Silver Moon: " Balto!"

Balto: " That was really unexpected."

Aniu: " Kids never cease to amaze us, we all knew she would talk sooner or later."

Island: " Yet we act as it were the seventh wonder of the world, Aniu."

Silver Moon: " Aniu?"

Island: " Yes, little peace. Her name is Aniu."

 

Silver Moon: " Peace, that's the only thing I ever remember my father saying."

Island: " Yes, we used to call you peace. I was the first one to say it and then it spread. It was your nickname. White meant pureness and peace and that's what we called you."

Silver Moon: " So you called me peace when I learned to talk?"

 Island nodds.

Island: " Does anyone else call you that?"

Silver Moon: " *smiles* Only Miksa."

Island: " He is your mate. A nice choose by the way, he's very loyal and trusting. Like Balto."

Silver Moon: " So Balto's like a brother?"

Island: " Like a brother that was also your first friend."

Silver Moon: " So...when we met in the forest it wasn't a coincidence?"

Island: " No, my peace. It was fate."

Silver Moon: " Fate? Will this happen a lot?"

Island: " Yes, you already know what this is."

Silver Moon: " So, what other mischivness did I do?"

Island: " *laughs* Okay, we'll keep on watching."

 

 Silver Moon was singing to herself.

Silver Moon: " Give them hope. Give them life, don't let go; just hold on tight. Give them dreams, give them laughter. Give them a memory to remember."

 She moves to the side and doesn't notice Balto getting ready to pounce.

Silver Moon: " Bring happiness, rid sadness. Reach the stars and make them a gift. Help those in need, cure the sick ones. Go to heaven and bring the loved ones."

 Balto jumps out of the bushes.

Balto: " Gotcha!"

Silver screams as Balto pounces on her. Soon both are rolling in the snow. Balto ends up on a bush, paws in the air while Silver struggles to get her head out of the snow. Balto tries to get off the bush and ends up face first in the snow. He lifts his head and shakes as if nothing hapened.

Balto: " *laughs* I got you good!"

 Silver pops her head out.

Silver Moon: " Why'd you do that?"

Balto: " A little revenge."

Silver Moon: " When did I do that to you?"

Balto: " Lots of times before you could talk."

Silver Moon: " Gosh, you scared me."

Balto: " Yeah, I could tell when you screamed."

Silver Moon: " Thanks."

Balto: " What were you singing by the way?"

Silver Moon: " Nothing."

Balto: " Oh well."

Silver Moon: " Tag!"

 She ran off.

Balto: " Hey!"

 He ran after her.

 

Silver Moon: " That song, it sounds familiar."

Island: " Give them hope, give them life. Don't let go; just hold on tight. Give them dreams, give them laughter. Give them a memory to remember. Memories, such beautiful memories."

Silver Moon: " Bring happiness, rid sadness. Reach the stars and make them a gift. Help those in need, cure the sick ones. Go to heaven and bring the loved ones."

Island: " My peace! My daughter! You sing beautifully, especially with that song."

Silver Moon: " Wha? Uh, I just closed my eyes and sang it unconsciously."

Island: " Yes, your instints did that. That song... Now, let me show you about it."

 

Island: " My little peace, she's just that when she's sleeping. It brings such Tranquility."

Stripes: " It turns a night into heaven."

Island starts humming.

Stripes: " Island?"

Island: " Oh, sorry. It reminds me of a song that has been passed down for centuries. Give them hope, give them life. Don't let go; just hold on tight. Give them dreams, give them laughter. Give them a memory to remember.  Bring happiness, rid sadness. Reach the stars and make them a gift. Help those in need, cure the sick ones. Go to heaven and bring the loved ones. Dream a dream, live a life. Enjoy every moment that passes by. Make new friends, be with old ones. Put them all together and don't go and loose them."

Stripes: " Beautiful."

 They hear a voice.

Voice: " Dream a dream, live a lif. Enjoy every moment that passes by. Make new friends, be with old ones. Put them all together and don't go and loose them."

 Island looks towards the voice and sees Silver Moon layed down, sleepy and smiling.

Island: " Silver, you should be asleep."

Silver Moon: " But I wanna learn the song."

Stripes: " That's exactly what we'll do tomorrow."

Silver Moon: " Okay."

 She curls up and goes to sleep.

Island: " She's very energetic. *sigh* It's exhausting having to take care of her."

Stripes: " It's contagious. Aniu says that Balto has more energy than usual."

Island: " Let's hope it doesn't rub off on us."

Stripes: " I doubt it. Cubs are very playful at this age. I remember I used to be like that."

Island: " So she got it from you."

Stripes: " I guess, it's late. We should go to sleep."

Island: " Yes, Good night."

Stripes: " Good night."

 They nuzzle each other and go to sleep. The next morning Island is awakened from Silver Moon.

Silver Moon: " Wake up! Wake up! Show me the song! Show me the song!"

Island: " Okay, just let me get up."

 Silver gets off.

Island: " Now, it goes like this...

 Island and Silver are singing together, they sound as beautiful as crystal chimes being blown by a gentle, yet strong wind. Stripes is sitting next to them listening to the wonderful voices, they sound as precious as the aurora, even better than angels singing. Then, sadly, they finish and the serenity ends.

Stripes: " Beautiful, simply beautiful! I've never heard or seen anything better!!"

Island: " That was our first rehearsal also."

Stripes: " You sing so gracefully...  no one can describe it."

Silver Moon: " Did I sing well daddy?"

Stripes: " You sang better than that."

 Silver giggled and smiled as hard as she could.

 

Silver Moon: " It was unexplainable."

Island: " You still have that voice, an angel voice. Other than your fur it is your best feature."

Silver Moon: " Everything is my best feature. *sigh*"

Island: " Not fighting, or lying. You're stubborn, sometimes you do things before thinking. Silver, no one's perfect."

Silver Moon: " What happened to Balto before the 'thing'? And my dad?"

Island: " Balto, he wasn't really treated well. Mainly because he's half dog."

Silver Moon: " So I was his only friend?"

Island: " Oh no, he had other friends. But rarely played with them. Their parents didn't want them playing with a hybrid."

Silver Moon: " What about my dad?"

Island: " *sigh* Let's let the lake tell that story."

 

 Island was walking through the forest with her cub. She was showing Silver Moon their territory. It was best in case she got lost.

Silver Moon: " Mommy, I think something is following us."

 Island stops and sniffs the air.

Island: " Come on Silver Moon. Don't worry about it."

 She continued walking, ignoring the scent and the creepy feeling. Silver walked to the bushes and sniffed it. She ran towards her mother.

Silver Moon: " Mommy, it almost hit my nose!"

Island: " All right, nobody hurts my pup!"

 She turned around and saw a big black bear with shiny fur and glowing yellow eyes. There it standed, easily over towering Island and her cub.

Island: " Why didn't you tell me it was a bear?"

Silver Moon: " You didn't ask."

 The bear roared and Island immediatly grabbed the white pup and ran off, The bear chased.

 Island ran as fast as her legs let her. Her paws kicked snow as she jumped over an old worn-out log. The bear easily broke it and kept chasing Island. It could've already caught them if Island didn't make so may turns. The silver wolf kept running, not being able to pant with the cub in her mouth.

 She began to slow down and tire as she ran further. No! Her heart screamed as she gain speed and ran faster. Her body told her to slow down, but fear and mother instincts kept pushing her foward. Stopping meant death, any wolf knew that. Now wasn't a good time to at least slow down, her chance of survival was already low.

  Island made another turn as everything inside her burnt with pain. She ignored it as hard she could, knowing that her reward was life. Suddenly, the bear appeard in front of her. It stood on its hind legs as the two wolves watched, fear in their eyes. Island took some steps back. She should've brought someone with her.  Evrything happened too fast to react. The bear lifted it's paw and swung it at Island, not being able to stop it, she let go of Silver Moon, the white cub landing in the snow.

  Island looked at her until she bounced when landing. When still rolling hard, she crashed into a tree. The silver wolf heard something crack. She looked up and saw Silver standing scared as the bear walked closer and closer towards her. Island struggled to get up, but her hind legs wouldn't budge. She looked at Silver, she tried to get away, but the bear kept blocking her escape.

   Silver Moon tried until the bear showed his teeth and almost lift her into the air. She landed and tried to run, but tripped on a rock and fell into the snow. Silver got on her back and saw the bear, before she was able to do anything, it started to crush her with its paw. Silver struggled as the bear tried to put all the weight as possible. She started to cry out.

Silver Moon: " Mommy! Mommy! Help me! Please!"

 She shrieked and cried as the bear roared, Island looked at her daughter. She tried and tried to get up, but the encounter with the tree had hurt her badly. She let out tears as her daughter screamed.

Silver Moon: " Mom! Mama! Ah!"

Island: " Silver Moon! My peace! (whispering) Please, help her. Help her, help her get away safely. Please."

Silver Moon: " Mom! AHH! MAMA!!"

Island: " Leave her alone! Leave her!! Let her be! Get away you flea-bitten mangy bear! Get away! Monster!!"

  Island tried and tried, she barked at him and showed her bare teeth. Nothing else mattered. Not even her life, as long as that bear was away
