Hey i'm Skimpy.  I am the weird one in the pack.  No one likes me at all.  My mom and dad died when i was very young.  The died trying to rescue some pups from a bear.  The pups made it though, thanks to my parents.  I live with the pack leader Handa.  Handa is very wise and spends most of his time watching the young ones.

      Well it was in the morning and eveyone was reading the newbie rock to see if any new wolfs were coming.  Well i guess there was some.  So I read it.

          I guess no one important was coming.  So i went back to my den and started playin with some string i found.  "They're here oh my gosh they're here!!!!" said Wacko the crazy wolf.  I went to see them.  WOW!! Razzle was exactly my age!!  I went up and said "Hi,  I'm Skimpy".  She said "Hey i'm Razzle."  I was scared she'd think of me as weird too, but i guess i was wrong.  Well everyone else went up and said hi to her also and again i felt left out.  That night when eveyone was asleep i went over to her den. I guess i kind of startled her.  "ahhhh",  She screamed.  SHHH!! i said " it's ok it's just me.",  "Oh my gosh" she said, "You scared the living crap out of me!"  She said laughing. 

             We started to laugh and didn't realize we were laughing so loudly and that we were out of her den.  We laughed loud enough that all the nocternal animals could here us.  While we were laughing something else was watching us from a near by bush.  Then once we stoped i heard it breatheing.  It had a low growl in it.  Razzle heard it too.  Then in the bush i saw these golden eyes they were the color of a full moon.  It was waiting, waiting to catch one of us.  Whatever it was,  it wasn't nice.  We started to walk back to the de cause we were really scared.  All of the sudden i heard this snarl,  a scream and i saw this flash of golden fur.  It was a mountain lion and it had Razzle.

          I was in panic.  So i ran at it.  With all my might i hit it, i hit it as hard as i could.  I saw Razzle's body fly through the air.  I saw blood skquirting from an arm.  The lion had bitten an artere,  and she was losing blood fast.  I screamed as loud as i could trying to get someone's attention.  Handa heard my howls and came rushing out.  His eyes were filled with rage.  He came at me and said, "you get Razzle and head into her den and take care of her,  I'll get the lion."  I was scared to death so i din't hesitate.  I went and i grabbed RAzzle's body and i ran as fast as i could to her den.  Her parents were there waiting.  We got some bandages and rapped her arm up.  we were able to save  her.  WE heard a yelp.  Then a snarl then silence.

               Razzle's dad went out to see.  he came back in.  HIs eyes full of fear and sadness.  Lasa went over to him and said, "honey whats wrong?",  He said, "They're dead,  they're both dead.".  Silence filled the room.

              I was stiff.  I couldn't beleive what i had just heard.  I statred to cry.  "NO, NO, YOUR LIEING I SWEAR YOUR LIEING!!!"  I ran out of the den and i ran over to Handa.  I laied my head on his lifeless body.  Who was i going to live with?  Who was going to lead the pack?  The next day we had a barieal for Handa.  I was voted tobe the new pack leader but i disn't want to.  I ended up living with Razzle and her parents.

            People voted me for the group leader cause they knew i was wise and none of them wanted to do it.  I had a hard life.  Me and Razzle were best buds.  She was really popular.  So we didnt hang out much.  Well one day i was tired of being ignored so,  i  went and sat by Razzle at lucnh.  SHe was like, "What are you doing?".  i said " uh sitting by you what does it look like?"  "Well i think you need to get away from me." She said.  So i got up and left.  Iwas totally confused.  Why had Razzle acted like that?  SO that  evening when we got back home from school i asked why she had been so rude at lunch.  she said, "ew get away from me."  i had had it.  I did something i probably shouldn't of done.  I grabbed my book and i smacked her across the head.  SHe screamed so loud.  i started to run regreting what i did.

                I ra far into the forest,  tears streaming down my face.  I finally stopped.  i found this nice coziy little cave.  I decided to stay there.  I was wondering why Razzle had been so rude.  Then i started to feel better about hitting her.  Then i heard someone walking.  I stayed still.  the all of the suddon.  "BOO", hee hee.".  It was a young squeruil.  I was like, "What are you donig here by yourself?',  "Well I can't find my mom last i saw of her she was talking to a lion.  Then the lion started running and my mommy was gone." He said, " She probably went to play house tea party with it."  I started to feel so bad for the little guy.  "would you like to stay with me?" I asked.  He said yes.  I told him why i was here. 

               Well years went by and we grew up.  WE were running through the forest when we came across this place where there were 10 wolf dens all in a row.  There were wolfs everywhere.  The place seemed so familliar.  All of the suddon i got these flash backs,  first  there was a flash of golden fur then a dead wolf then a swinging book,  a peircingt scream then it was over.  I knew where we were i wanted to run and hide and cry. 

               Then i saw this girl she was so familiar.  THen  knew who it was,  it was Razzle.  She was so beautiful.  I went up and said hey Razzle.  She was like um are u theodore tow?  I chuckled, "No, you dont remember me?" I said.  "No".  "It's me Skimpy!"  Then i saw anger in her eyes.  "YOU".  "Look i'm sorry for what i did but you were being rude to me and i was mad because you were turning on me".  "Well it's because you, you, you weren't popular and people wouldn't like me if i talked to a unpopular person!"  "That's no reason to turn on me!!" I'm sorry ok!!, IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO GET OVER IT!!".  "I WILL NEVER GET OVER IT!".  "YOU HAVE TO, your my best friend.".  She started to cry and i hugged her.
