One day, a young husky named Star was strolling down the path of the forest

One day, a young husky named Star was strolling down the path of the forest. He could tell Autumn was here, because the leave on the trees were starting to fall, and when they fell, They would collect in a huge pile of gold, brown, yellow, and black scraps of paper (the leaves.)

They crunched under Star's feet as he trudged across them.

But, as he trudged, he felt he was hurting the leaves!

'Oops, I am truly sorry - oh, I stood on your foot, awfully sor - Eek! I keep standing on you little people!' Star squealed to the leaves.

The birds in the trees and the squirrels on the path thought that he was a lunatic.

'What are you at?!' squeaked on of the squirrels. 'They're only leaves. They aren't living things!'

'What are you talking about?!' Star was shocked. 'They are little people and I am reluctant to standing on them.'

'Well, if you're so RELUCTANT to stand on the "little people", then go onto the middle of the path.'

'FINE.' Star walked in the middle and there were no leaves there, so he was happy then.

'Idiot,' the squirrel muttered to himself.

As Star walked on deeper into the forest, it seemed to be geting gloomier. The sky was grey,

there was an eerie breeze, and there seemed to be weird noises comin from the trees...

By now, there were no animals other then Star himself to be seen. The birds and the squirrels had vanished, and there wasn't even the sound of bees buzzing to comfort him...

Now, Star felt scared.

'Maybe I should just turn and go home,' he thought to himself.

'... Star... STAR...'

Star froze.

What was that?!

It was something calling his name... a croaky voice, calling his name...

'Star... You must save her... you must save the princess of the wolves...'

'Princess of the wolves?' Star said to the voice. 'Whos the princess of the w - '

'There is no time to wait! We must go, quick.'

And as the voice gave those words, a large figure came out of the darkness.

It was a...

Cat.

A ginger tom cat.

And he was actually quite big, for a cat. He was almost the size of a lion.

With glowing, yellow eyes.

To Star, this was utterly ridiculous.

And actually, quite funny.

'...You're a... cat.' Star couldn't help giggling to himself, but tried not to let the cat hear his giggling.

'Not just a cat,' said the *snigger* CAT. 'I am part cat, part lion.'

That explained it then.

'Right then.' Star thought this was like Balto being half dog, half wolf. But this cat hardly even looked like a lion. Just a normal house cat.

'Yes... and I need your help. Well, WE need your help. Princess Gloriana, the princess of the wolves, has been kidnapped by the evil dark wolf Rogan, and into his dark fortress. Help us. Please.'

'Okay, this is all going a bit cooky,' Star said. 'I have a lot of questions for you, um, cat. Number one, how did you know my name, and number two, who is this Rogan guy?'

The cat sighed. 'He is an evil villain who is as thick as a tree trunk. And, I know your name because everyone in my village knows your name, you are the legendary Star...'

'I am not a legend, I am just a normal sled dog. A husky, to be more specific,' Star said.

'Whatever, we just need your help. Come now, I must take you to the castle, we will rescue Gloriana.'

'Okay.' Maybe Star himself was going a bit cooky, but oh well...

And so they walked and walked until they were out of the forest. But when they came to the end of the forest Star saw a big huge castle on a hill, that seemed like miles away.

And it probably was.

'Is that it?' Star asked the cat.

'Yes. It may be a long journey, though,' said the cat.

'Aww, no!' Star sighed. 'I hate long journies, it means lots of walking, and walking and WALKING... did I mention WALKING...'

'Quit your whining, the sooner we start, the sooner we'll get there. Lets go.'

And so they trudged off to the castle, on the pathway in the mud.

It took quite long to get there.

Star was exhausted, but they did it, they did it.

They both looked up at the castle, it must have been about 100 feet high.

Star could tell that was a tad taller than himself...

'That window, right there.' The cat pointed up to it, it was about 9 stories up, and it was really high.

'How are we gonna get up THERE?!' Star asked.

'We climb,' the cat said, as if it was really simple.

'Oh, yeah, thats easy for you to say.' Star huffed.

'Yes, actually.' The cat licked his paw. 'Come on, let's go.'

They climbed and climbed and climbed a little more, for what seemed like FOREVER, but they made it to the window.

They looked inside.

They saw a female wolf, with sapphire blue eyes, looking really sad, chained to the wall.

'Thats Princess Gloriana.' Star thought.

And a big, hefty, black wolf with red eyes, taunting her, licking the fur on her head against her own will.

'Yuck, get off me Rogan, you awful brute,' Gloriana said. 'Star will come and rescue me, I can tell you that.'

Star actually felt quite flattered. SHE knew who he was, too!

'Hehe, Star can't save you now, because you're mine,' Rogan laughed.

Just then, Star jumped in and hit Rogan in the eye with his paw. Rogan fell to the ground.

'Leave Princess Gloriana alone!' he said. For once in his life, he felt really brave.

'Star! Its you! Its really you!' Gloriana beamed.

Rogan got up and growled. he looked at Star.

'Grr, Star, the legend is true,' Rogan said. 'But, the legend shall be dead, as you will be.'

'No!' Gloriana screamed.

'That won't happen,' Star said, as he got hold of Rogan's tail with his teeth, and threw him out the window to his death.

Star ran over to Gloriana, and smashed open the chains with his teeth, so that Gloriana was free.

'Oh, Star,' Gloriana smiled. 'You saved my life.'

'Well, sorta,' Star blushed. 'This cat saved my life, too.'

Star turned around, but the cat was gone. He ran over to the window, and looked out onto the land, and saw the cat that led him to save a princesses life, walking back into the forest.

'He didn't even tell me his name,' Star sighed.

'His name is Striker. He is one of my true friends,' said Gloriana.

Star looked into her eyes.

She looked into his.

And they leaned forward to eachother...

Their noses were only a few millimetres away from rubbing...

DING DONG!

DING DONG!

'Wha?' Star woke up. 'Gloriana?'

He was in his basket, in his owners house.

There was no Striker, no Gloriana.

'Hehe, I must have been dreaming.'

Star got up and went over to his bowl.

'Hmm, maybe after breakfast I'll go for a stroll in the woods.'

But what will happen then?

THE END.
