I and Kar left my parents arguing on the banks of the frozen river

Fire torn through the forest separating me from Kar

With my tail burnt I staggered through the world

sad and anger to my heart. I met the eagle Skart and he along with

Tsarr the wolf taught me to use the sight.

I would enter out from my wolf body and into the mind of Skart as he

explained many things to me.

I was then ready to take the mantle of responsibility

and reveal my destiny

I arrived to find the wolves and the searchers of Morgra had fought

many broken bodies of wolves lay everywhere

Their eyes blank and sad. Faces looking in horror at the shadows of

their lost loved ones appear to them.

I met my parents my heart burst with joy to see them finally after all

this time thinking they were dead with my brother.

I settled down on the ground and howled my call rising high into the

air "Fenris" I emitted no sound, my body slumping as I made the

journey down the pathways of the dead.

I awoke in a gray lifeless forest I came to a field of blood red poppies.

I walked into it, shadowy silver figures made their way towards me.

I tolded them they could have the meat in my jaws if they answered

my questions.

Once they did I allowed one of them to feast on the meat. When this

searcher gorged I recognized my old friend and went to her

Our noses touching, Tsarr noticed my body breathing became labored.

A flash of colors and everything was so beautiful I cannot describe it in

words.

As my body died I felt at peace, I was lead to the other side of the field

and saw my brother standing there he looked like he did in life.

My parents called my name trying to pull me back but I had a hard time

ignoring their calls I remember what Tsarr had said "to deny them is to

deny life"

I heard a voice calling my name I thought it was impossible for me to

be hearing his voice. I turned and ran back through the bloody field.

I awoke, he was starring down at me. He licked and nuzzled me

I thought I had entered a dream because he was there

his sweet smell filling my lungs the soft beat of his heart and I knew it

was real.

I and the remaining rebels made our way to Hjarra the Roman Temple

I fused with the man child and saw the vision of the future.

Man developing a new and devistating weapon that wipes out

everything in its path with heat.

He gaining control of the elements and causing a winter to come

upon the earth. My brother I had help be pulled from the darkness

stood by watching this vision along with my parents and all the wolves

Once it ended Morgra laughed elated at the vision her hatred washed

over me like a wave. My brother gave me his anger as I shielded him

with my love. Morgra was defeated, the ground shook as the mountain

collapsed I tried to escape by jumping over a ravine. I missed and

fell to my doom unable to escape my destiny. My death sadden Kar but

I gave him a vision of hope. Humans standing side by side one with

nature and ashamed of their brutality. They looked at Kar with the

eyes of a wolf men and women together. Even though he would miss

me I would always be with him.
