Again, I wouldn't trust Wikipedia. Unless Disney specifically and officially said it, it's just conjecture.

Oh yes, here it is:
"On Christmas morning 1909, Jim Dear gives his wife Darling a cocker spaniel puppy that they name Lady." That was from wikipedia. But then again, unless the movies are 3 years apart (which is possible) maybe not

Well the first L&T movie does not specify that. It is left to the viewer's own imagination. And the sequel only hints at some possible answers (a quick glance of an article in a newspaper about the Titanic disaster, which would hypothetically place the movies in the 1912 time frame. Though this is not a definite answer to the question).

I heard somewhere that it was set in 1909, but I could be wrong. I still can't remember where I heard it though...

Peacockqueen - not that I doubt you, because I appreciate your trying to answer that. But a question first. How did you arrive at that conclusion? Because none of the canon materials on either DVD mention that. Not in any of the extas. So where have you seen this stated? Because the only thing that Disney has ever said about the town is that it was based upon Walt Disney's boyhood home of Marceline, Missouri.

This is an awesome story, and to answer the "unspecified town" mystery has taken place called Brunswick, Maine and was set in the 1910's which are 1909 and 1911 (just found out yesterday). sorry if i upset the imagimation.
