murmured. Kodi's smile widened and he lay his head back down, closing his eyes.

  "KODI!" she cried.

 "What's going on?" a voice asked. Aleu appeared next to her.

  "Kodi's hurt, get Balto and Jenna!" Dusty replied. Aleu cast a horrified look at her brother and bolted, as fast as a wolfdog could to her family.

  "KODIAK!" Dusty screamed. Nothing. "KODIAK, don't you dare leave me!" A paw kicked at her paw. She jumped. Kodi's grinning face appeared again.

  "I HAD to get you," he laughed softly. Dusty gasped. Aleu, Balto, and Jenna appeared.

  "Oh, Kodi," Jenna whispered.

  "He's okay," Aleu laughed, shakily.

  "Of course he is," Balto said.

 Months later Kodi and Dusty were proudly gazing at their 5 week old pup, Joy. Joy was almost identicle to Dusty with Kodi's eyes. She went around ome, bringing peace to fighting friends.

 Her nickname was Peace Bringer.
