thing for him to be taken away? Cinder cried to himself it wasn’t fair everyone was lying. “Is everyone crazy?”
Boris walked around town, to fly was half annoying he learned to walk more then flight because of Balto, a huge habit. He made because of that Balto.
“Oy where could he be?” Boris said to himself. Took some steps around, “Now where did Jenna live?” He asked himself thinking. “Oy.” He hit his head with his wing, “if you want something done do it yourself!” He recalled the saying.
Cinder finally got to himself, and sighed, for the first time he saw what the wolf meant in blood ‘this’ it would never stop. He felt apart of him hate his father for it, and his mother for some reason. He promised himself the show the wolf parts were best to show that they aren’t weaker or mad like wild animal.
Boris landed next to Jenna, “Ha…” He took a huge breath to recover from flying; even he had to admit he was kind of like a turkey. “Oy, I’m looking for someone, can you guess?” He said in his Russian way of talking.
“Looking for whom?” Balto asked his head tilted right next to Boris’s head.
“VA!” Boris yelled as tripped and fell into the snow. Balto itched his ear at it. Boris got out of his body impression in the snow, “You said forest! Not town!” He said slightly mad.
“Hmm changed my mind, on my boat you should have seen it, or is ya age killing your vision now Boris?” Balto said still itching his ear till he stopped.
“But that was…and you didn’t come…back.” He slowly said.
Balto shrugged, “Sorry. Just got caught up in some fun that all Boris, besides I remember you saying ‘I hate going into town.’”
He pointed a feathery figure at him, “‘Aw what’s the worst that could happen?’ ah, DEATH!”
Balto smiled, “Good dog.” He finished with a shy grin patting Boris’s head like an owner to a dog.
Boris twitched his eye, “Only if your feet where as fast as your mouth…” Balto and Jenna laughed.
Jenna slowly stopped laughing, “So how are the little guys Muk and Luk?” Jenna asked Boris.
“There getting bigger…o so bigger…” Boris moaned in depression. Balto and Jenna restrained their laughter.
He made himself not laugh anymore, “Well I’ll help as far can Boris.” He spoke with a smile.
“Alvight.” Boris said calmly, with a sigh. He didn’t really like the offer for help.
“What’s wrong Boris?” Jenna asked Boris, Boris sighed.
“I finally think my age is starting to get to me. Oy.” Boris grumbled softly. “Well bye you too.” Boris grunted then flew off; he was kind hard for him to lift himself, a bit on the heavy side.
He had noticed Balto still hangout in town he and hadn’t returned back to the boat. Boris started to think Balto was starting to finally to try getting himself an owner. Another four days later he was still over at town. “I guess he finally settled down.” He said with a smile, “But…” Boris half doubted his own words. Balto told him once, ‘I’d hate being collared.’ “Collared…tamed.” To Balto being collared would be terrible, Balto often wondered, he loved to wonder freely when he wanted to. To howl to the moon, being half wolf and all. Boris and Balto would know he’d give up everything he did for as Balto put it, “Being owned.” Boris knew Balto hated that word, he liked everyone being free, but Balto knew being a town with dogs and people, this was impossible.
Balto had slept next to each other that night like the others. Jenna was sleeping still, but Balto was shivering as if he was cold. Boris noticed when ‘this’ happened he’d eventually shot up wake with a terrified face on him, but Boris wasn’t there.
He shot up with a depressed face. “What kind of nightmare was that?” Balto asked himself. The nightmare made no sense at all. “My marks…what? The marks I left…to get home…” He let himself go down and fall back asleep.
He had awaked early morning; he carefully left to not wake Jenna. He went out and about and was walking around town; he had ended up looking at the town though his boat at the outskirts of the town, by the end of the day Balto stared out at the town.
He felt sad, and alone as looked at it I’m I alone? He felt a sudden nudge under his chin, he turned Jenna was standing next to him. He smiled, “Hey Jenna.” He turned his gaze back to looking at the town.
“Hasn’t gotten much bigger has it?” Jenna half laughed, as she looked at herself.
No. I’m not alone I have Jenna. He looked up as it started to snow. “It’s snowing again.”
Jenna leaned on him resting her head on his shoulder. “Yeah it always snows here, it peaceful like this though, no blizzard.” She sounded half tired.
Balto smiled, “Yeah.” He said softly. He glanced over at Jenna resting her head on his shoulder. “There’s a race tomorrow isn’t there…” Balto said dreadfully. “I haven’t gone to the last two, I have to race this one, pressure on it too…” because Steele is in it. Jenna silence answered him. Balto felt sad again, “you have to leave again don’t you?”
She rested more of her weight on him. There was a long pause neither of them said anything. Jenna finally slightly smiled, putting her head under his chin.
He never let a frown stay long with a smiled he asked, “Well you tired or something?”
She shook her head, “No, wide awake, more then you.”
He shook his head with a laugh, “No I don’t think more then me, I’m used to staying up, and getting up early.”
She frowned, “Your saying that first off, your more wake then me and get up earlier, I don’t think so, I’ve slept next to you, you don’t wake any earlier then I do.”
He turned to her making a face saying he didn’t believe that. “Really?”
She shook her head, with a half frown, “I know you better then anyone else, that’s a fact.”
He jumped on edge of his boat walking on it, doing his ‘balancing act’ “You never know, I might I have secret lives too, like how you five.” He simply put with a shrug.
“I DON”T have five. JUST one!” Jenna shot back, “I never have.” She started to get somewhat angry with him.
He chuckled with her reaction, “I have a bad sense of humor don’t I?”
She was about to say something but she laughed instead.
“Most of the time.” Jenna added giggling to herself, “Most of the time.”
“What?! ‘Most of the time?’ I can make a laugh.” Balto shook his head, “I can make joke every now and then.”
“Yeah…but only you get it.” She reminded him with a monotone voice.
He shook his head back and forth as if he was mocking her he made his way to the plank of the boat. “Well only smart ones get it.”
She slightly followed, with a scorned look, “Your saying I’m dumb or something?”
He turned his head back to look at her he was half way down the wooden plank off his boat. “uh…maybe…” He stated nervously. He smiled as he felt the plank move, He ran off it; to the snow so he could hear her, “We’ll I’ll show you!”
He was ahead just by few feet, “Oh, your gaining, how will I ever escape?” He said much like a bad actor. He put his paws in front of himself to as a brake. Jenna not really being right behind him ran ahead.
She turned around, “Why you little.” Balto laughed. And gave her a solute with his paw and ran off again. He started to slightly run in the water on the beach.
He had stopped Jenna was gaining; when she got close enough He splashed water on her. She darted away, “That’s cold!”
He laughed, “What ever you say.” Jenna kept her distance away from him, in case he’d do it again.
She was wet more wet then a single splash should be, “How’d he you get me so wet?” She asked slightly shivering.
He left the beach water onto the snow, and sat down. He lifted his right paw and tapped on snow, making some imprints, “Big paws.” He padded his chest with his paw and put it back down. “Balto one, Jenna, zero”
“Oh I see. Mr. Big paw.” Jenna started to run at him again. Balto started running away again, “You always run?” She asked.
He turned his head with a mock smile, “Hmm, who’s running? I’m not just walking.” He mentioned with a wink.
She shook her head at it, but suddenly she fell down over one of her paws, and she made a slight yelp. Balto immediately stopped with a slight gasp. He folded his ears back and ran over to her. “Jenna you alright? Sorry I should have started running like that.”
Jenna was looking at her paw worried He started to blame himself for it. He took a closer look at it. Jenna smiled with victory and tackled Balto to his side. “I know you would fall for that like that, I told you before I know how to lie to you playfully.” She said with a smile, “Balto one, Jenna one.”
He was slightly shocked even after he heard it. Be the next lassie would you? “Ah, you got me.” He was slightly confused about the whole thing. “Well you recovered fast. Well…one to one, and you caught me, game over…”
He noticed she was shivering, He got and laid on top of her, “Well now who’s warm one now?” He mockingly put with a smile.
She smiled and shook her head at the question, “Well I wasn’t the idiot who fell though the ice.”
“Idiot?” He repeated, “How was I to escape the ice cracked all around me, how was I supposed to escape?”
“Well, I guess only smart ones know.” She laughed a little. Balto rolled his eyes at it, if I would argue one it was freezing water and bear you try to do better my dear.
He sighed softly as he looked up at the sky, Jenna noticed depression in it, “What’s wrong?”
He evaded her eyes, “It’s late you should go back now, they’ll worry. You have to leave
