Aleu's Journey part 2

"Sumac, I can't believe I listened to that white wolf."

"Aleu, its not you fault. You didn't know that we were going to end up down here. Anyways, we are with you to the end."

"Are you Balto's daughter?"

"Why do you want to know?"

"I am Aloe, Balto's older brother. I have not seen him in a long time. Please tell me where he lives."

"I would, if I could. You see, I was headed to bring to clan to the forest near Nome so I could see my parents more often. Its just that, now I'm lost."

"I'll tell you this. In 1925, when your father was bringing back the medicine for the diphteria, he came down here and the icicles started to fall because of the noise the sled made when it dropped to the ground and possibly Star's sneeze."

"Oh, so my dad came here once, so Nome is not that far away is it?!"

"Nope."

The clan and I (and Aloe) started to find our way out of the cave. At the end of the cave, I then got my bearings. After a few hours, we got sight of Nome.

"Stay here and keep hidden. I'm going to find either my mom or my dad. I will be in a little while."

"Okay Aleu."

When I walked into Nome, there was this fat dog steeling jerkey. I decidedhey, this dog could be of some help. I walked over there.

''Hey, could you tell me if Balto lives anywhere around here?"

"Huh? Oh Balto he lives on... Dusty? Why are you looking for Balto?"

"I'm not Dusty!"

"Oh come on Dusty! Don't trick me, I good at tricks."

"Look, I'm not Dusty, I'm Aleu leader of Talbourine clan."

"Your a WOLF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The fat dog ran off, with her jerkey. I thought oh well. I'll just go and find my mother. . After awhile, I found my mom's house.

"Mom!"

"What do you want? Look all I want is to be alone without any trouble. Do I make myself clear to you?"

"Yes, Jenna."

I couldn't believe it! My mom wanted nothing to do with me! I'll just have to go to my dad's boat and talk to him. Once, I was finally out there, I only saw Boris. I went over there, well more like stalked over there.

"Hey there Boris!"

"What! Your not Balto? You are..."

"Aleu. Do I need to spell it for you? A-l-e-u.  Aleu!"

"Aleu? I haven't seen you for a long time."

Oh boy. I hadn't noticed that Boris hadn't seen me since my dad was talking to me before I ran off.

"I knew there was something wrong with me!"

"There is nothing wrong with you. You have a proud heritage."

I don't remember what he exactly says but I do remember the last parts of our conversation.

"All I remember is that she was as white as snow, and had a warm voice that made me feel safe."

And then I don't really remember my exact words but, I did say that I hated him.

 

"Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you Uncle Boris."

"Aleu, its all right. Stay for awhile, until your father comes back."

"Oh alright."

Later that day, papa did show up at the boat. Boris had me hide until his cue. I smelled papa before he walked up the board.

"Hey, Boris! How's it going with Stella?

Stella? Who's Stella?

"Oh, she's fine."

Uncle Boris has a girlfriend!

"Oh Boris, Kodi is coming over tonight. So is Dingo, and Saba. If only Aleu could come over."

When I saw how my dad's head dropped down, it made my heart hurt.

"Well..."

Boris moved his wings up and down. I at first giggled, then saw that was his cue! I was about to come out when, three actually four dogs came up. I reconized the three : Kodi, Dingo and Saba. The other, I had no idea who she was.

"Hey dad. I thought maybe Dusty could join us? If its okay?"

"Of course Kodi."

Dusty? She looks like me! Oh Boris is still doing his cue, but I'm not coming out. I'm to hurt to come out.

"Boris! Stop doing that stupid wing thing!"

"Fine Balto!"

I never heard papa use that tone with Boris before! Maybe I should leave before they notice my scent.

Just as Aleu was about to leave one of the dogs said something.

"Balto, I smell a wolf."

Oh shoot!

"Dusty, are you sure its not me?'

"Balto, I know your scent. This scent is unfamiliar."

Here we go.

Just as I was about to come out again my mom walked up.

"Hey Balto. Kodi, Dingo, Saba, and Dusty hi."

"What about me, Mom?"

"Aleu!"

"Hey dad!"

"So your the reason why Boris was doing that weird wing thing."

"Yes."

And this is where is Aleu is left off here.
