Satan smelled then and signaled his pack to follow the dogs. In minutes the dogs and the pack reached the canyon. Satan smiled and told IcePaw, "They chose a wise place." In the clearing of the canyon stood Warpath and Topaz. Satan smiled, "So you're back for some more?" Warpath said, "I challenge you to a fight. You killed my master so I'll destroy your legend." Topaz added, "The Irish have pride." IcePaw said coldly, "Your pride will be squished!"

Satan and Warpath walked in a huge circle. Devils danced in Satan's eyes. Topaz whined uneasily. Satan leaped and Warpath dodged him. Then turned and bit his hind leg. Satan turned around and bit into his shoulder. Warpath tackled Satan. Satan was surprised. Warpath could only tackle him because his strength. Satan snarled and threw Warpath against an old pine tree. Warpath yelped then leaped forward and slammed the wolf into the ground. For a couple of nerve racking moments, dog and wolf battled like nothing else. The snow was stained from their blood. Satan pinned Warpath and said, "You will die now dog!" Before he could close his jaws around the dog's neck, Warpath used his back legs to send the wolf back into a snow bank. Warpath raced for and chanted, "I believe it will be you to pay for Jacob's death!" Warpath lunged and the devils in the eyes of Satan vanished. Warpath bit as hard as he could and he felt the body of the man killer legend go still. He turned around and faced the wolf pack. IcePaw bellowed, "You have killed Satan. No dog ever had the heart to take him on." Warpath nodded and Topaz rushed to him. She didn't care if his blood trickled on her. "You're alive Warpath! I'm filled with joy." IcePaw sighed then walked forward to the Irish Wolfhound and asked, "Would you like to be our new Alpha male?" Warpath thought then stepped up to IcePaw. "I would love to as long as Topaz can be my Alpha female? You can be Beta." IcePaw smiled then said to the others, "Warpath and Topaz our new alphas!" The wolves howled and the dogs joined in. Right when the moon was high, Warpath and Topaz were leading the pack to go on a moonlight hunt.
