A Brother’s story: Staring At Love

It is night, and for the first time, Randy can be with his family (just for that night). Not to far from his packs’ cave. The cave that the Isleys live in is a lot bigger. It is warmer then it was the other night, but still cold. And Randy was getting ready for the “date”.

“Is this lady that special to you, or is she just a friend?” Randy’s brother, O’Kelly asked. He is the oldest out of the brothers. There are five (oldest to youngest); O’Kelly, Rudolph, Randy, Ernie, and Marvin. “No Kelly, she’s just a friend…..so shut-up.” Randy replied while rubbing the fur on his leg with his small paws. O’Kelly shook his head, and went to sit down by Rudolph. Randy was playing, but O’Kelly’s in a not so good mood.

Randy and his brothers like to sing with each other, and while Marvin, Ernie and Chris Jasper (a friend of theirs) play the instruments (yes these wolves can play instruments!!). Randy does the lead singing with his very unique voice. These wolves were obviously gifted with their talent. And it’s odd that they all are black with gray markings.

“Is that one girl ganna come here? And when is she ganna get here?” Ernie asked with a smile on his face. Then Randy looked up at him, and said, “No Stupid, I’m gonna meet her in town! Don’t ask stupid questions, stupid!” Randy had a dirty look on his face, and was annoyed. Their parents were out, and he likes having his parents around. Then Randy got up from lying down, walked out the cave and said “bye” then left. The brothers were a little confused by Randy’s bad attitude.

Dimond was sitting by an old shed, waiting for Randy. She looked up into the sky, and saw darkness, with firefly like stars, and a glowing, cream colored crescent. Her eyes twinkled as she stared. Then she looked ahead of her, and saw glowing eyes. She was a little scared at first, but then as the eyes got closer, she saw that it was Randy.

“Hey Dimond! How are you? Did you have to wait long?” Randy was excited to see Dimond, and was smiling. Then she replied. “Oh I’m just fine Randy! And I didn’t wait long.”

“Ok, good. Well, I know a good place that we can eat at. Follow me.”

“That sounds great Randy! I can’t wait to get there!”

Randy started to walk, and Dimond was right to the side of him. They were talking to each other while on their way, and things were looking good. Though, they had to cross through the neighborhood without waking any human up. Then they went through an ally, and they were finally there.

“Here it is!” Randy said with a smile on his face. It was a restaurant, but the table (it is really half a barrel set up to be a table, with a table cloth on it), and it was outside, in the back of the building. A husky was standing by the table, knowing that Randy will arrive with a “friend”. When Randy and Dimond got to the table, the husky said, “’Bout time you came” then Randy gave the husky a dirty look, and looked at Dimond, smiled, and said “he’s our waiter. He’s gonna serve us. I already have a meal planned for you and me.” Then Randy and Dimond sat down at the “table”; they were at opposite ends.

“Would you two like something to drink?” the waiter asked, then Randy replied.” I would like some wine, please.” Then he looked at Dimond, waiting for her to say something. She was looking at Randy, confused. “You want some wine?” Randy asked. Dimond didn’t know what to say. Then she said “Uh….uh….sure.” then the waiter smiled. “It’s nice to have “Lady and the Tramp” visit here.” he said, while looking back and forth at them. Randy got mad, and said “shut-up and get our food.” then the waiter left to get the meal.

Dimond started a conversation.

“So what’s a waiter?”

“Oh, it’s just someone that serves food I guess. But he’s gettin the leftovers from his master’s cookin’. He always serves people at night when his master is at home sleepin’.”

“Oh, ok. So what we havin’?”

“You’ll see. We’re sharing by the way, if ya don’t mind.”

“I don’t mind….it’s warm tonight.”

There was a moment of silence. They both just stared at each other in the eyes.

“You have the most beautiful eyes.” Randy said, still staring at Dimond. At first she didn’t know what to say, but then said, “thank you” and stopped the moment of staring. Then the waiter came out with two glasses of wine, and set them on the table. “Hold on, ill go get the meal.” he said, and then left.

Randy took a sip of wine. A few moments later, the waiter came out with a big plate of cold pasta, and said “there you go, “Lady and the Tramp.”’ Randy looked up and gave him another dirty look, and said “how many times is your stupid self gonna say that?” The waiter didn’t say anything, and went back into the building.

“Let’s dig in.” Randy said while looking into Dimond’s eyes. She smiled, and then dug her face right into the meal. Randy’s eyes grew big, and was shocked. “You must be hungry.” he said with that same look on his face. Dimond didn’t say anything, and just kept eating. Randy tried to eat just a little bit, but every time when he’d put his face by the plate, he’d think his head might be bit off. So Randy just watched, while smiling. He took some more sips of his wine, and then found that Dimond was done eating. There was nothing on the plate, and Dimond’s face was full of sauce. She looked up at Randy, and smiled. Randy chuckled, and said “I would pass you a meat ball, but you ate everything already.” Dimond’s tail started to wag, and she chuckled, and said “sorry ‘bout that.” then looked down.

Randy started to move next to Dimond, and sat down. He started to lick the sauce off Dimond’s face. As soon as he was done, he smiled and stared at Dimond’s eyes again. He drank some more of his wine, then said “let’s go” got up, started to walk, stumbled a little bit, then finally started to walk right. Dimond was right behind him.

Randy ended up taking Dimond to a hill. There was nothing but a few trees around, and a great view down hill. When they got to the top, Randy rested on the grass and snow, and Dimond went to lay right by him. They were lying on their backs, looking up into the dark sky.

“Did you have a good time back at the restaurant?” Randy asked Dimond while looking into her eyes again. “Yeah, it was great!” she said. Randy just stared into her eyes, and he was in his own world.

“You are so beautiful.” he said. Dimond was confused, and said “are you serious?! I am butt ugly.”

“No no no girl, don’t say that about yourself! I mean, look at ya; you have big paws, a big nose, a big belly, a big head, big feet, big ears, thick legs, and that is beautiful! That is sexy.” after Randy said that, Dimond didn’t know what to say. But she finally said “thank you” not smiling, and looking away from Randy. So he got up, and sat down on Dimond’s stomach, kind of like he was going to ride a horse, and stared into her eyes.

“It was a compliment, why would you get mad?…um…to me, I think you are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.” Randy said, and Dimond replied back. “Well everyone thinks I’m ugly, and I thought you were playin’ with me.”

“Girl, why on earth would I do that to you?! And trust me; I really do think you’re beautiful.”

“Thank you so much Randy; nobody’s ever said that to me…..you make me feel great.”

“You make me feel great, too.” Randy smiled, and there was another moment of silence…….Then Dimond started up a different topic.

“How much you weigh?”

“Hmmm……about 95 pounds.”

“95 pounds?!! I thought you were 20.” Dimond smiled after she said that. Randy started to laugh. “Oh yeah, thanks Dimond.” he said, still laughing. Then he ended up asking the same question to her. “How much do you weigh? It’s 200 aint it?” Dimond started to laugh really hard. “I am not no 200 pounds!” she yelled, still laughing. Randy was laughing too, then asked, “So how much do you weigh?” Dimond couldn’t stop laughing at first, but then answered his question. “I am 130.” Randy laughed, and said “You aint no 130 pounds. You’re 200.” Both Randy and Dimond were laughing.

“What if I bounced on your belly? Would you fart?” Randy asked with a grin on his face. “Go ahead and bounce on me. I’ll just push you off.” Dimond replied. Then Randy started to bounce up and down on Dimond. It wasn’t too hard; he doesn’t want to hurt her (no he wasn’t jumping, or standing! Still sitting!!!). And then they herd a fart noise come out of her. They both started to laugh. “That was funny.” Randy said with a big grin.

Once again, there was another moment of silence. All you would hear is the wind blowing through the trees. Then Randy positioned himself, and ended up laying on Dimond. She didn’t seem to mind. Randy had his head right by Dimond’s (he’s on the front side of his body; back facing the sky). Then Randy started to lick Dimond’s neck (for a few moments), but she still didn’t mind. He stopped licking her, and then gently put his paws on her checks. Randy just stared into Dimond’s eyes. He was finally ready to express his feelings. “I love you.” Randy said, in a quiet, peaceful voice. Dimond was a little shocked, and expecting them to be just friends. But then Dimond felt strong feelings for Randy. “I love you, too.” she replied in that same quiet voice.

That night, they stayed there with each other, and didn’t bother going back to the pack. So, they just stayed the night; where they were.
