The art gallery

The art gallery.

Chapter one

Naga and any other characters are mine to use only. You must have a very good reason to ask me to use them.

Many people had heard of a new art gallery opening in Alaska. It was very special because the owner was Naga.

Naga was a human fanaticised with wolves. He was because he purely believed in his past life he was a wolf. When art critics, psychologists, religious teachers and experts of wolves heard about this art gallery, all of them wanted to see it.

The opening day was when they all came, the journalists were there and allowed after the tour, to come into an interview with Naga and his beliefs.

They were allowed in by Naga’s assistant, Jeremy, he led them through to the reception area where Naga was standing.

“Please come, I have much to show you,” he said. Naga is whatever you imagine him to be accept he had black hair.

He led them into an area full of paintings, of course Naga had all painted them. He took them to see one particular picture. It was of a wolf (Duh!) it was coloured in by red, purple and green.

“This picture is one of my favourites. The wolf that I can see, I’m not sure who he is, or if he was those colours or just how I felt about him, you can only see my mussel, as this is through my eyes,” he explained and sighed. Naga was not who he wanted to be.

Taking them though to more beautiful sceneries than Wolves but a few was, some were of mountains, others of fields and flowers, some where of the sea many places.

“I have checked these places I have remembered and they’re real places in Alaska,” many whispered, and then he took to one of the wolf pictures.

It was of a crème Wolf with a pink, purple saddle like fur colour on her back. She was against a field of flowers; her smile hypnotized many of the V.I.P’s.

“This I believe is a she-wolf I once knew, here she’s just a puppy and that’s all I can remember her as, I don’t know because she died or I died,” Naga said.

He led them all through the art gallery, when it was finally the time to interview Naga; many people were just wondering if Naga dreamed all this pictures up.

“Naga, why do you believe that you were once a Wolf?” asked one of the art critics as she held her note pad waiting to write many others did the same thing.

“I just have this feeling, the sensation that I was. Like when you know something’s wrong, you just know. I can’t explain it,” Naga said, he was so confused.

After many question, Naga was answering a Journalist.

“What is your next plan of action?” he asked.

“I hope to leave this art gallery in the hands of my assistant while I’ll go out and find these places. See if those are dreams are real,” he replied. “Interview over,” he said and stood up left and went to his study.

Chapter two

Naga, in the morning packed his stuff, a sleeping back and a small book with a copy of some of his best and most remembered pieces. He took his coat and anything else he needed. He handed over the keys to his assistant and left of where he was leaving to.

Naga searched and found many places he recognised. He made quick sketches for less important Memories and actually painted them if they were important. He found that his stuff weighed him down, so Naga had to leave something behind every so often. Less important things like a shaver or an Ipod. But eventually he had to get rid of his book; he decided to hide it from wild animals and from humans.

He found a cave with a bear inside it; he of course didn’t go inside. The bear was hibernating, but Naga remained as silent as possible. He grabbed a rock and hid the book underneath it, he tiptoed out and ran. He finally got the chance to meet wolves but the wolves were scared of him. He wouldn’t blame them, the hunters were around.

Naga found peace in his mind but his body… He really wanted to become a wolf. In the middle of the night Naga was falling asleep under the stars. He couldn’t sleep, maybe he thought singing a song might help. He remembered a song, but he didn’t know how he got it or how he knew it but he sung it anyway.

“Looking on top of mountain, watching the morning sun,

The moon suddenly appears, a blank memory.

Something you’ve lost, you’re not yourself.

What’s the point on losing if there’s nothing to win?

What’s the point of loving if there’s nothing to love?

What’s the point on living if you’re not who you are,

Hope that one day you wake up and you’re who you are.

Trudging through the woods, by night,

Look up to the sky, to see a falling star.

Wish upon that star and hope it’ll be granted.

What’s the point on losing if there’s nothing to win?

What’s the point of loving if there’s nothing to love?

What’s the point on living if you’re not who you are,

Hope that one day you wake up and you’re who you are.

Running away by the morning light, looking inside your heart,

You feel a sense of dignity, look at yourself.

Now you’re who you are, be free my friend.

What’s the point on losing if there’s nothing to win?

What’s the point of loving if there’s nothing to love?

What’s the point on living if you’re not who you are,

That got your wish, you are who you are.”

His eyes grew sleeping and he felt them becoming too heavy to hold up. He shut them tight and he was finally asleep.

Chapter three

Naga woke up with a cold wind, he got up yawned and stretched. He suddenly realised that’s not how he stretches, he looked down he saw a paw his own paw! He ran for the nearest river and looked into it he saw himself as a wolf.

He was darkish greyish, with a black back which started at the end of his tail to his head. He had a dark ring around his left eye. While his nose was his greyish colour, he had brown eyes, the same as his human ones. Was all being a human a dream or was this a dream. He smiled he was who he was, the song! It was magical; it changed him into this wolf.

He felt hungry by noon; he saw a rabbit and suddenly knew how to catch it. Don’t let it see you, go where the wind blows against you and stay low to until the right moment. He ate the rabbit, as a human he may have disgusted at such behaviour but now he liked the taste. After Lunch he set off, he carefully listened for hunters and managed to get rid of a few.

He travelled beside the sea which made him less obvious, but there were hardly any rabbits and he couldn’t take a Caribou down all on his own. He travelled more into the forest regions where he was very cautious of traps, he left and back he was onto the plains.

Two months later…

Spring had started and was slowly turning into summer, Naga had survived alone but he found himself at peace. But he longed for company but he was scared of other wolves, would they smell human or would they attack for a laugh, Naga decided not to find a pack or even a mate.

He heard people thought he was dead, apparently they found his stuff, and believed that the thing he loved killed him. But Naga was better than alive he was free.

The passing days he found himself depressed, not sure who he was supposed to be. Then one day a she-wolf saw him, he didn’t see her. Many wolves came and saw him alone lying down.

“Who do you think he is?” asked the she-wolf.

“I don’t know daughter but he must be trouble,” a beige wolf answered back.

“Can he stay a night with us at least, he looks lonely,” she replied.

“Only a night,” he said, and looked down onto his daughter.

“Yes father,” she said and walked up to Naga. “Hey.” Naga jumped and looked round he backed away slowly. “Don’t be frightened I’m not going to hurt you,” she said. So Naga stopped and looked at her.

“Leave me alone,” Naga sad he didn’t want anyone.

“Why don’t you stay a night with us,” she offered.

“Us?” Naga asked.

“Our pack,” she said. They revealed them, and many of them smiled at Naga.

“What’s your name?” Naga asked.

“Miya, My-a” she replied. “What’s yours? We all dying to know.”

He got up. “My name’s Naga,” he said and fell so the pack could just see his back.

“Naga, that’s impossible, Naga the wolf died years ago with his parents,” she replied. Naga winced.

Chapter four

He looked at her slightly, he winced again. The she-wolf he had drawn. The Crème one with purple strips on her back, was this is old pack?

“How did they die?” he asked her.

“A fire, we all were running from it but they weren’t the only three that perished,” she replied. “Why?” He couldn’t remember a fire.

“But my name is Naga,” he said. He had a sudden thought. “Look, I’m going to tell you something. You see I don’t remember my parents, I remember being alone until my step-mother saw be and a piece of card saying Naga, But my step-mother was a
