"Follow me" The old wolf said. Angel followed, her heart racing, her paws felt heavy, what was going to happen? How did the wolf know her? She was sure she had never seen her, for she would have remebered such a magnificent wolf as the one who stood before her now.
"Do I know you?" Angel asked hesitant, with Storm close to her side. "No, But I know you" The wolf said plainly. "How? I'm sure we have never met" Angel persisted as they walked down the dark corridor of the cave. "I knew your Father" "What?" Strom said speaking up, for Angel was to amazed, or maybe afraid to go on. "I knew him when he was young, but when the wars broke out" The wolf's voice trailed off sadly. The wars were a hard time for those living in its age. Rouge packs attacked by the thousands and many lives were lost, it took years for peace to be won. "The whole pack was seperated, I never saw Kaleb again after he joined up to fight against the rebels" "My Father fought in the wars?" Angel asked "Yes My dear, he was very young at the time but he went out bravely, stories were told by many of the wolfves of his bravery, some said they wouldn't have made it out alive if not for your father" She explained finally coming to an open room and sitting down. "Didn't you know?" She asked suprised, looking at Angel curiosly with her bright eyes as if she were seeing right through her. "No" Angel said with a thoughtful look in her eye, Why hadn't Grandpa said anything?, She thought.
"I see" The wolf said kindly. "I knew you would be coming here" "But how, you didn't even know I existed, my Father hadn't met my Mother when you knew him. He didn't meet my Mother till after the wars. Mom was a wolf from The mountian packs" Angel said, thinking this was crazey. "You have little faith" She smiled "I have faith" Angel objected "Yes, But only in the things you can explain" "Well how do you explain knowing so much?" Angel shrugged bluntly, Storm shoved her as a warning to remember her manners. "All things can be known once one is ready to see" "But what does that mean?" Angel asked pleadingly, this wolf was going in circles, talking in riddles that to Angel made no sense and only knotted the confusion in her head tighter. "The answer is simple, why did you come here?" Angel sighed within herslef, she hadn't answered the question at all only presented another question that even Angel herself wasn't sure she knew. "To find the answers" Angel gave up with a sigh. "And so you shall" The wolf smiled.

Everthing was so unclear, like looking through eyes that had never been opened. The fear began to return, hes gone, he left. The thunder crashed the rain poured, I screamed but he only walked away, a voice was calling to me. A voice that hadn't been there before. "Its ok, stay focused, we're here, dont be afraid, find the answers" The fear inside me calmed, I tried to clear my surrondings and finally the moment came to life. I saw myself as young pup, barely old enough to walk. Then the next figure shocked me. There he was, my Father. He was gently carresing me as I nuzzled closer to his fur "I'll love you always" I finally felt safe but then like a flash he was gone and the firure in the door returned, fear over swept me. But I had to know who the wolf in the door way was. If the picture would only clear! I gasped, it was Jacob "It's time" He said, "Time? Time for what?" I yelled but no one heard me. I looked back at myself and Anita was now calming down my cries, A flash suddenly came and I found myself in another place, angry wolfves surronded a small wol- no a dog in the corner. She looked like me suddenly I saw my own eyes stare back at me, I heard a blood curling, full of rage cry come from the other end of the wood, it was Dad. And then it hit me the face I was staring at wasn't me at all, it was my Mom. "Mom" I cried, I was scared and tears clouded my eyes. "Mom whats happening?" One final warning and the wolfves sprang upon her, she had no chance, Dad yelled in anger attacking his agressors, "MOM!"

Angel awoke, gasping for air, her heart racing. "It's ok, It's ok" Strom said coming to her side quickly and nuzzling her tightly. She caught her breath, calming with Storm's gentle touch. "What happened?" Storm asked looking worriedly in Angel's wild blue eyes. "I saw" Angel said looking at the Old wolf, who smiled understandingly. Finally her words were understood. "My Dad, he didn't die, and my Mom she was a dog, it was a lie, everything was a lie" Angel said in distress. "What, I don't get it" Storm said, suprised himself. "I thought your Mom and Dad both died in a rebel attack" "The couldn't have" Angel said her mind racing with the memories of the past. "Dad was with me, I was too old, They told me my parents died together, in my memory Mom was already gone, it didn't have anything to do with rebels, they attacked her" Angel said, but to storm she sounded criptic "Maybe you saw it wrong" Storm said trying to be helpful. "The Past never lies, the mind remembers for a reason" The wolf finally spoke. "So what am I supposed to do?" Angel asked "How do I make sense of all of this?" The wolf smiled then wisely said "Your mind is the best key to the past, but your heart is the map to the future, when willing to listen, you'll know" She said as she got to her feet and began to walk away. Angel thought long and hard, then smiled "Thankyou" The wolf gave one last wise glance and then continued to walk down the corridor. "Some how I think I missed it" Storm said. "I have to listen to my heart if I want to move on" Angel said begining to run toward the cave door. "O yea and whats it saying?" Storm asked catching up to her. "Take me Back in Time" She said. "What?" Storm tilted his head. "I'll explain on the way home"
Angel told Storm everything. She repeated her memories, went through everything slowly in her mind, letting it take on it's full meaning. Her Mother hadn't been a wolf at all. She was a beautiful husky, blonde and white, with eyes as bright as crystal clear water, small and delicate with no trace of the wildness that runs through most wolfves eyes. Angel saw the same look in her father when he looked at her. Every sense that seperated wolf and dog fell away and united them. He loved her, with a deep passion that was so evident in his eyes when he looked at her, that when Angel closed her eyes and went to her memories, she could feel how his heart beat rapidly yet she could time it to her own heart every time Storm was near her. That was what truly scared her, the truth was out, she was not a wolf, which made her an outcast, Storm would, might, turn on her.
"Everything was a lie" Angel said finally stopping and trying to catch her breath. Tears wet her soft fur, clouding her eyes until she fell down helpless, unable to go futher for the path ahead was unclear. "Nothing was true, I don't even know who I'am any more" She sobbed quietly trying to hide the fear she felt from Storm, but that was a task not easily done. "Angel Angel, Shshs" He said sitting by her and putting his head over her shoulder to calm her. "No it's not I don't know who I am" "You don't know, thats funny, I know exactly" Storm smiled, looking at Angel. "You do?" She asked "Yea, your Angel, the most beautiful girl in the world, and it doesn't matter wether your a dog or a wolf, nothing is ever going to change the fact that I love you" Angel's heart froze. He had said it, everything, the four letter word that had been riding on the tip of her tounge but some how had never found the way to the surface. The reason her heart beat rapidly, the reason Storm looked at her so gently, the reason she knew he was the one. She smiled shyly but Storm seemed to understand. He grinned gently, then wiped a fallen tear away. "What do you say we go find that past?" He said. Angel smiled, he'd never leave, he was the one thing that would remain true and constant now that secrets were in the open. "Sounds good"
Angel walked alone into the den she had called home for so many years. What for so long felt like home, now made her feel strange and out of place. The hard ground beneath her paws was unwelcoming and cold. The surrondings that she had known since being a pup, and the shadowy paths that once held so many memories now left a void of mistrust. "Angel Darling" Anita said coming into the room, and smiling kindly. Angel made no move, her expression direct and determined. "Me and your GrandFather were just about to head down the to grounds, Maria invited us over to spend the festival with her and her family." Anita went on, before finally looking up and
