Silver Moon: " It's late so we might as well sleep."

Miksa: " *yawns* I noticed."

Silver Moon: " Night."

Miksa: " Mmhm."

Silver Moon: " (thinking) It'd be nice to be able to play it again mom."

 She cuddles up next to Miksa and falls asleep.

Miksa wakes up and yawns. He notices that Silver is cuddled in a ball next to him, and it stopped raining. He gets up and stretches. He heads out of the cave, not noticing that Silver was following him. He sees a rabbit and catches it, on his way back he jumps at a bark behind him. He looks behind and sees Silver Moon with the rabbit in her mouth.

Silver Moon: " Mmph mm mmm."

Miksa: " What?"

Silver Moon: " (she puts the rabbit down) I got you good."

Miksa: " Next time, try not to do that."

Silver Moon: " What's wrong? The puppy couldn't take the joke?"

Miksa grins. They eat the rabbit and head back to the pack.

Storm: " Miksa! I was so worried!"

Alpha's mate: " Where were you?"

Miksa: " We were playing around and it started to rain."

Silver Moon: " So we stayed in a cave for the night."

Diane: " thank goodness you're alright."

Silver Moon: " We're okay."

 All of them go back to their caves. Two months pass.

 

Miksa: " I have to choose a mate?"

Alpha: " It's best if you have one."

Alpha's mate: " Soon you'll be alpha. We're not young anymore."

Miksa: " How to do it?"

Alpha: " We'll choose some females and you'll see which one is best."

Miksa: " *sigh* Very well."

Alpha's mate: " Miksa, this is a tradition. You get to also choose the mate."

Miksa: " (thinking) At least I know my first contestant."

 

Silver Moon: " Be your mate?"

Miksa nodds

Miksa: " Unfortunately, Storm is going to be in the contest too."

Silver Moon: " I guess I'll take a chance."

Miksa heads off.

Storm: " You know, I'm going to win."

Silver Moon: " Well, you do need confidence."

Storm: " If you even try to win, I will track you down myself."

Silver Moon: " There's a reason for why Miksa invited me."

Storm: " And there's a reason for why you're dropping out. Still, I can't believe he'd choose someone as ugly as you."

Silver Moon: " Look who's talking."

 Storm growls and attacks Silver Moon, they're both growling and snarling.

Diane: " Oh no.  Storm! Silver Moon! Stop!"

 Storm holds Silver down.

Storm: " You're gonna wish you hadn't done that."

Diane knocks Storm off.

Diane: " What are you doing?"

Storm: " Leave me alone to finish her!"

She growled and jumped again at Silver, biting her in the paw. Silver yelps. Diane tries to get her off but she just bites harder.

Diane: " Help! Miksa!"

Miksa: " Storm! Get off her!"

Storm: " Oh, I will! Once I finish her!"

  They finally separated the two, Storm still trying to get at Silver. The white wolf licks her paw.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alpha: " Do you understand what you just did?"

Storm: " Yes."

Alpha: " *sigh* Storm, attacking a member means death. But, I'll banish you. Dare you come back and I'll have no other choice."

Storm nodded. Miksa left the room and entered another cave.

Miksa: " Are you alright?"

Silver Moon: " Yes. So what happened?"

Miksa: " She's banished."

Silver Moon: " For once, I'm happy about that."

Miksa: " Me too, I have to admit. She was starting to get on my nerves."

Silver Moon: " You're not the only one."

Miksa: " Your paw will heal soon. Bye."

Silver Moon: " Night."

 He leaves. A week passes by and Silver's paw has healed.

Silver Moon: " This week was so peaceful.”

Miksa: " Hey, I need you to be at the main chamber later, 'kay?"

Silver Moon: " 'Kay."

 Later Silver Moon, a black wolf, twins with tan and black, a reddish brown wolf and a gray and white wolf are at the cave. Miksa, his mom and dad enter.

Alpha: " All of you have been chosen to see which is the best to be Miksa's mate. You need four things. Charmness, skills, loyalness and we'll also test how good you are with children. That is all."

Everyone heads out the cave. Diane meets with Silver Moon.

Silver Moon: " I'm kinda nervous."

Diane: " You'll be fine. Besides, you got nothing to lose."

Silver Moon: " You're right. The pack is more important anyway."

Diane: " Now, don't worry. I know Miksa will pick you."

Silver Moon: " That just makes me a bit more nervous."

Diane: " Calm down and don't worry."

Silver Moon: " You're right."

 She walks on. A month passes and everyone is doing well with the contest. Silver Moon is at a river, near a calm part of it. A black and white wolf appears.

Wolf: " Hello, who might you be?"

Silver jumped.

Silver Moon: " Oh, you startled me, *sigh* I'm Silver Moon and you are?"

Wolf: " Name's Flame. I've never seen a pretty girl like you around here."

Silver Moon: " Uh, that's cause I just found this place."

Flame: " You want to see a prettier place where we can be together?"

Silver Moon: " No thanks, I should really get back to my pack, they don't know I'm around here."

Flame: " We can start our own pack."

Silver Moon: " No, no. I have to go back."

Miksa: " Silver Moon! We've been...        Who are you?"

Flame: " I'm Flame and what are you? Oh, trying to steal my girl, huh?

Miksa: " Your girl?"

Silver Moon: " (whispering) I don't know."

Miksa: " Look, how about you leave?"

Flame: " Oh no way. I'm not going to let some mutt take away my girl."

 He walks in front of Silver. He gets a bit too close for comfort.

Miksa: " Leave her alone."

Flame growls and jumps at Miksa, just like Storm. They fight until Silver knocks Flame off and into the river. He gets up and sees the two wolves growling. He runs.

Miksa: " Are you okay?"

Silver Moon: " Yes, thanks."

   They both stay silent for a minute and then head back.  That night, Silver is looking at the stars. The moon being covered by the clouds so that her eyes aren't glowing.

Silver Moon: " Mom, today was rough, a bit. It's hard to live without you most of the time. But you found someone to take care of me, Diane is like a second mother. Still, it's hard. Sometimes, I feel like this is a nightmare and sooner or later it'll end. That's what I thought at three weeks old but, I found out this is the real world. Mom, I wonder if you can hear me."

 She sees a comet pass by.

Silver Moon: " *smiles* I remember in a dream that you told me every time I see a comet, a life comes to the world."

 She howls. Someone comes from behind her.

Miksa: " Thinking?"

Silver Moon: " It doesn't really matter. Miksa, why do we howl? At the moon I mean."

Miksa: " It's a tradicion ever since anyone can ever remember."

Silver Moon: " It is beautiful."

Miksa: " How about it?"

 By that time the clouds uncovered the moon. Making the wolves eyes glow.

Silver Moon: " Sure."

     They both howl, the aurora starting to dance in the sky. Then, another howl responds. Silver and Miksa howl, the wind passing through their furs.

Silver Moon: " I should sleep, it's late."

Miksa: " You're not the only one who's tired. *yawns*"

Silver Moon: " Night."

Miksa: " Good Night."

  Silver leaves.

Miksa: " (thinking) Should I tell her? Maybe tomorrow."

 He leaves and goes into his cave.  The next morning, Miksa looks for Silver Moon in her cave. She isn't there. He finds her but she runs off. They run for about a mile until Silver finds a waterfall. She trots near and dips herself in it.

Miksa: " (thinking) What is she doing? Her body will go numb!"

  Silver then puts her head in the water.

Miksa: " (thinking) Okay, now she's crazy."

 He comes out of the bush.

Miksa: " What are you doing?"

 Silver looks back.

Silver Moon: " Umm,    relaxing?"

Miksa: " You'll freeze!"

 She comes out of the water.

Silver Moon: " Nope. Look, go into the water."

Miksa: " What?"

Silver Moon: " Go into the water. Trust me."

  He walked near the waterfall and touched the water with his paw. He looked confused. It was...                         warm. Silver Moon got inside the water again, splashing Miksa.

Miksa: " It's warm."

Silver Moon: " It's kinda like a spring. I was taking a walk and I tripped and fell into the water."

Miksa: " How come you never told me before?"

Silver Moon: " I wanted to tell you but, I forgot. Hey, I have another surprise."

 She walked into the waterfall. Miksa stayed there, confused. Then Silver popped her head out and pulled Miksa in.

 They walked through an ice cave where crystals lit the way. The water was still warm. Then, the cave ends and they find a patch of white flowers in a meadow.

Miksa: " Wow. Look at all this."

Silver Moon: " isn't it pretty?"

Miksa: " Yeah."

  Silver gets out of the water and lays down in the field of flowers, blending.

Miksa: " You look just like a flower if it weren't for your nose."

Silver Moon: " Hmm. Hey Miksa."

Miksa: " What?"

Silver Moon: " Tag."

  She runs away and Miksa follows, when they're near the river Miksa trips and both roll into the water. Miksa on top and both touching noses. they blush, get up and stay silent not knowing what to say.

Miksa: " Oh! I wanted to tell you sooner but you came here."

Silver Moon: " What?"

Miksa: " Silver, I want you to be my mate."

Silver Moon stays there, surprised. Then, she smiles.

Silver Moon: " I thought you'd never ask."

 They get out of the cave. Soon they're back at the pack. Diane sees them both and figures out what happened.

Diane: " I knew you'd be together someday."

Silver Moon: " At first, I didn't understand what you meant."

Diane: " You were so little, don't be surprised."

Alpha: " Miksa!"

 He sees Diane and Silver
