Balto put his nose in the air and sniffe it. The scent of pine was heavy in the forest. "I can't believe Aniu...ooh!" He walked into the nearest claering and saw a stallion on the other side. "Snap." The stallion caught sight of him and galloped in a mad rage, kicking out with powerful ind legs that could snap a dog in two.

"Halt!" Balto turned and ran. "Get back here!" Balto dodged through the trees and was soon caught between a cliff and the angry stallion. As the stallion reared in front of him, a dark shape leaped out of the brush onto the great stallions back.

"Try to buck me off, I dare you." He dug his talons into the stally's back as the stallion bucked and twirled. Soon, the stally stood still. "Miles. You can't attack every new animal in the forest." The wolf jumped off of the stallion's back and the stallion backed up.

"Jimmy! You always interfere. Somday it'll come back and bite you in the..."

"GOODBYE MILES!" The stallion spun on his heels and galloped away, as Balto watched in awe. The other wolf turned to him. "Are you okay, city dog?"

"I'm not a city dog, and yes I'm fine. Who are you?" Balto took a step closer, growling. The other wolf flashed razor sharp teeth at him.

"I'm Jimmy, wolf-dog of the East Bend of the Forest, out of Aniu and Sound. Who are you?" Jimmy cocked an eyebrow.

"I am Balto. I"m also a wolf-dog, but I come from Alaska. My mother...is also Aniu. You're my half-brother?" Jimmy nodded.

"Swallow said you would come. He's a black magic ram. In here, we have angels, demons, black magic, all part of the basic package." He motioned with his paw. "Come. I need to introduce you to BlackHeart. He's the leader of the WolfClan." Balto looked strangly and followed him. How could he be related to this?
