Dingo yawned and stretched in the afternoon sunlight. He and his siblings, Aleu, Saba, and Kodi were napping on their porch. Dingo was the first to get up. He always was. He carefully stepped over Saba and Aleu who were sprauled on their backs. Kodi was falling down the stairs, not knowing that he was. He was a deep sleeper. Dingo made his way to the front door. He scratched to be let in. Then he remembered that Rosy was in school. She was 9 years old now. Dingo howled, waking up Kodi, Aleu, and Saba. It was a mournful howl. Aleu got up and screamed, "Ahh! Help us! Help us! Someone's dying!" She ran around the deck screaming. Kodi stuck out his paw. He tripped Aleu, who went flying down the small flight of stairs. Kodi laughed. "Kodi! That's not funny!" She ran up the stairs attacking Kodi.

Dingo thought, How come we all have to suffer when Rosy goes to school and her parents go to work? Then he said to himself, "I am not taking this any longer. I don't want to be cooped up on the front porch any more!" He screamed then headbutted the gate. It shattered, sending boards flying in all direcions. "Dingo!" Kodi screamed. "What did you do that for!?" Dingo looked at him. He laughed then said, "I hate this. I hate being stuck here all day. I want adventure!" Dingo cried. "Dingo! You'd better not leave or I will tell mama and dadda!" Saba cried. Dingo thought about it. "Oh well." He said. Then he took off! He jumped off the porch, landing in the soft snow that covered the ground. He ran off into the horizon.

Saba shook her head. "That pup worries me." Kodi bumped her. She looked at him. She shook her head, "You have problems." She looked at Kodi who was laughing uncontrolably on the front porch. Then she and Aleu lay back down, Saba's head, resting on Aleu's back. She stared off into the distance, wondering what kind of mischeif Dingo will get himself into. Kodi's laughter died down, letting Saba closed her eyes.

Later, in the town, Dingo was searching everywhere for something fun to do. Then he saw the most beautiful pup he ever met. She was black with the slightest bit of white on the tips of her ears and paws. She had blue eyes and a pink collar around her neck. A golden bow was perched on the back of her collar. Dingo stared at her, lovestruck. But when he saw who she was with, he cried out in shock. He realized that the pup belonged to Steele! Steele was Dingo's family's worst enemy. He knew that his parents would never let him ask out the pup. But he went over for her name anyway.

"Hi. My name's Dingo. I was wonderin' what yours was." Dingo asked the girl. She turned to him and smiled pleasntly. "My name's Kershie." Dingo sighed. She had a kind face and by the tone of her voice, he knew she was a girl of her heart. Dingo smiled and was about to say, "I don't know if you know my family but, your dad is my mom and dad's worst enemy." but he kept it in. Kershie smiled again and said, "You look familier." She seemed to study his face for a moment before she said, "I know! You are Kodi's brother." Dingo looked at her and asked, "How do you know Kodi?" Kershie answered him, "Oh. We have been going out for a while now. He didn't tell you? Oh well. I gotta go. Bye Dingo. Nice meeting you!" Then she scampered off.

Dingo couldn't tell what just happened. But he new that Kershie had turned him down before he even had a chance to ask her out! He stormed home, angry at his brother.

When he got there, he saw his mother and father standing on the porch. "Dingo!" They screamed angrily. "You get your ass right here now!" Dingo new he was in trouble. His ears fell down and he crawled up the stairs. He sat in front of his mother. "Dingo? How could you? I thought I told you guys to stay here!" Jenna screamed. Balto glared at his son. "Dingo? We are waiting." Balto said. Dingo finally spoke up, "It is just that I hate being cooped up here all day waiting for everyone to return. It is so boring. I wanted to have some fun." Dingo explained. Jenna decided if she should let him go without a punishment, or give him a punishment. She chose punishment. "As your punishment, you will stay outside for a week without the shelter of our home." Then she gave Dingo a slight tap on the nose, and walked into the house.

Dingo stared after them then remembered that Kodi had some explaining to do. Kodi was just about to go inside when Dingo grabbed him. He jumped on top of him. "Kodi!" He screamed. "What?" Kodi asked, he hoped that Dingo didn't learn his secret. "I met the most sexiest girl in the world to find out that you were dating her! Damn it Kodi." Dingo screamed. Kodi looked around to see that his sisters were inside. "I can explain. Dingo really I can. I met her and we just sort of talked. And then we were in the boiler room. I know we are just pups. Almost old enough to actually have puppies, but now Kershie is expecting puppies and I didn't want to tell you because I knew you'd be mad and I was right. I am really sorry Dingo." Kodi said.

"You mean you are telling me that you......had......it...???" Dingo screamed. Kodi nodded. His eyes wide with fright. Dingo growled. "I hate my life. My life is horrible. Why don't I just die? First I try to go have some fun then I get in trouble with mom, then I find out that the girl of my dreams was dating my brother and that they.......had it and that they are expecting puppies!" Before Kodi could say anything, Dingo jumped off of him and ran off the deck and into the woods.

Dingo was sitting alone on the edge of the cliff. Not really thinking about anything, when the cliff crumbled. Before Dingo knew it, he was falling down into a stony death. "Help!" He cried. But nodoby heard him and he fell down the edge of the cliff.

It had been several weeks since the death of Dingo. His family was devastated. Kodi and Kershie had their pups. 5 beautiful huskies. Aleu had joined the wolf clan and Saba had been adopted. Jenna and Balto still lived with Rosy. And they alway thought about Dingo.
