Zuko had lied down on the rug in his owner's room.He couldn't stop thinking about the stories his father had told him about Steele.He curled up and quickly fell asleep...but his dream...you'll see.

*dream begeans*

Balto was walking around town one day.He heard his name being called.He looked around.There was steele."You!Half breed!Talk'n to you."he snarled.Balto tryed to ignore him and walked off."Mutt!"he yelled.Balto turned around."GGRRRRR Stop calling me that you glory hog!"Balto snapped."Boys!Stop fighting!"A loud voise boomed.Steele and balto turned around."Two brothers shouldn't fight like this!"the husky yelled.

"Who are you?"Steele snapped."I'm BOTH of your fathers."he said."We can't be brothers!I'm part wolf,he is full husky!No way your are father!Were NOT brothers!"balto barkend."Oh,but I am."He said."I'll explain it."

*flash back*

A brown husky and a pure white wolf,watched as 3 pups played in the snow."Balto,hun,come here for a minute."The white wolf smiled sweetly.A brown high breed walked over."Yes mama?"he smiled.

"will you go tell your brother and sister,it's time for bed?"she asked."But mama."balto winned."Hey,you wanna know somthing?"the brown husky asked the pup."Yeah,Daddy!"the pup barked."At night,the monsters come out to eat little pups who stay up passed there bed time."he joked.Balto gasped,and ran off to tell his siblings."You have a way with words."aniu giggled,looking at her mate.

A few minutes later the 3 pups were snuggled up beside there mother,aniu.The wolf and the husky looked at the night sky.Balto woke up."Mama,I'm hungrey."he winned.She smilled at the pup."stay here with daddy,while I go get you a snak."Aniu smiled.and walked off into the night.

A little while later Balto and his father were looking at the stars when a gun shot blast boomed through he forest."DADDY..uh..what was that?"Balto cried."The monsters."his father laughted."Daddy,there gunna get me!"balto cried."Don't you worry,son,I wont let anything hurt you."he smiled.Balto looked up at his father,and smiled.

A few hours passed."Daddy."balto started sleeply"I'm hungry,when is mommy comming back?"he asked."I don't know,you stay here,and I'll go look."he frowned and walked off into the darkness.Unaware that balto was following him.

He started sniffing for aniu's sent.He saw a trail of blood!He followed it as the trail got bigger and bigger.Then,he saw Aniu's dead,bloodly body,with bullet holes all throung it."Oh,no."he sniffled."daddy?"balto asked comming from behind a bush.He saw his mother,lieing there,lifless."Daddy?is mommy sleeping?"balto asked.No relpy."Daddy?"he asked again"is mommy gunna get up,and come home with us?"He winned.

The husky looked at his pup."no...Mommy is going to stay there."he sniffled."When is she gunna get up?"Balto asked.The husky looked at his pup and replyed."never."

Balto started to understand,then began to cry.He walked up to his mother and started nuzzeling her."Bye bye mommy."he cried.Then a russleing sound came from behind the trees."What was that?"balto asked.His father looked around,to see a man with a gun,walking trought the woods and leaving aniu,his kill,behind."Daddy?What was that?"balto said scared."a monster"he repled."what was the monster called?"balto asked."Human."his father said sadly.

*flash back ends*

Balto looked down at his paws and remebered the awful night."You may be his father,but your not mine!my mother was NO wolf!"Steele growled."I'll explain that now."the husky smiled

*flash back*

A few weeks later a man in a truck drove by balto,his siblings, and his father.He stopped.He was talking on a cell phone."Bill,you'll never quess what just happened,I found a male husky and a 3 pups by the side og the road..............................No,none of them have a collor.......................Well I don't see a female anywere,want me to just bring them back?......................Okay bye."the man said.He looked at the 4 dogs."Just come with me...you'll be allright."the man said with something behind his back.He got closer,then pulled a long metal pole with a wire loop on the end.from behind his back.He throught it over balto's father's neck and mashed a button that made it tight around his neck.he lifted him into the back of the truck,and into a cage,then retracted the metal pole.Then grabbed balto and his siblings by there scruff holds and tossed them in.

The truck stopped at a brightly colored builing with a copule of fences and cages out behind it.the man that caught them walked inside.The husky picked at the lock on the cage and unhoocked it.he helped the pups down first,then hopped down."HEY THOSE DOGS ARE LOOSE!" a man yelled.

they caught up with the pups and the husky and again through the pole and wire thing over the husky's neck."RUN!"he yelled to his pups as he was carried inside the building.They slipped a muzzel over his mouth and put him on a table.The humans looked him over."Good enough."one man said and picked him up.he took him outside and slipped the muzzel off of his mouth and pushed him into a cage with a black and white female dog stared at him."Whats going on?"the husky asked."Your in a breeding farm bozo!What do you think?"she snapped."And out of all those beatiful male huskys here,I got pared with YOU!"she snapped.

balto's father looked at her shocked."You SURPRISED!By now you should be use to beaitiful femal huskys!"She said whipping her tail around."No,I had a beautiful mate before she was killed,I'm surprised at your MOUTH!"he said.

eventhought they hated eachother,they still had to do what they were suposted to do,have pups.it was the female husky's 13th litter.she cared for them as much as she cared for the other litters,NOT MUCH.her first litter was different,and she loved them,but once she found out that they were all going to be sold,she lost care for all of her pups,and lost care for all of her different mates.but the last few litters suffered from it,and became mean,brutal and the only good thing,is that they became strong.

*flash back ends*

"you see."there father said."I can't belive it!Balto,the town who everyone hated...who won a race he wasn't entered in....Who upstaged me in every way...is my brother."steele growled."bot as bad as it seems...brother"balto started but the word"Brother"burned his tounge."It could be worse."Balto said.Steele looked at them."Your right...brother."

*Dream ends*

Zuko streached out his paws in the morning light and ate breakfast,then walked outside on his porch.he sat and watched the rising sun."If my dream was true..."he laughed"no...It's just some dumb dream...Or was it?"

Authors note:I've heard some wierd storys of balto and steele,but none like this.I was just thinking one day[shocking isn't it?]about how this would make a good story...so tell me,how did YOU like this story with a twist?
