Chapter 1

"Good night, Balto. I love you." Said Jenna in her beautiful, soft voice. "Good night, Jenna. I love you too." Balto responded. They nuzzled each other and Jenna pulled a blanket over Balto to tuck him in.

It was a new, soft, warm blanket that Rosy's parents got for Balto. Along with a new water bowl that Rosy would refill everyday, and food bowl that she'd refill when she refilled the water bowl. Jenna and her humans felt that they really owed a lot to Balto for saving Rosy from that epidemic a few years ago.

Anyway, Jenna tucked Balto into bed and then left the boat to go back to her home. Balto started drifting off to sleep. But before she jumped off the boat, Jenna heard a grunting sound. She looked around...... but there was no one there. She heard it again, she sniffed, and listened, but there was nobody there. She looked in the room where Balto was sleeping, which was where the noise was coming from, and she went to investigate. She looked and saw Balto grunting and twisting and turning and he looks as if he is having a horrible nightmare in his sleep. She looked at him with worried eyes wondering what he was dreaming of.

"Jenna, why are you doing this?" Asked Balto, "Don't you love me?" He was hurt and confused for Jenna was leaving him for another dog. "Not anymore, Balto," Jenna responded, "I love Tony, now." Tony was a pure-bred husky with an eye for Jenna. Jenna decided to leave Balto without any love or care. "She is with me, now, lobo." Sneered Tony. He was a great looking dog, but Balto somehow knew that he wouldn't really be good to Jenna all he wanted was her beauty, not her heart.  Tony had a heart of steel. In fact, he was actually Steele's son from his first litter. Balto watched as Jenna walked away with Tony walking next to her and her tail sticking up as a sign saying, "I want nothing to do with you." As she left Balto all alone. As Balto watched, a group of dogs attacked Balto from all around. They tore him up as he tried to fight them off.

"Balto!" Cried Jenna, "Balto, wake up. Wake up, Balto, wake up." Jenna tried to wake him up as he twisted and turned and moved around violently. Finally, Balto woke up. He saw Jenna sitting there, in front of him, with a worried look in her face. "Jenna, what are you doing here?" Balto asked, "I thought you were going home." He didn't have a clue how she could have heard him. "Balto, are you okay?" She inquired, "I heard you grunting and whimpering before I got off the boat. What's wrong?" "Just a bad dream." Balto sighed with unease. Jenna gave him a kiss for comfort and then he drifted off, again. And she left, again.

Jenna got into her bed and thought about Balto, worried if he was having a dream that meant something important as it did last time with Alue.

Chapter 2

Balto fell asleep with a small recap of the last dream and continued on. In the continuation, Balto was fighting the other dogs as Jenna was leaving with Tony. Everytime Balto got one dog off of him, another dog jumped on him from behind or beside. He was fighting this endless battle until he finally heard Boris yelling as loud as he could.

Balto wke up to see Boris looking at him with his fists on his hips. "Another nightmare, Boichick!" He exclaimed. "Yeah, I guess." Balto confessed, "I don't understand dreams. Do you?" He looked up at Boris with hope that he might have some understanding. "Yes... my dreams." Boris answered. "Very funny, Boris." Balto replied. Balto yawned and stretched himself and then went to check on Jenna to see what she was doing.

He walked to Jenna's house and climbed up to the window. Balto saw her asleep and sighed with relief. He climbed down and walked to the mountains to watch the sunrise. Just as the sun started to peak over the mountains, Jenna came and sat next to Balto to watch it with him. "Jenna, is there something you are not telling me?" Balto questioned. Jenna looked at him wondering if the dream was about her. "No," She answered, "Why?" Balto hesitated for a moment, then responded, "Because... it's nothing, really. I am just thinking." He quickly cut off. "Balto," Jenna began, "can you tell me what your nightmare was about?" "I..." Balto uttered, "uh... no... I'm sorry... but I... I don't want to talk about it... at least not now." Jenna looked at Balto for a moment and then looked back at the sun. That was the end of that conversation. They just sat there and watched the sunrise.

"I think I see Kodi and the rest of the mail team." Jenna spotted a sled team coming with what appeared to be the mail. "Yeah, and he's in the lead! I am very proud of him." Balto responded. He had that proud-father look in his eyes, and Jenna could see it without having to look at him. Balto and Jenna went down to greet Kodi and congradulate him on being the lead dog.

After the nice little family reunion, Balto went back to his boat to get some sleep.

Chapter 3

Balto got into his bed and quickly fell asleep. It seemed as if the room was spinning as it changed from being a room to being the forest where the fight was taking place. "Jenn!" Cried Balto, "help! Help me!" The dogs kept tackling him as he stuggled with them. Balto  finally got them all off him and he darted off for safety as the other dogs chased him. He kept running and running. Until he woke up.

"I got to get to the bottom of this." Balto exclaimed. He got out of bed and ran to Jenna's house. He got to her house and climbed up to her window where she slept with Rosy as she pat Jenna. "Balto, how did you get up here?" Rosy asked. Jenna woke up and saw Balto. "What are doing here? Is everything alright?" Jenna asked in a worried voice. "Actually," Balto began, "no. I have been having these nightmares lately." Jenna arose to her paws as soon as she heard the word "nightmare". "Nightmares?" She responded. Balto explained his nightmare to her. "Balto, I would never leave you. I love you. I always have and I always will." Jenna comforted.

After a few hours of talking, Balto felt better about it and he went home to have a good night sleep. it turned out that the dreams came because Jenna was pregnent with her second litter and Balto was very worried about her well-being. She was very pregnent. And Kineina Hara, she was very healthy and expecting Emertz Hashem, four healthy puppies.
