mother wanted him to wake up.

He turned seeing a young and fair gray wolf looking at him rather angry, he didn't care much, "Mom!" he shouted and jumped at her, trying to like her face, she lifted her head to evade him. After several failed atempts he stopped and sat down looking up at her panting.

His mother sighed, "Stay here, I'm going out for a small bit." He instantly whimpered at hearing this, she started to walk away, he quickly followed her, she was the center of his life.

"STAY!" She shouted, the pup stopped wondering what he did to get her angry at him, "Just, stay here.."

He whimpered as he went to the far end of the den and layed down on the ground, whimpering as his mother left. Getting bored quickly he soon fell asleep. He awoke several times wondering if his mother had returned. He turned to a granite rock near him, he whimpered slightly, he already missed his mother.

He whimpered as he headed toward the entrance of the den, often was scolded to go back, but his mother wasn't there to put him back to the den. He wondered about seeing large things standing out of the ground, which were trees but he didn't know it.

He paws hit something which caused him fear and he yelped for his mother, as he ran away a slight bit, he looked down to see what his paw had hit. He tilted his head at it, it was a stick rather large. He carefully went up to it and bit down on it, he could barely bite into it. He wanted to snap it. He growled playfully as he nawed on it, trying vainly to snap it, with his small teeth.

Hearing a noise made him stoppe, he looked around while biting the stick, the thought of something stealing it entered his mind, he quickly, but slowly started to drag it towards the den. After a while he moved it into the den, were he kept his favorite things. Something he found in the den when he was roughly 6 weeks he found his prize toy, or trophy. A granite rock, he played with it a lot.

Although he loved the granite rock, the stick was new, and as he naws some bark fell off it, which amazed his mind. which soon afterword he would eat some of the bark, that fell off.

An hour or so later his mother returned home finally, he instantly stopped nawing on the stick to greet her. He jumped about around her, trying to get her attention. She partly ingoured him to calm him down. After a few moments he calmed down. "Mom, mom, mom!"

"What Hector?" His mother asked softly while looking at him, which made him excited that he had her attention, which she knew he craved 24/7.

"Look, look, look, look!" Hector shouted as he ran up to the stick which he had brought in, "I can bake it!"

-"Break"

-"huh?"

"Break not bake" his mother watched him pause as he learned how to say something properly.

"Watch me break this!" She nodded his head as he began to bite the stick, after a while, he was still unsuccessful, constantly shouting "wait!" After motherly patience Hector broke some of the bark off the stick.

"See, see, I told you mommy!" Hector shouted at his successfly as he ran up to running around her legs, "SEE?!" After a short moment he asked a question, "What is that anyway?"

"A stick."

"Sick"

"Stick!"

"Tic?"

"A stick Hector, a stick!'

Hector paused slowly sounding out stick, "St-ick, stick!" He repeated it several times, annoying his short tempered mother. "Love you mom."

His mother paused and looked outside the den for a short moment, "I love you too..." She stated very plainly, she felt her pup lay down next to her feet. She looked down at the pup, he was smiling at the world.

Hector looked up at her mother who was looking at him, he shouted her name several times wanting to lick her face, she didn't lower head, and looked back outside the den.

He paused looking down, did he upset her? The question remained in his mind through out the day, as the usual for him and his mother he played a lot, every now and then he tried to play with his mother, but she would scold him, and make him go back to his granite rock or stick. It was incredibly odd to him. She always played with him, even when he awoke at night she still would play with him, if he wanted.

For a while he stayed quit and didn't do anything which seemed to make his mother at ease, all he ever wanted to do, is make his mother happy and at ease. He sometimes did this every now and then just basically stayed still often so his mother could what he thought day dream, because she often looked outside and sleep. He guessed it made her happy, if she was happy, he was very happy.

He watched her look outside of the den at the entrance, he was playing with his grantie rock, he moved it too close to his mother which bumbed into her, he instantly started to shout, "I'm so sorry, sorry, sorry sorry!"

He watched his mother look, she miled, "I'd get carried away sometimes if I...had a rock like yours, it would be a lot of fun." The rock was close enough for her to bite it and toss it over to her son. "Enjoy, let mom rest."

Although she said that, he didn't really want to play anymore, because he had disturbed her. He tried playing around for another five minutes or so, but couldn't. He grapped his rock by his mouth and layed down next to his mother's head. She didn't seem to notice him at all.

She sighed and rested her head on top of her son, which she knew pleased him, she soon could tell that he was growing very, very, tired.

Hector paused he let his mouth off of the granite rock so he could sleep easier, and soon enough he had fallen alseep again.

Several hours later he awoke again, it was dark. Which meant it was nightfall as he knew it, he felt cold, he looked around, his mother wasn't in the den, some fear entered him. When he had heard her voice outside, which relaxed him.

He paused thinking of his mother, he remembered how she spoke of his rock, "She doesn't have anything to hav, fun with...'' He looked down at his granite rock, his favorite thing besides his mother. "I'll give this to her, she like, get cared away with it, won't ask till p...pemission no, she offer it to me to play with."

Although for him to part with his granite rock, he loved his mother more. He grabbed it and exited the den in search of his mother. when he left the den he looked around, he couldn't see her anywhere, fear agains started to take hold of his mind. He heard his mother again, he couldn't tell what she was saying but at least it was her!

Her voice was to his right, as he moved closer for the first time he went down hill some grass took some effort to climb over but, he didn't take much note of it though, he just wanted to see his mother. As he got closer he heard some sort soft shouting somewhere.

He smiled as he could see his mother at a small clearing, it was somewhat horse U shapped. He wanted to slightly suprise her. Not taking note of most noise other than his mothers, which he wasn't even listening to at the moment.

As he moved quietly in the bushes around his mother he noted that there was steep, steep incline downhill. At the bottom he could see white moving, like clouds. He also noted that the soft roaring or yelling seem to get louder as he looked at the clouds below.

He turned his head back to the direction of his mother; there was a hole in a bush nearby small enough to fit him. He gripped his granite rock a bit tighter and moved into the hole, he could now see his mother passing back and forth, talking to herself. Only this time he listened.

"Sick of it! I'm so sick of it! Day in and day out...all day. There's never a moment of peace, no friends, just him!" She obviously seemed angry at something but what was it? He wondered this making him stop his advance to his mother.

"Why did it have to be me? WHY?! I never did anything, I was just being my age, having fun, going out at night for a walk...How could that happen to me, why did I get rapped, and now I'm stuck with a clone of that evil being, every single day, he even sounds like him!"

Hector gripped his rock tighter, he didn't know the word rape, but it didn't sound right. His mother was sad, which made him depressed, he was about to move farther when she continued.

"He always wants to be around; I wish I could just kill him! But no the alpha says this, the alpha says that, and I'm stuck with that abomination! I hate him so much, I hate him! I never wanted him, I wasn't ready!" She paused as she stopped somewhat pointing in Hector's direction, if she was watching closely she would have seen him. Her expression changed into a cold, unloving face. He wasn't used to seeing that, he never saw his mother like this.

"I hate him so much, and every time I'm required to say 'I love you', 'I love you too'?" She gave a short laugh with little humor, "I just want to say to that annoying Hector, 'I hate you I don't love you at all!' But no, I have to lie and say I love you. Nothing, nothing would please me more than NEVER seeing you again."

Hector felt the grip on his granite rock loosen, as he eyes glazed, his mother hated him? She didn't want to see him again, that would make her happy?

"But that can't happen I'm stuck with you I have to raise you, I hate you so much Hector, I wish you'd die! I don't love you, I never have, I never will! I hope you get killed, I hope you suffer the worst fate in the entire world! I hate you so much! I don't love you! I don't! I hate you! I don't love you at all!" From where she was sitting to Hector it looked like she was talking to him.

She heard a sound of a rock falling to the ground, she paused, "Mom?" She looked down seeing Hector her expression from before the same. He
