Chapter 1

 

My name is Wolfy and my owner’s is Oliver. He’s a nice person and he likes to help animals. He named me like that because he likes wolf and it’s a nice name for me. I have a collar. Oliver gave me collar when I was pup. Now, Oliver wants to take me for a walk.

“Wolfy, let’s take a walk. It’s a nice day.”

“Woof, woof.”

“Almost forget this, a small thing but important.” He takes the collar and put it on my neck.

“Wolfy, take a walk huh?”

“Yes Rico, as you can see. And who’s she? Your mate?”

“Errr… no. She’s just my friend.” Rico blushes and runs away.

“Yeah, a special friend.” I smile and continue to walk.

Ten minutes later, we stop walking and take a rest under a tree near a lake. I see my other friend. Her name is Jenna.

“Jenna. I’ve never seen you for a while. Where have you been?”

“I have an info for you. I have a mate.”

“A what?”

“A mate.”

“Gosh… who is he?”

“He’s Squirrel.”

“Oh…. err…. Anyways, I’m happy to hear that.”

“Hmm… I doubt that.”

“No… I’m serious. I’m happy to hear that.

“Thanks Wolfy, nice to meet you.” She licks me and walks to her owner.

My owner sees Jenna and talks to me.

“Beauty eh… Do you like her?” He looks at me.

“Oh yeah, you don’t understand what I’m talking about. Never mind.”

But I understand what did he say. And it seems that it’s a bad day for me. We start to walk again. Now, we’re going home.

I don’t know why I feel sad tonight. She’s just my friend, not my mate. But I can’t forget her face.

“Enough. She’s my friend and I’m happy that she has a mate.” I fall asleep but I still can’t forget her.

Chapter 2

 

It’s a new day. A beautiful day with the sunshine and birds fly over me. I get up and walk to lake near my house. The water is fresh and I love to drink from the lake.

“Ahh… What a beautiful day. Maybe I’ll go to meet Hunter. I hope he isn’t busy for now.”

I walk but I forget the important thing. Oliver took my collar last night and now, I forget to wear it.

“Wolfy, your breakfast is ready.” Oliver opens the door and he’s surprised.

“Where’s Wolfy? He didn’t wear his collar. He’s in trouble. I got to go and find him.”

Meanwhile, I walk and I don’t realize the dog catcher.

“Hey Arthur, we have a dog over there.”

I start to look around but I can’t see other dog near me. Then, I realize that I don’t wear my collar.

“Oh God, I’m in a big trouble.” I start to run as fast as I can.

“Hey, don’t run from us.” They chase me with their van. I know they’ll catch me because I’m slower than the van.

“Over here.” I heard a voice.

“Where? I can’t see you.”

“Here you dumb dog.” I see a white female dog.

“Oh… there you are.” I run to the dog.

“Thanks for helping me?”

“You’re welcome. May I ask you a question?”

“Sure.”

“Are you nut? Walking around and with dog catcher outside there?”

“Hey, I have a collar but I forgot to wear it?”

“Silly.”

“Once again, thanks. By the way, I’m Wolfy. May I know your name?”

“I’m Sunny. Now we should go from here and find a place for us, far away from the dog catcher.”

“After you.”

We walk and I realize that she’s beauty. The most beautiful dog that I’ve ever met.

“Why are you looking at me?”

“Ow…ow…. No, I’m not looking at you.”

“Oh yeah? Never see a female dog?”

“I have a female friend?”

“Your mate?”

“No, she’s just… my friend.” I sighing.

“It seems that you like her.”

“I was, but she has a mate now.”

“Oh… I’m sorry to hear that.”

We continue to walk and find a place near a park. We walk in together.

“Ladies first.”

She shakes her head and walks in front of me.

“Wolfy, I just want to know what were you doing there?”

“I wanted to meet my friend, and you know what happened after that.”

“Yeah, you ran away from the dog catcher, it’s funny.” She starts to laugh.

“He..he… yeah.”

“Well, we can stay here for a moment. Maybe it’s not good like your home but it’s enough for now.”

“It’s OK. As long as you here with me.”

“What did you say?”

“Huh… err… never mind.”

 

Chapter 3

 

We stayed there for one night. That morning, I walk around looking for food. Luckily, I can catch a chicken. I bring it to Sunny.

“Wake up, Sunny, It’s morning.”

She yawns. “Morning? I must fell asleep last night.”

“Yeah, you looked tired last night. Here, I have food for you.”

“Food? How did you get it?”

“I caught it. A chicken. Ladies first.” I smile to her.

“Thanks, Wolfy.” She blushes and starts to eat.

After that, we walk again.

“You know Wolfy, I never see a dog like you. You’re so kind. Not like other dogs.”

“Ahh… I learnt it from my owner. He likes to help animals.”

“You must be happy have an owner like him.”

“Yeah. Do you have an owner?”

“I was, but she left me. It’s not her fault. She have to go with her parents and never get back.”

“I’m sorry to hear that. I’m so sorry.”

“Never mind. Oh yeah, what will you do when you’re home?”

“I don’t know so much to do.”

We walk and Oliver still looking for me. He walks and realizes that the dog is me. He runs to me and hugs me.

“Wolfy, I worried about you. I thought that I’ll never see you again.”

I lick him and he sees a dog beside me.

“Well, well, well… Who are you? You’re so beautiful.” Says Oliver.

Sunny just walks away sadly and she wants to leave me.

“Sunny, don’t go.”

“Why? Your owner found you and I think I should go.”

“No. I don’t want you to go because…”

“What?”

“I like you.”

“I like you too. I like everyone.”

“It’s more than that. I love you.”

“What?”

“Sorry to interrupt you two. It looks like Wolfy likes you. Why don’t you go home with us? I see that you don’t have a collar.”

Sunny barks and so do I.

“I know you have a name but I don’t know it. May I call you Sunny? Like today. A sunny day.”

Sunny barks and wags her tail.

“Now let’s go home. Both of you.”

We walk happily and I know that today is a wonderful day.
