''Mia'' said a soft voice.

               Mia a young husky woke to see her loving owner in front of her. She got up and waked to her saying her hello with a lick on the nose. The woman  giggled and then went to the door to let Mia out. Mia ran out side to see the snowy covered land. She lived in nome on the far edge of the woods. Mia had always heard the wolf calles. She wanted to ran and meet them but she knew she was husky and they would never let her live with them. She had thought of just living on her own but she knew that would never work as well. She went a few steps into the woods ready to risk it all. 

 ''Come Mia lets get into town.'' Called her owner kate from the house.

               Mia turned and ran to her side. Kate but her harnest on her and they were of on a two mile ran to the city. When they got to the city Kate let Mia go off. Kate was busy at her job. Mia went to see her friend Tiko. Tiko was the same age. He was a red Husky. Tiko was a new member of the mail dog sled team. He lives in town with Dave,his owner. Mia nwe him as a close friend, what she didn't know was Tiko really liked her a LOT.

''Hi...Mia.'' Tiko said as she came closer.

 ''Hi,Tiko. What's going on? Are you going on your first mail run?!'' She asked jumping around.

''Ya,I am were going to White Mt. I really happy!'' He said.

''Wow your going to do great. Be careful.'' She said.

''Hi,Mia.'' Said Kodi.

''O hi Kodi. I hear your lead dog now that's great!'' Mia said in a hurry.

                   Mia really liked him he was so cute,cool and he was BALTO'S SON! She had liked him from the day she saw him. A very deep angry felling fell over Tiko. He knew Mia liked him, she told him every day. he wished he was lead dog so Mia would like him and not Kodi. Tiko wanted to bite him right then and there but Mia would hate him for that.

''Thanks Mia.'' Kodi said.

''Your welcome.'' She said with a big smile.

                   Kodi walked away to the front of the line of dogs.

''O why do you like him Mia? He's just so I don't know not your kind of guy.'' Tiko said when Kodi was out of range.

''Not my kind? So you think he's to good for me don't you! I hate you!'' Mia yelled as she ran off to find Kate in tears.

                    She left pulling kate behind her faster then she had ever pulled. She was so upset and she didn't even know why. Why did it bug her what Tiko thought of her or Kodi for that matter! She got home and as soon as the door was open she ran in and went for a nap. In her dreams Kodi and Tiko kept coming to her one after another. Then a snow white wolf came and she woke up. Kate was in the living room. Mia went to her and put her nose in her palm.

''All right i let you out.'' Kate said going to the door and opening it.

                      Mia went out and sat down staring at the place that the sled dogs would pass at any min. The sound came fast to her she heard them from a little way away.she ran to the side of the house and looked around the conner. There was Kodi leading and Tiko at his left hind leg. They passed and headed into the woods. She speed up  and ran beside them befor they got away she said......
