Kodi ran up to Balto and jumped on him wagging his tail.

"Whoa! Kodi, what are you doing!" asked Balto.

" Dad the bestest sled dog in the world is coming, well besides you!" said Kodi getting off his father.

" Wow that is cool, when are they coming?" asked balto.

"They are coming tonight and we were wondering if you would like to have a party at your house for them, like a welcome party?" asked kodi.

" Did you and the mail team come up with this?" asked Balto.

"no, everyone in the sled racing and stuff like that did," explained Kodi," come on,'' said kodi running to the boier room.

When they got there the place was almost full of dogs.

"So did he say yes?" asked Kirby.

" Yes, I say yes, but nobody go onto my boat and go to the bathroom," said Balto looking at Ralph.

"What I had to go and I didn't want to go infron' of you guys," blushed Ralph.

"Whatever," said balto.

Every one got every thing ready at Balto's boat, they had cake, party hats, tables, seats, telescopes, and a lot of food, they also had everyone.............

"Hey, Kodi, who's getting them?" asked Balto.

"We were planing you would get them, since you are the big hero of nome?" said Kodi.

"Ok, see you later, and get your mother please," said Balto going to the mail station.

He waited there and then he saw a big group of huskies coming forward.

"Hi," said balto to the head dog.

"Hi wolf/dog," growled a brown Alaskan Klee Kai with black dots all over him..

"Cookie, shut up," growled the lead dog, " Yes, what would you want?"

"Um, oh ya , all the dogs in nome are throwing you guys a welcome party, would you guys like to come?" asked Balto.

"No we wouldn't wolf/dog," growled a cream and white husky.

"Flower stop it, so what if he's a wolf/dog, sure we would like to come," said the lead dog, we would like to interdose are selfs.

The Cream and white Husky with green eyes and she was named Flower.

Next is the Brown and Black dotted Alaskan Klee Kai was named Cookie and he had brown eyes.

There was a Black and cream Malumute and his name was Jester, he also had brown eyes.

A Tan and Cream Husky was named Cheto, and he had blue eyes.

Kiwi was a brown and white Alaskan dog with Green eyes.

Melody was a White husky with brown and black patches and she had golden brown eyes.

And last is the lead dog that was Dark brown and had black ears and was Cream on the bottom, he had brown eyes. His name was Kade.

"Well its at my boat come on," said Balto.

When they got there every one welcomed them just like they lived in the town or they were friends for a long time.

After the party everyone said goodbye to Kade and his team, Balto went on his boat to have a good night sleep until he heard foot steps on the deck.

"Hello? balto?"

Balto stood up and saw Kade standing at the door.

"Hi Kade, What are you doing here?" asked Balto.

"Just saying good bye to you. Thanks for haveing this party for us," smiled Kade.

"Don't thank me thank my son, Kodi" Laughed Balto.

"Oh, and by the way sorry how my team acted to you, they don't really like wolves," apoligized Kade.

"Don't worry, but why did you stick up to me, I mean your a pure breed Siberian husky," said Balto.

"Ya I am, but let me ask you something, who was your father i mean was he a wolf or a dog?" asked Kade.

"He was a dog why?" asked Balto.

" Well your father didn't hate wolves, so why should I, wolf and dogs aren't that different, ones wild and ones tamed, well bye," said Kade.

"Bye," said Balto.

Balto went to bed and thought about what kade had said to him, He seemed so familiar to me, I wonder why? thought Balto.

When Balto woke up he went to Jenna's.

"Jenna?" asked Balto.

"What Balto?" asked a sleepy Jenna.  

"Can I come in?" asked Balto,

"Sure," said Jenna.

Balto went in and  said," Hey Jenna you have books right?"

"Yeah," laughed Jenna.

" Do u have any on Kade?" asked Balto.

" I think so? Come on," said Jenna leading the way to the den.

Balto looked at all the books and saw one about Kade and his team.

He grabbed the book and opened it to chapter five. The title was Lost in a howling Storm. He read it and learned that he and his team got lost in 1924 in January. That was about when he was born, in July. He kept on reading and read one line that caught his eyes,When they found his team Kade was no where in sight. 

He only new that is father wasn't around much. The only time he saw his father was when he brought food to his mother and siblings. Balto new that he was gentle and nice.

Balto thought for a while, Could Kade be my father? Thought Balto.

"Balto are you ok?" asked Jenna.

"Uh, oh ya I was just thinking," said Balto.

" Balto it's like you seem interested in Kade, do you now him at all?" asked Jenna.

" No, i think. He was lost in 1924 in January, and they were found almost at the begining of 1925, which is when I saved the kids. And I was born when he was gone and the only way I could've gottin brown was from a brown husky," said Balto.

" Hold on there cowboy, are you saying that you think he is your father?" asked Jenna.

" Ya, I think so." said Balto.

"Then go talk to him," smiled Jenna.

"Your right, I'll go talk to him later, bye and thanks Jenna," said Balto leaving.

Balto ran into Kodi, just the guy he was looking for.

"Kodi, you and Kade's team are meating eachother near the forest, right?" asked Balto.

"Ya dad, why?" said Kodi.

"I was wondering if you would ask him to meet me at the edge of the forest tonight?" asked Balto.

"Sure, but why," asked Kodi.

"You will figure that out tomarrow, ok," said Balto going to his boat to eat.

"Vere have youv been Balto?" asked Boris.

"Jenna's, asked Kodi something, eat, and now going to see Palo and Belle, I'll be back," explained Balto leaving to go to the Attack Pack.

Balto ran in the forest for about 12 minutes.

"Who goes there?" growled a wolf.

Balto heard that voice. It was the leader of Attack Pack.

"I Tach, it's me Balto," said Balto.

"Oh, Hi lets go to the pack, I declared Palo as the new leader yesterday," said Tach while Balto fallowed him.

When they got to the pack Balto reckonized Palo sleeping in the sun, "Tach can you get Belle," asked Balto.

Balto sneaked up on Palo and jumped on his back.

"WHOE! Balto, what are you doing here," asked Palo while Belle came up.

" You said that the den you guys sleep in was mothers, right?" asked Balto.

"Ya why," asked Belle.

" I have a friend that I want to bring here is that ok with you Palo?" asked Balto.

"Ya  and I guess Tach told you I'm the new leader, and he is a elder now," said Palo proudly.

"Well thanks, i'm going to meet with him in a few, so meet me at the base of the teriory.

Balto ran down a hill and waited at the spot he said to meet him. Soon Balto saw Kade coming towards him.

"So you wanted to meet me, Balto," asked Kade.

"Ya. I was wondering since you liked me so much that you would like to meet my siblings,they live in a wolf pack about 20 minutes away from here, if that ok with you?" asked Balto.

"Ya that would be great." smiled kade.

They went for about five minutes without talking until Balto broke the silence.

"So, Kade why weren't you found with the sled team when you guys got lost?" asked Balto.

"Well, no has ever asked me that question, why do you want..... Uh, Balto I don't think we should be here," said Kade looking around.

Balto looked into his eyes and saw fear, and sadness.

" It's ok Kade, my brother is the leader, and there going to meet us at the border, ah there they are.

Kade looked up and saw a Brown and Grey male wolf and a Black and cream female wolf standing at the border.

"kade meet my brother and sister, Palo and Belle," smiled Balto.

"Hi, I am the leader of the Attack Pack. I hope you feel welcomed," smiled Palo.

" Come this way, we will show you the way to are camp groubd.

" Balto this is nice and stuff but..."

"Kade, it's ok nobody will hurt us, I prmise," sighed Balto.

When they got to the pack Balto said, " Kade I now why you are nervous around this pack."

"You do?" asked Kade.

"Well, I think I do. You see this is my mothers pack, and she is the white wolf, named Aniu, and you are her mate, or other wise my father," explained Balto.

Kade was shocked by all of that, " I'm not afriad of that i'm just afriad what your mother is going to do to me and all, she seemed upset that I was found and never said goodbye," frowned Kade.

" Dad, you won't have to worry about her, she died, after you left," frowned Palo.

Kade looked up, " No!"

"I'm sorry, but she did it for Palo and I," said Belle.

"Why not for Balto?" asked a confused Kade.

"There was this storm and we got seperated, but a goose found me and took care of me," said Balto.

Kade stopped frowning and smiled, " I may be sad that your mother died, but I am glad I found my kids!"

Balto and Kade went home and Balto told the story of his life and that he had two litter's of grand kids.

Dingo,Saba,Kodi ,Alue,Zach,Dice,Maki,Miley,Teto,and Anne.

Kade told everyone that he had a wolf-dog son and everyone was shocked but exepted him no matter what.
