"Pick up the pace every one!" kodi barked, today the team would have their very first race against the 16 time, gold collar champion... steele, though his fame had faded, he did what ever it took to get it back. "sisi! sisi! you gotta get over to the starting line! the race is about to begin!" dusty's little sister,shakira, called from the side lines, "thanks shakira! we owe ya one!" cried kirby.  Every body ran to the starting line. The race had started and kodi's team was in the lead,just then, dusty thought back to when she had first joined: "dusty! be home by 8:00 and don't disapiont me hon" dusty's father called as dusty ran out the door way " don't worry! I won't disapiont you!" dusty repplied, she couldn't wait to join the u.s. mail team! she had waited her whole life for this chance to forfil her dream.

When dusty came into town she saw the mail team cracking jokes and chatting, "hey! can I join you mail team? please?!" dusty asked the lead dog named kirby, ''One sec" he said as him and the rest of the team talked in private, "well... okay, but you have to answer some qeustions and pass two tests" kirby repplied. "First," said  ralfgh, the beta of the group"you have to run, from that end of the sreet, to that beach, which is aproxemently one mile,oh, and we only exept dogs that are under one minute" he said as kirby drew the starting line.

"Ready,set,GO!" kirby cried as dusty took of at lighting speed, she ran to the water and zipped bck as fast as she could. when she got back kirby told her "59 seconds and 3 steps per 5 seconds" he said, "now you have to pass this test, do you have any experiance?" ralfgh asked dusty,"no" dusty said under her breath "okay, so, have you faced dagerous obsictals?" kirby asked her. "YES! to many to count!' dusty repplied, "sure,well, okay will you be willing to run thouands of miles every day?" kirby asked her, ''yes'' dusty said
