finally looking up and immediately telling something was different. "Dear whats wrong?" She asked innocently, but Angel wasn't in the mood. "Tell me the truth" "The truth about what dear?" "Tell me who I'am" "Well thats easy your Angel my grand daughter" "Don't give me that, I want the truth, I know, I know my Mother wasn't a wolf and I know Dad didn't die in some attack, I just don't know what it all means" Angel burst out sharply. "Angel I" "Don't Anita" Jacob said coming from the shadows, gently rubbing against his wife dearly. "Its time she knew the truth." Angel's breath left for a moment, so this was it, all lies are in the open, all was left was the time.
" I found your Father when he was very young, he had no home, no family, he was just there in the woods alone. Me and Anita, we could never have pups of our own, so in a sense finding Kaleb was an answer to our prayers." Jacob began. Anita sat beside him and Angel listened intently, for too long she had been afraid to know, now all she wanted was the truth. "We took Kaleb and raised him, the pack excepeted him and he began to grow into a fine young wolf. When the wars broke out, he insited on joining in the fight, Anita begged him to stay home but Kaleb was determined to anything he set his mind too. He left when he was elven months old, thats when he met your mother." Jacob paused, as if all of it were too painful. "She was a beautiful dog, she looked exactly like you" He smiled "She was not a wolf like we told you, she lived in the town with the humans, a husky. When the wars ended, your father continued to see her, well she decided to leave the town and come live with Kaleb, she found out she was preagnant with you and your Father and her wanted to be together. Well I admit we discouraged agianst her coming here, at that time we were under the rule of an Alpha who took the old law serious. Old law forbids wofves from associating with domesticated dogs, they are of a lower breed and standard. But your Mother, she was quiet the opposite, hard headed" Jacob smirked "Oppinionated, if you told her she couldn't do something she was sure to find a way to prove you wrong, and she always did" He sighed "When they came here, of course they were looked down upon, some of the renagades took matters into thier own hands, one night there was an attack on the whole pack," Jacob hesitated with tear filled eyes once more Anita nuzzled him comfortingly. "Your Mother was killed, you were here with us at the time, your Mother and Father had taken a walk, things had gone out of hand before we ever heard his growls. After that, your Father was torn between two choices ethier he stay and you go, or he leave and never return, it was considered punishment" "Punishment for what" Angel asked utterly disscusted with the "old ways" "It was the law of the time, Angel you must understand, the Alpha had a job to do, your Father new the risks of that. He said you were as beatiful as an Angel, so thats what we called you. You look just like your mother" He smiled and it was silent for a moment. "So my Father, hes alive?" Angel asked, agian a sigh parted Jacob's lips, but this time Anita spoke. "Yes" So was true, Angel had to take a moment and catch her breath, it was true finally the void felt didn't seem like such a fantasy that could not be filled. "Where is he?" Angel asked "He moved east, that is all we know, to a place where few wolfves have ever gone, and the journey was dangerous, he may not have even made it" Anita said, but Angel was already on her feet "Hes my Father, hes alive" She said boldly "Angel please this will go no where, please stay" Anita pleaded "Anita" Jacob said staniding. "Let her go" Anita was quiet and Angel smiled at Jacob "I love you both" She let that be her last words as she turned out of the cave and looked towards the east ward setting sun. So the journey would begin.
