" Chapter one, Old Reunions."

On a fresh morning, Boris and Stella's children are playing near the boat until Tod comes to tell his father about a visitor.

Tod: " Mommy! Daddy! There's a visitor!"

Boris: " Who could it be?"

Boris comes to the side of the boat and sees a wolf playing with Oceana.

Boris: " Who are you?"

Wolf: " You don't remember?"

Stella: " Silver Moon! What brings you around here?"

Silver Moon: " I just thought I'd come by and say hello! Bye the way, where's Balto?"

Stefanie: " Uncle Balto and cousin Kodi went on their mail run."

Danny: " Aunt Jenna is at her human's house."

Silver Moon: " No use going there, the humans will freak if they see me."

Sunset: " Why?"

Silver Moon: " Well, how to put this? Humans think that we'll attack anything that isn't family."

Oceana: " Is that true?"

Silver Moon: " No, you guys aren't my family and here you are ruffling your feathers."

Tod: " What'll they do if they see wolves?"

Silver Moon: " Uh, maybe I'll tell you when you're older."

Danny: " How do you know about this stuff?"

Silver Moon: " *sigh* I had a very bad experience when I was two weeks old."

Oceana: " Tell us!"

Silver Moon: " Are you sure? It's a pretty long story."

Stefanie: " We still have all day, it's morning."

Silver Moon: " *sigh* Very well. I remember...

                        " Chapter two, Memories."

There's a puppy, a white wolf cub. She's playing in the mud.

Wolf: " Silver Moon! Come here!"

Silver Moon: " Coming mommy!"

The puppy (now known as Silver Moon) heads toward a cave.

Silver Moon: " Yummy, yummy! Food!"

Island (a silver wolf and her mom): " Yes, now come over here."

Silver Moon: " Yum!"

Island lays down and starts nursing her pup. Once finished she gets up and eats her rabbit.

Silver Moon: " Mommy? Why are you eating a rabbit and not a deer?"

Island: " Ever since we left the pack, it's harder to hunt. Especially with your dad dead."

Silver Moon: " Why did we leave the pack?"

Island: " For safety purposes."

Silver Moon: " Can we play chewbone now?"

Island: " Just let me finish my dinner."

Once Island finishes she starts playing with her cub. She spins around slowly and Silver runs around trying to bite one of her mother's legs, growling playfully. Once they stop playing it's already night, so Silver and Island go to sleep. While Silver is dreaming, her mother wakes her up and grabs her by the scruff of the neck.

Silver Moon: " Mommy? What's going on?"

Island: " The hunters are near, we've got to go! (she grabs Silver)"

Island is running, trying to take her pup to a safe place. She runs between the snow, her paws lifting as she leaps in the fog. Island feels the hunters are near and worries for her pup, knowing that the most possible thing to happen, is, that they will not make it. She makes a hole that isn't big enough because it touches the hard ground sooner than Island expected.  There's no time and Island puts her pup in the hole.

Island: " I've got to go now, wait for me here and don't move."

Silver Moon: " What's going to happen, mama?"

Island lets out a tear.

Island: " I have to go to a dangerous place right now, I'll come back, remember everything I told you."

Silver Moon: " I'll wait mommy."

Island nuzzled her pup and licked her good bye. Then, she disappeared in the fog. Silver stayed there waiting, until, she heard a bang. She lowered her head and put her paws over her nose. Silver heard some footsteps and saw some figures in the fog. They were humans, she got scared and so, closed her eyes. The hunters passed by quickly, one saying, I think it's over here. Silver imagined what it would feel like if an animal got hit by a man's roaring stick. She stayed put and fell to sleep. The next morning, Silver got up and shook off the snow, it was snowing, but she stayed and waited for her mum. The fog had cleared up. Silver wondered when her mom would come back, so she waited and stayed there for three days, no matter how hungry she was. finally, she shivered with hunger and decided to go and look for a quick snack.

" Chapter three, On My Own."

Silver Moon was out looking for something to eat as her stomach was growling incontrollably. She didn't see nothing but snow, until, Silver came upon a daffodail. The pup remembered her mom telling her something about eating flowers. She couldn't remember what her mom said, so, she took her chances and when Silver had the flower in her mouth, she looked surprised and remembered what it was. "Wolves don't eat flowers." Silver let the flower out of her mouth, it had few petals left and was covered with saliva. she licked her paw trying to get rid of the awful flavor. Then, the white and hungry pup started looking for something else to eat.

Silver came upon a moose that was stuck in deep snow, poor Silver almost made a tunnel because of the deepness. She then jumped on a bark of wood and went over to the moose.

Silver Moon: " Excuse me, do you know where I can get some breakfast? I'm hungry." She gave him a look, hoping he would say yes.

Moose: " uh, there's food near a creek by here. Just keep going straight and when you see a bush that looks like a cloud go left."

Silver Moon: " Thank you!"

Silver jumps off the bark and practically swims to the bush. There, the snow isn't that deep anymore. She remembers her mom saying that in a week, Silver is going to start eating meat.

Silver Moon:" (thinking) I don't see any food. But there's water!"

The puppy ran, drooling, to the river and started to drink from the crystal water. Then, something caught her eye. Fish! Silver saw the opportunity to eat something. Silver saw some rocks to cross the river and started to jump on them. When she jumped to the middle rock so she could try fishing, the cub slipped on the icy rock and fell into the river, being carried away. The river took her pretty far, until it stopped calming down, looking more like a creek. Silver got up and started to worry.

Silver Moon: " All I wanted was some food and now, I have to get back, mommy's gonna return soon and she won't find me."

Silver started to shake off the water and shivering, she followed the river to the way she came from. It turned night and Silver hadn't even gotten to the meadow. The wet and hungry puppy was still shivering, and sneezed once in a while. Silver was too worried about not finding her mom to look for food. It was night and Silver Moon was tired. She was three weeks old and felt she had walked two miles. She fell to the snow, exhausted. Then, got up on her feet, remembering what it would feel like to sleep with her mom again. Silver then remembered her hunger, her stomach growling louder than it has her whole life, even if she was barely starting it. She decided to settle in, and, weakly, she made a hole and got herself in it, the snow blanket warming her. Silver felt she was with her mom and slowly, started to sleep.

It was morning and a bump of snow started to shake and soon, Silver Moon was up, about and hungry. She looked at the river and growled and barked at it, trying to make herself look scary.

Silver Moon: " You're the reason I'm far from my mommy!"

She stared at it, angry. Then, changed her mind, whimpering, wanting nothing more than being with her mother and drinking her warm milk,  full.

Silver Moon: " I'm sorry, I'm thirsty. I can't help it."

She slowly walked over to the river, hoping that it would forgive her. Once seeing it didn't do anything, she began to drink its cold water. Silver was hungry, she wanted food. The poor girl didn't eat in four days! She continued walking up the river, hoping to soon see the meadow. After four or five hours, Silver Moon reached the meadow, happy at the sight. Silver decided to try and cross the river, hoping that she could find something at the other side. She jumped across the rocks, when the puppy was about to jump to the next rock, it started to snow. Silver worried, if she crossed the river, the rocks would turn icy, and she couldn't cross the river again for some while. On the other paw, if she stayed on that side, she wouldn't be able to find food and would starve. So, Silver made a decision and kept on crossing. On the other side, Silver started to run, it was already afternoon and she didn't want to spend another day hungry. Especially after having to cross the river, the whole reason she did that was to eat.

Silver ran and found a berry bush, wondering if there was food there, she sniffed around it and through it. A rabbit passed running by her, she noticed it and saw her chance. Silver's mom was eating a rabbit the other day so she chased it, hoping to catch a delicious food. The white cub grew weaker with every step. Until, she couldn’t run anymore. There, Silver looked at the food that soon, disappeared. The puppy whimpered as loud as she could, hoping that someone would feed her and end this torcher. Suddenly, she heard and felt hooves pound. Silver Moon looked at the source and saw a herd of deer running towards her. The scared pup ran and hid in the berry bush she saw earlier. Deer pouncing ans hurrying as fast as they could. Suddenly, one of the deers fell down, being trampled by the rest. Soon, the wolves who were chasing the deer started to eat. They ate their part and then left, dragging the deer. Silver looked at the deer and though that, maybe they would help her. She was excited at the thought and ran out of the bushes, sniffing the scent and started to follow it. Pretty soon she kept up
