They walked on in the heavy snow never looking back. Es felt sick as she kept on walking. She tried to fight this away but failed to. She fell to the ground the snow trying to bury her. Kumo ran over to her grabbing her paw and pulling her on his back. Es opened her eyes and turned her face away feeling useless. "Why am I so useless?" she thought to herself. She closed her eyes and tried to go to sleep. All of a sudden Es heard ice cracking. She looked up and she felt water slash on her face. Standing in front of them was a leapord seal! Ryu started to growl at it. The seal tried to jump on him. Kumo bit the seals neck sending the seals neck backwards. Kumo feel off.

Es looked at her friend. Ryu then bit the seals flipper. It yelped in pain and threw Ryu across the ice. Es looked at the seal. It ran towards her at full speed. "Am I going to die?" she thought to herself. Just then Es heard paws running on the ice. A wolf jumped onto the seals neck A white wolf fell to the ground. She landed on her paws. She looked at Es. Two other wolves jumped onto the seal. As the seal swatted at the wolves Ryu and Kumo got up. They also tackled the Seal. Th seal had enough and jumped back into the water. The white wolf looked at Es. "Im Iceburg" she said. Iceburg was white with a blue muzzle and blue paws. She was Es's size and so were the other wolves. Another wolf walked over to Es. "Im Night" she said. Night was a black wolf with a purple stripe that went from the tip of her head to the tip of her tail. She had a star necklace and a red spiked collar. The last wolf walked over to the group. "Im Lone" he said. Lone was a silver wolf.

"Hi" Es said. "Im Es this is Kumo and this is Ryu" she said. "Do you want to join us?" Es asked Iceburg. "Nah" she said walking away. Night stood next to Es. "I think we should Iceburg." she told her leader. Ice burg glared towards Es. "She looks mean" Es thought to herself. Iceburg walked up to Es. "Fine we'll come but don't get in my way" she said. Es stared at what seemed to be her new friend. The contonuied to walk. The snow making them disappear.

Es tried to fall asleep that night but couldn't. She looked around at everyone sleeping. She didn't see Iceburg. She went outside the cave and saw Iceburg looking at the stars. Es sat next to her. Iceburg looked at her then looked back at the stars."You know it's lonely out there" Iceburg said. "Really" Es asked. " I though that since you had 2 friends you had a lot of pack mates" Es thought to her self. Es looked at Iceburg. Soon the others all came out. Night and Lone looking at Iceburg and Kumo and Ryu looking at Es. Iceburg started to howl. The others joined in. They started to have fun making beats out of their howling. Soon they all fell asleep outside of the cave. "Good-night" Iceburg said to Es. "Same to you" she replied. "I think this is the start of a new friendship" they both thought as they drifted off to sleep.
