The Stair Way to Heaven and the Indian Princess

The Stair Way to Heaven

The wind howled as it passed threw the feathers in Chinook’s wings. It felt so good for her to spread her wings and fly up to the setting sun. A small wolf was on her back. Her name was Aspen. She was a small, black wolf with a white strip from between her eyes to the tip of her nose. Aspen also had a white figure on her back.

“Where are you taking me Chinook?” Aspen asked while the wind blew in her face.

“I’m taking you to a place that I haven’t been to in a very long time Aspen.” Chinook howled.

The place Chinook was going was indeed very far away and it would take a while for them to get there.

“Chin, are we there yet?”

“No”

“Now?”

“NO!”

“Are we there yet?”

“Be quiet. This is the place where it is very confusing.”

Chinook was concentrating very hard. The sun was incredibly bright. Aspen was watching as the clouds passed over her and passed beside her. From behind them, they could no longer see the ground. It was too cloudy. Chinook took a sharp turn. Aspen was not prepared for such a turn. She fell and was just in time to catch Chinook’s grey and black tail.

“Chinook, pull me up!” Aspen yelled.

“Sorry.” Chinook swung her tail and Aspen caught the scruff of her neck. The small wolf climbed on. Chinook suddenly slowed down and put her massive paws on one exact pink cloud. Aspen watched in awe. As soon as Chinook put weight on the cloud, she fell through and fell on a cloud that was orange from the sun.

Aspen thought she was about to die.

“Aaaaaahhhhhh! Pull up Chinook, pull up!” Aspen yelled in her ear.

Chinook gazed over her shoulder to look at the frightened wolf puppy.

“I’m sorry Aspen, but this has too be done.” Chinook yelled back.

Aspen was very scared. She had no idea what to think of the sky diving wolf. Chinook was growling with pleasure as she fell from the sky. Chinook felt a wind drift and quickly un-folded her wings and began to fly.

“Are you sure you still want to come with me?” Chinook asked Aspen.

“Yeah, I’m sure.” Aspen told her friend.

Chinook saw this one particular cloud and landed on it. It was a huge, fluffy cloud. Her paws touched the cloud and sank through a bit. Aspen could not believe her eyes.

Suddenly, the alpha female and her pal sank through the cloud faster than a humming bird could flap its wings twice. Aspen was so scared that she sank her claws into Chinook skin.

“Oww, let go you wolf pup, Chinook growled, let go!”

Aspen did not hear a word that Chinook said and continued to sink her claws in. The pain was not that bad. But Chinook found it irritating. She shook her head vigorously so Aspen would let go.

Minutes later, Chinook and Aspen were in the cloud walking down a path with small shiny stones. Chinook stopped with a halt.

“We’re not welcome at the moment, we have to go Aspen.”

“Awww, why?”

“My instincts are telling me to get out of here.”

Aspen jumped on Chinook’s back and they flew out of the cloud.

As soon as Chinook touched the ground with her paws, a wolf came out of bushes with a dead white-tailed deer. Her name was Tamaska. She was a beautiful brown wolf with different colors. Tamaska was Chinook’s best friend.

“Tamaska!” Chinook yelled.

“How are you doing?” Tamaska asked.

“Fine.” Chinook responded.

Another wolf came out followed by another wolf. It was Darkmoon and Larka.

“What are you guys doing here?” Chinook asked her friends.

Larka walked up and hugged her friend.

“I missed you so much! I have only been gone for a few weeks, but you are my best friend.” Tamaska told Chinook. Darkmoon went up and hugged his mate several times before Larka came up with a piece of meat in her mouth. Aspen gazed at the tall wolves and cowered down making her size smaller and smaller. Darkmoon went down to grab a piece, and so did Chinook. When they both ripped a piece off, they lifted their head and accidentally touched noses. Chinook dropped her meat and blushed heavily. Darkmoon gazed at her with passion.

“What are you looking at Dark?” Chinook asked with a smile.

Chinook started walking away. Darkmoon ran up and gave her a purple bandana.

“Ohh, Dark, it’s beautiful!” Chinook slipped it on and looked in a small lake that was near by.

Everyone nodded their head and walked along beside her.

As soon as Chinook put her paw down on this certain dark spot on the ground, they were zapped into thin air.

“Chinook were are we?” Aspen asked in the dark.

Some light came on, and the Phantom of the Opera music was playing and he was standing there in a boat with Christine.

“That’s my owner!” Chinook yelled.

Everyone looked at her in amazement.

“What?” Chinook asked.

Then suddenly, *zap* the wolves were in some other place on the beach.

“Now where are we?” Larka asked.

♫♪I don’t know when, I don’t know how, but I know something is starting right now, watch and you’ll see, some day I’ll be, part of your world! ♫♪

Everyone yelled and ran away, but… *zap*

“Oh, no I think I know where we are.” Darkmoon said with a worried face on.

Chinook looked at her mate.

“Ohh no, it’s Godzilla! Run for you life!” a man yelled.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Larka, Chinook, Darkmoon, Tamaska and Aspen yelled.

Godzilla started stomping to the wolves roaring and screeching.

“Find the plate, find the plate!” Tamaska yelled while running away putting her paws everywhere.

*Zap* they fell through a whole under the ground and hit grass in a meadow.

“Hey, look a deer!” Aspen whispered.

“It’s Bambie!” Chinook whispered.

“Man, I’m hungry!” Tamaska whispered.

Chinook walked forward a bit a got her bandana caught on a branch and it slipped off.

“My bandana.” Chinook walked back for it but heard the shot of a gun.

“AAAAAHHHHH run!” Aspen yelled.

The wolves ran and... *zap* they were in darkness.

“Now where are we?” Darkmoon asked.

“Who knows.” Larka told him.

♫♪ Let’s get down to business, to defeat the Huns! Did they send their daughters? When I asked, for sons. You are the saddest bunch I’ve ever met, but you can bet before you do. Mister I am a man out you...” ♪♫

“It’s Mulan, and boy, is the chief ever hot! Look at his body!” Aspen told her friends.

“EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWW! You are a wolf, not a human!” Larka yelled.

They walked away and hit a small dark spot in the grass. *Zap*

♪♫ We’re rocking the suburb, watching mommy bounce the checks while daddy juggles credit cards”♪♫

“Man, we missed Over the Hedge!” Chinook said.

The wolves walked away from the music and walked into another dark spot. *Zap*

Chinook, Darkmoon, Tamaska, Larka and Aspen were on skies and snowboards.

“Woooooooooooo! Ohh yeah, thins is fun!” Chinook yelled while sliding down the snow hill.

“Are you crazy?!?!?!?!?!” Darkmoon asked his mate.

Aspen, Tamaska and Larka were on skies and Chinook was the only one on a snowboard. Darkmoon was on the side watching. Chinook was sliding faster than the others were.

“YEAH! Spread eagle!” Chinook yelled. She was going really fast now. Sliding along the snow, and heading for a huge hill.

“Uhh, this is going to be painful.” Chinook closed her eyes and hit the hill. Doing four flips then hitting it. Her head hit it first, and then her body came after her. Leaving her bum in the air.

Everybody laughed and fell on the ground from laughing so hard.

“Chinook, you were soooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny!” Aspen and Tamaska laughed.

Chinook got out of the snow, now with white fur, not black. She shook her fur sending snow everywhere.

“Maybe you should go face first in the snow.” Chinook growled.

“So Chinook, you said that we would go to a place called the Stair Way to Heaven. When will we go there?” Aspen asked.

Everyone nodded.

“Well, we went to a whole bunch of places, got to slide down a hill, got to hang out with our friends, what more do you want?” Chinook asked while smiling.

“So this whole thing was the Stair Way to Heaven?” Tamaska asked.

“Yeah, you said that we would go there. When can we?” Darkmoon asked.

“What is the Stair Way to Heaven? Is it something, like that you go on stairs and you go to heaven?” Larka asked.

“Well, we were just there.” Chinook told her friends.

Then a pink stair way came down from the sky and touched the ground.

“Let’s go.” Chinook told her friends.
