Luk, two polar bear cubs, came along with me. Every now and then I would scratch a tree to mark the trail. On the way we encountered a huge black grizzly bear. I tried to take down the bear, but it pushed me down to the ground, knocking the air out of me. The bear was about to slash my stomach out, but Jenna stopped him in time. When I finally got my breath back, I charged at the bear.”
“It really got mad and it followed me down a hill that I fell down that led to lake of ice. The bear’s massive weight caused the ice to crack. The bear fell through the ice, taking me with it.”
“You fell in too!” gasped Kairi.
“Actually, what happened is when the bear fell through, the crack widened to where I was standing and it flipped over, sealing me under the ice.”
“Then how did you get out?” said Riku.
“I owe my thanks to Muk and Luk who jumped in to help me, but at the time they could not swim,” said Balto.
The five visitors started to laugh.
Polar bears that can’t swim,” they said in unison.
“That’s exactly what I said,” said Jenna.
“Anyway, they managed to get me out, but I was really cold from being down there. Jenna came up to me. When I tried to get up, she lightly pushed me back down and laid on top of me to keep me warm,” Balto said as Jenna licked his cheek and he nuzzled her back.
“Would you two like to be left alone?” said Donald.
“Sorry about that, where did I leave off?”
“Well, when we started to continue on our task, Jenna fell down and right away I knew she was hurt. I pulled over a large tree branch and I told Muk and Luk to take Jenna back home and I told Boris to go with them. Also Jenna gave me her bandana to help me keep warm but she didn’t think it would help, but I told her it would. Before I left Boris said to me ‘ Let me tell you something, Balto. A dog cannot make this journey alone. But maybe a wolf can.’ I didn’t quite understand what he tried to tell me. As I continued to look for the lost team, it became night. Then I caught Steele’s scent.”
“When I went up a hill, I saw the team at the bottom. I went to go help, but going down I slid on a patch of ice. Every one was surprised to see me except for Steele. I saw that the crate that held the medicine was alright, but the musher was knocked out cold. I told them that I could lead them back, but Steele said that they did not need my help and I told them that I marked the trail that could lead them back, but Steele didn’t care. Everyone wanted to get the medicine back home including me, but before I could do anything, Steele attacked me.”
“He attacked you?” Kairi said.
“Yeah, he did.”
“But why did he attack you?” Sora said.
“To this date I still have no idea why. He may have done it out of revenge,” Balto said.
“Dad I think we may need to go into town because it is getting too crowed in here,” said Dingo.
“Yeah, you’re right, let’s go.”
Meanwhile Xemnas and all of his assistants were in an underground cavern plotting.
“So, what are we going to do about the three Keyblade warriors and that wizard and guard?’ said Hades.
“I’m not sure but I can sense that the Keyblade master is with his friends and others,” said Xemnas.
“Why don’t we send some Heartless into that small town were they went to,” said Captain Hook.
Meanwhile, in the boiler room, Balto was getting ready to continue his story.
“Well, when Steele attacked me, he tackled me, grabbed me and he even threw me into a rock. I slammed into it hard and all he did was laugh. When I stated to stand up he charged at me but instead of grabbing me, he grabbed Jenna’s bandanna. He was trying to do what ever he could, but the bandanna came undone and he fell off of the cliff.”
“Did he die?” said Goofy.
“No, he did not,” said Balto.
“Well, after that, the dogs had me be their lead dog, but what I didn’t know is that Steele had a plan. When we came to the forest, I saw that all the trees were scratched. We ran in circles for awhile but what I didn’t know is that I almost led us off a cliff. Good thing we stopped, but the sled was right at the edge and the ropes started to break, I jumped out of my harness and grabbed the rope attached to the crate, but the weight of myself and the crate and caused the edge of the ice mountain to break away.”
“So you fell down a mountain,” said Riku.
“Yes I Did,” Balto said.
“But what happened next?” said Kairi.
“I think Jenna should tell you what happened next.”
“What happened next is when I was in the boiler room, the dogs were wondering how Balto was going to find the team, and I told them that he was tracking them. They all started laughing, then the door swung open and I saw the silhouette of a dog and I thought it was Balto but it was Steele. Doc asked Steele where the rest of the team was and he said that they did not make it and he said that when Balto showed up, he demanded he take the medicine. He also said that Balto fell off a cliff. He the pulled out the bandana I gave to Balto before he left. Steele said that Balto told him to take care of me. Right away I new he was lying and I grabbed my bandana and left the room. After that, I grabbed the lantern that was hanging outside the post office and took it to a hill where, along with some broken bottles, I arranged them the way Balto showed me, and the Northern Lights were showing on the side of the mountain.”
“I never expected anyone to go through all that.” Said Sora.
“So what happened next?” asked Donald.
“I think Balto can tell you the rest,” Jenna said.
“Well, after I fell off the cliff, I was lucky that I landed in a pile of snow that broke my fall. When I dug myself out, it was morning and I feared that the children didn’t make it, so I felt that I let everyone down including Rosy. Right there I felt like giving up, but when I removed my paw from my face I saw this white wolf looking down at me.”
“What did it do to you?” Kairi asked.
“It just howled,” replied Balto. “But after it howled I turned away and then it left, but I then saw the crate and looked up the mountain and then the words that Boris told me took affect and something in me started to wake up. I looked where the wolf was and there were paw prints so I started to stand and I placed my paw on one of them and it matched and then I howled. The wolf inside me had been awakened.”
“So you used a part of yourself you didn’t like,” Goofy said.
“Well, I felt more ashamed of my wolf heritage,” Balto said.
“Well, after that I carried the crate back up the mountain and we continued back, but when came to all the trees that Steele marked along with mine, I was a able to tell which way to go. We went over and ice bridge and it started to break, then an avalanche started and we ran into a cave but we had to be quiet. When we stepped of the ledge, the sled slammed onto the ice, which echoed in the cave and caused the spikes of ice to fall. One hit the side of the crate and some of the nails came loose and one of the vials of medicine fell out and shattered, I tried to get to the crate but the ice was slippery, so what I did next surprised even me. An ice spike feel and I jumped at it and slid to the crate and pushed the nails back in, and we barely made it out. A few hours later, I could tell that we were almost home. When we were close I decided to howl to let the town know we were back and then I saw the image of the Northern Lights on the mountain and I howled again. When we arrived with the medicine, it was immediately given to children and the townspeople considered me a hero and they were no longer afraid of me. Steele was then discovered to have caused us to get lost and almost got us killed, so he was banished from Nome.”
“Now, you guys know what I did,” said Balto.
“I can’t believe you did all that!” said Doanld.
“Yeah, my Dad did a lot to help this town out,” said Saba.
“So whatever happened to Steele?’ asked Sora.
“We don’t know what happened to him,” said Balto.
Suddenly, they heard a little girl scream.
“Help! It’s a monster!”
“That’s Rosy,” said Jenna.
“And the Heartless.” Said Sora.
Chapter 4: The Invasion of Nome
Nome, Alaska
When Sora and the group ran outside, they saw about one thousand Heartless coming into town. The townspeople were screaming and running because they did not know what these things were capable of.
"What are we going to do?" Jenna said.
"You nine are going to stay here while we do our job," said Sora.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Donald and Goofy ran in front of the people to protect them.
The owner of the general store saw Sora, Kairi and Riku.
"You were the three that came into the store this morning," he said.
"Yeah, that was us, Sora repiled.
"You three and your two friends should find someplace to hide because you don't know what could happen," said the general store owner.
Sora, Kairi and Riku held out their hands and in their hands appeared swords that looked like keys, except for the one that Riku held, which looked like a regular sword. The townspeople were shocked at what they saw.
"Let's do this," said Sora.
Sora and his four friends ran at the Heartless. Sora was swinging his Keyblade at the Heartless while at the same time using his magic.
The townspeople were looking as the battle unfolded.
"Where are these people from?" said the owner of the saw mill.
"I don't know," said Rosy's father.
"Where's Jenna?" said Rosy.
In the boiler room Jenna was staying close to Balto.
"It's those things again," Jenna said.
"Jenna, you stay here with the others. I'm going to go help them," Balto said.
"Balto, Sora said for us to stay here. Besides, I don't want to loose you."
"Jenna, to me you, our family and our friends are more important then my life."

Not bad! Although it seemed a little rushed. In the sequel, try to put more discription into it. Despite that, nice job! I LOVE Kingdom Hearts and Balto! |
This is a very well-written story, although the spelling and
punctuation need an adjustment (you frequently spelled
"lose" with two "o's"). I'm looking forward to the sequel!
