Run! Run as fast as you can!
I crossed out the marks, from my old plan.
She stirred the dirt, with every step in her journey,
making her way,
without any hurry.
I laughed and then cried out loud,
“I told her to run, I told her to scurry.”
He scratched at my face with his dirt encrusted claw,
But only one thing I knew was his flaw.
I walked out on him,
For I knew he needed me.
The world outside was dim
And running was the key.
I took off through the grass,
Long, and dark and free,
I knew not much time could pass,
before he’d catch up to me.
Serpentine, is what I’d do,
Around the trees,
without a clue.
I felt a breeze,
Around my feet,
But then found out,
It was his teeth.
