It was the most beautiful thing that Jenna saw. The sunset was wonderful. "What is a beautiful girl like you sitting out here all alone?" A voice asked Jenna. She slowly turned her head and saw the husky she grew up with. "Is it really you!?!?" She cried. She jumped up from her spot on the cliff. Right when she started to bound over to the pure black husky, a part off the cliff fell down, dragging Jenna with it. Jenna heard the crumbling of the rock and she screamed for help. "OH! HELP!" Her terrified voice meant buisness.

The husky's green eye, saw the fear in Jenna's eyes and jumped at her. He caught her bandana and pulled her up. Jenna panted heavily, her chest heaving. "You saved me. Thank you Kikino." Thunder clapped loudly as Jenna closed her eyes in pain connected to the blood that flowed steadily from the cut on her back paw.

The next morning, Jenna awoke with a start. She looked at her foot and it was tightly wrapped in stretchy bandages. She got up and dragged her sleepy body to the kitchen were she ate breakfast with her family. "huh?" She asked herself. Jenna didn't believe what she saw. Nobody was in the kitchen. Infact, nobody was in the house. Jenna looked outside. What she saw, frightened her. She thought that she must have slept very deeply if she was un able to hear all the damage that she saw outside. Nome was completly ruined. Lightposts had fallen over, crashing onto houses. Trees had crushed everything in their pathes and everything was broken. It looked as if Jenna's house was the only thing left standing.

Jenna limped outside and explored. "Jenna, Jenna," Dixxie cried in her shrill voice. "The town, Nome, it was destroyed. Not only that but there is this black husky standing over by the hospital. He keeps shouting, 'Does anyone know where Jenna is?' And nobody said anything but you gotta check it out!" Dixxie freaked out. Jenna made her calm down. "Where? Where did you say the black dog was?" Jenna asked, excitedly. "He is over by the hospital that's where. Why do you want to know?" Dixxie replied, filled with curiosity about her best friend. Jenna ignored her and ran as fast as she could with her hurt leg to the hospital.

"Jenna? Are you here?" The black dog asked. He looked around everywhere. "I am right here." Jenna whispered. The dog slowly turned around. They smiled at eachother. Jenna took a step towards him. Then he suddenly turned around. I feel insulted. Jenna thought. Then the dog turned back around and he surprised Jenna with something. "Jenna. All these years. How we have been best friends, well I have always loved you. I always thought that you were the prettiest dog I have ever met. And all our friendship nuzzles, I have always hoped that one day, they will change to be actual real nuzzles. I have this because I love you and I finally have built up enough guts to finally come out and say it."

Jenna was quiet for a while. Finally she jumped at the dog and took the red, red rose from him. "I love you too Kikino." She nuzzled him. He looked at her, uncertain. "This ain't a friendship nuzzle. It is a real nuzzle. A love nuzzle." Jenna whispered in his ear.

Right after Jenna and Kikino finished nuzzling, a gray/white dog came up. "Balto." Jenna whispered under her breath. She didn't think that her boyfriend would come back for a long time. But he was clear as day infront of Jenna and Kikino. "Hey Jenna. Who's your friend?" He asked nosily. Jenna didn't say anything for the first few minutes. Then Kikino asked in a frusterated voice, "Who is THIS Jenna?" Both dogs were waiting for a reply when Jenna finally answered, "Kikino. Meet Balto. He was my boyfriend. But when I realized how much you meant to me, I decided to go with you. Balto. I am so so so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you..." Jenna couldn't finish. Kikino smiled and then he and Jenna did another love nuzzle.

Balto looked at Jenna and finally said, "Well I can't make you dump Kikino. I know how much he means to you from just looking at you guys together. No need to be sorry. I just really loved you Jenna." Jenna felt so sorry. "Balto. I..." Balto wouldn't let Jenna continue. Kikino touched Jenna's nose lightly to remind her that he was still there. Jenna went away from him and nuzzled Balto. "Jenna. Stop. I am no longer your boyfriend." With that response, Balto walked away, leaving Jenna alone with Kikino.

Balto looked back at Jenna and Kikino, who was affectionatly nuzzling him. A lonely tear rolled down the side of his face.
