Feelings on Fort StoneRidge
Part 2
The Calvary stood in General's office. Stormwing rubbed the back of his neck before he said, "We go get Snowpaws! We will not let her be in their filthy paws!" The Calvary nodded in agreement. "Coldfang you lead the Calvary!" Stormwing said gruffly. Coldfang was a big dark gray male. He was in higher position then Bruno. Coldfang saluted then beckoned the Calvary outside. The Calvary mounted on their horses and with Coldfang in the lead galloped to the territory. Bruno gritted his teeth and yelled, "Come on boys!" The Calvary hollered and raised their sabers into the air. Coldfang glared at Bruno, "I'm the one in charge Bruno!" Bruno growled. Then the sky went gray and lighting crashed. Horses reared and try to throw the riders, but the riders were experts.
"Shoot its going to rain! We have to go through the canyon." ThunderStorm Wolf growled. Bolin a hard tan male snapped, "Great!" Coldfang shook his head and silenced the 2 bickering. Bruno slowed his horse to a trot and the riders did the same. They trotted on for half an hour before entering the canyon. By then it was raining hard. Bruno wanted to go around the canyon but Coldfang said, "The faster we get SnowPaws the faster we can get out of here." Coldfang trotted his horse into the canyon and the riders followed. Bruno hung back and Wolf Ranger & ThunderStorm Wolf slowed back to ride with him. "Flashfloods in the canyon aren't good." Ranger said. Bruno looked at the great canyon wall but followed after the rest. Rain poured down the wall. "Do you hear that?" Bruno asked. His ears pricked up and he shouted, "Coldfang don't you hear that?" Coldfang snapped, "Keep your trap closed Bruno. I hear nothing!" Bruno snarled. That was it. Then Ranger said quickly, "Bruno I think a wave is coming."
The horses sensed the wave and didn't go anywhere. The riders tried to get their horses to go, but the horses resisted. "Dismount boys!" Coldfang snapped tired trying to make his horse go. The riders dismounted and instantly the horses bolted out of the canyon. Bruno dismounted and patted his horse before his horse galloped with the others. The Calvary walked in a close group and they were just about to turn a corner when the younger soldiers whimpered. Coldfang yelled, "Go back!" But it was too late. A huge wave broke around the corner and flooded the Calvary.
Bruno gasped and swam for a high shelf. Ranger and Thunder did the same and followed Bruno. The others grabbed for rocks but failed. Bruno then had his head smacked against a rock. He blacked out.

Bruno coughed and sat up. His head throbbed with pain. Wolf Ranger and ThunderStorm Wolf were drinking some coffee. The rest of the Calvary was still asleep. Bolin & SnowDrift woke up then. "Where are we?" SnowDrift asked. Bruno rubbed his head before answering, "I don't know." ThunderStorm looked out from the rock ledge then smiled as a light brown wolf came into view with a doe on his back. Bruno looked at him before he whispered to Ranger, "He seems familiar." Ranger shrugged then the wolf crawled under the ledge. "He's a rogue!" hissed Bolin. "Hey! He saved our life." Bruno snapped. Bolin glared at him before going back to sleep. The light brown wolf spoke, "I'm Zano. You're trying to find a white she-wolf aren't you?" Bruno nodded, "That's SnowPaws. She got captured by the rogues." Zano answered, "I am a rogue." Bruno stood up then. "I noticed that and can you help us?" Zano sighed then nodded before walking into the sun. "I wouldn't help but you seem familiar. What's your name?" "I'm Bruno, now can we get going after breakfast?" SnowDrift looked around the sleeping Calvary. He pawed Bruno's shoulder. "Bruno...Bruno..." Bruno looked at the young white wolf, "What is it?" "Where's ColdFang?" Bruno noticed he couldn't see the big gray. "He got up earlier and decided to go on." Zano said. Bruno rolled his eyes thinking ColdFang wanted all the glory. ThunderStorm sighed before helping Ranger wake the others to eat. After a bite to eat, the Calvary followed the rogue to the territory.

As the Calvary trotted out of the canyon, they could see the Red Shoulder's site. But as they got closer everyone was gone. Bruno gave the Calvary a look to scout around. They nodded before creeping around the teepees. Bruno and Zano stayed close to each other. After minutes of checking out the camp, they met back in the big clearing in the middle. "There's no sign of them." Tornado a black male replied. "But where did they go? And where did the women and the children go?" Bruno asked. Zano sighed and the others looked at him. "I found tracks of the pups and females heading north but the males are heading toward the town. I think they have an idea to start a battle." Bruno gasped and then he had an idea. "Zano with most of the supplies, we can catch the rest of the tribe." Zano gave him a look but Bruno didn't waste any time. He reared on his back legs and howled before breaking into a ground-eating lope with Zano and the Calvary close behind.

As they broke over a hill, they could see the females and the pups. Zano howled before leading them to the front. The rogues stopped and the adults rose their hackles and growled. As ThunderStorm passed one of the females, she lunged at him but he was able to dodge the on coming attack. The adults circled the young ones in the middle. "Zano what in the world are you doing with them?" A light-built tan female asked. She was an old coywolf. Her muzzle was white with age but her voice was strong. "Why did the males head to town?" Zano asked. But she wasn't listening, she was looking at Bruno. "He looks almost just like you. Zano he is your brother."
Bruno's & Zano's bottom jaw dropped. The rest of the Calvary was taken back. Bruno didn't know he had a brother and Zano didn't know either. "They went to start a battle. Chief Blooddrinker knew you had a brother but he didn't know he was in the Calvary. He took that white female with him. He wanted to give your kind a lesson about the sacred laws of the Old Wise One. " Bruno growled deeply before he turned back toward the town. "What are you doing?" Wolf Ranger asked. "To stop a battle. You know we haven't got all day." Bruno replied and Ranger chuckled.

"General! The Rogues are coming!" a scout shouted as he ran into the office. General Stormwing tore his head away from the files. "What? Get everybody ready! Get the females and pups into the fort!" he bellowed. The scout saluted before rushing back outside. The general got up from his desk. He knew he was angry with the rogues but they never attacked twice in a month. There had to be a reason he thought as he strapped on his saber. He trotted out of his office while the officers ran back and forth readying for battle. He could see the rogues standing on the slight hill. He sighed before he coughed from all the dust that the soldiers had risen up. He turned to the left toward a table where the high officers were planning out a battle plan.
Meanwhile, Bruno, Zano and the Calvary ran hard toward Glorystone. Bruno hoped they would get there in time before the battle. The wind blasted past the pure breeds and the mixes as they charged through the tall grass of the plains. Then Bolin having the best eyesight yelled, "There's the rogues up ahead!" But the rogues started to move in on the town and fort. "No!" Zano yelled before putting on a burst of speed. Bruno followed his brother willing to give whatever cost to stop it. "Another battle was unneeded." Bruno thought. The Calvary with Bruno and Zano in the lead, ran in a triangle pattern. As they got closer to the rogues they started to separate in 2 groups. One group swooped around the left while the other group took to the right. The Red Shoulder Rogues growled and snarled as they ran past but surprise they didn't attack. "General the Calvary's back!" Kodiwolf yelled. Stormwing smiled before he gasps. There between Glorystone and the rogues stood the Calvary. They just stood there staring at the standing rogues. "Why don't they attack!?" Stormwing thought hard. He thought hard again.
Bruno, who has never seen the chief, could feel himself tremble. Chief Blooddrinker was a massive black wolf. His eyes gleamed with hatred but under all that he could see wisdom and kindness for his tribe. His paws were so big it seemed he could crush someone with his bare paws. He had many scars all over him from other battles. Blooddrinker held his head up high with pride. His lip drew back in a growl and showed a sharp white fang. Bruno shook his fear off and approached him with Zano at his side. The chief's Appaloosa snorted and pawed the ground. It seemed eager for battle as it swung its head around with a savage air. "Get out of the way Calvary!" Chief Blooddrinker roared. "No. We have come to make a peace offer." Bruno said. The chief chuckled before breaking out in a laugh with the others close behind in their own laugh. Bruno snarled loudly to get their attention. They stopped waiting to see what he would say. Meanwhile the other soldiers of Glorystone waited to see what Staff Sergeant Bruno was up to. Chief Blooddrinker growled, "We're tired of your kind destroying our land and our people. We wish for you to stop." Bruno nodded before replying, "After all the years of battle, we to are tired of all the livestock stealing and town burning. I say we end it with peace." The chief sized his words up before he replied, "If I agree we stop the fighting you won't bother us?" Bruno nodded before he put his paw out to shake in agreement. Chief Blooddrinker dismounted from his horse and shook Bruno's paw. "Also we would like you to be our ally in upcoming battles from others who want to steal our land." Chief smiled as Bruno said, "I guess we could be allies." The Red Shoulder Rogues and the Calvary raised their head to howl in celebration. Stormwing realized something good happened raised his head to howl. The other
