wolf die in front of him, “That can’t be good.” He looked to see the wolf try to get him but Hector hit his chin up and did a killing blow. “Meet you in the Spirit world, I think. Yes 21!” Hector laughed but it faded when he saw the biggest wolf he ever saw in front of him. “Ah, your huger than the wolves in my dreams.” Hector said aloud, but before Hector could move a paw hit him to the ground.
Balto saw what happened, Hector got to his feet and hit the wolf in the face. “Ha, ha!” the giant wolf swung again but Hector dodged it. “Strike one!” Hector called out. Hector dodged another hit, “Strike two!” He dodged another hit, “Strike three your out!” Hector finished his words then felt himself against a boulder, he turned, and “Right corner so I can’t run got it.”
Loresa shout forward, “Hector!” Loresa had tears in her eyes.
Jenna could see the fear in her eyes, Jenna tried to see battle but from that far see really couldn’t tell, and she tried to talk but couldn’t talk.
Hector felt a paw hit his chest then a bit to the chest as he was thrown to the rock. Hector fell down. Hector hit the wolf’s face then the chin and went for the killing blow but another wolf hit him. The lines breaking darn it! I’m dieing! The giant wolf hit Hectors face to the wall. He felt the wall cut his head as he rammed into it. His vision changed to a blurry world he tried to stand but was hit down again. Hector hacked blood with the hit. Balto refused to watch he jumped off the rock sprinting to Hector.
Jenna saw Balto move away from the rock head to Hector, “Balto. Don’t.” she watched as Balto plowed his head to the giant wolf’s head from doing the killing blow to Hector.
Balto plowed his head into the giant wolf head; it didn’t nearly hurt as bad as he thought it would. The wolf turned to Balto the wolves around made a circle to watch the fight. To them two heroes were fighting. Balto looked at Hector then the giant wolf, Balto sighed.
The giant wolf charged at Balto, Balto smiled as he used his paw to hit snow into his eyes. The giant wolf stopped, Balto used his right paw to hit the wolf’s head down. Then Balto jumped on his head and jumped off it. The giant wolf fell to the ground. The wolves on Balto side cheered as he did that.
Balto turned to the wolf, the wolf turned around as he got up and swung at Balto. Balto grinned as he could easily dodge them. Balto hit the wolf’s chin hard; he felt one of the wolf’s tooth fall, Balto grunted as he went for the neck or the killing blow. Balto slammed the wolf to the ground but didn’t stop there. Balto ran holding the wolf in his jaws; ramming him into the rock he hit Hector into as hard as he could.
Balto backed away panting he heard the wolves howl. Hector coughed, “That’s two for you-.” Hector coughed again. “I guess I shouldn’t fight two at one-” Hector coughed again. “Damn ribs.”
Balto shook his head as he panted, “No it’s three, and that’s a lot.” Balto looked to see if any wolves went for him or Hector. They didn’t the other wolves took care of them.
Atria pushed her line forward as Procyon pushed his line forward. She hit a wolf and sleet another’s throat. She blocked a paw as she stayed in the front. Her advance was slow but steady.
Arcux was staying still Astro’s line refused to move backward. Arcux grunted as he retreated he need to find a way to beat back the force. Come on, come on, come on. Arcux had to think fast to get done or they might be pushed back. I have to defeat Astro.
Astro headed for the front to the left where Astro was fighting at the far, far to the side. Arcux came to him.
“Oh, figured you have to beat me. Well I’m done for now so tee ta.” Astro smiled as he hastily left. After about ten minute Arcux made great distance at pushing them back.
Blood Shadow noticed the line being pushed really far. He smiled Altair you should be here soon right about now, my old friend I can predict you too easily.
Altair ran up to a rock on the field he heard the wolves cry out at his arrival in the back. He looked to see what side was losing. He went for Arcux group he was pushing them back too fat for comfort.
Arcux decided to lead a group to make a semi circle around there force to concur it. He had the plan working well. He noticed cheering he saw a wolf running to cut the circle off at the base of the semi circle. Arcux went on fighting unable to do much about it.
Altair ran to the front of his line to his first kill he used his paw to crush the wolf’s neck with his weight. He looked up to see another wolf charge at him he used his right paw to block the bite by hitting the wolf down then biting his neck. Another wolf lunged at him he used his left paw to hit chin up as he finished that wolf off. Altair jumped to hit a wolf down then finish the wolf off. Altair continued to fight to him the other wolfs movements where slow as he quickly killed them, he worked his way up the circle almost by himself. “32!” Altair stopped to notice the wolves just cheering him on. He stopped at Arcux who just finished two wolves he was on a rock he jumped at Altair.
“Fight me!” Arcux called out he was panting as he said the words.
“You must be the mighty Procyon.” Altair said aloud.
“My names Arcux!” Arcux shouted out, he looked down to cave down a little hill. Altair went down to the cave. Arcux followed.
“Why do you run, Altair.” Arcux demanded.
“Why kill you now your pack win strike will end if I do.” Altair laughed.
“Leave this cave!” Arcux demanded. Altair turned to a crystal in the center of the cave. Altair went up to the crystal and bite in half.
“Arcux was it?” Altair asked. The wolves of Astro rushed though the cave. Arcux slightly panicked but held his ground. Altair sighed, “Go home Arcux, alpha. Eat some meat, and make love to your mate. Tomorrow we will fight. TS.” Altair moved his head twice to show him off.
Arcux started to leave, “You act is war is game, and you can’t get hurt but what about all the mates who wait for the mates they’ll never see again, pups that will never see there.” Altair cut him off.
“You should think the same for our side before you make that comment and if I killed eight more I would have killed ten percent of your army be myself so go.” Altair scoffed as he left.
A wolf spoke, “You let him go?”
Altair sighed, “It’s to soon to be killing those much cared for.”
Altair left out side he saw his side retreating away from Odyssey and Aquarius. He sighed, “This is going to be long.”
Procyon panted as they fled he dropped his best spear stick. He sat down as watched them leave. I have fought too much for one I lost count. This was too close they’ll surely send two more. Procyon had his thoughts cut off.
Balto went next to Procyon Balto was panting heavily, “Do they always last two hours with a few seconds of shear terror every now and then.”
Procyon smiled, “Well can argue there can I. Lets head home.” Balto heard Procyon started to cry.
Balto twitched an ear, “What’s wrong.”
Procyon whipped a tear away, “I just take things too personally.” Procyon howled a return howl. The wolves didn’t rejoice just went for home. There was a dreary silence as they returned.
When Balto returned the wolves met up with their mates and their cubs, Balto learned most had families. Balto turned around as he saw the rest of the wolves return home. Balto heard a sound as he turned he saw a cub in front of female wolf.
“Dad!” the cub hollered out, he waited a few seconds, “Dad! Daddy!” the cub had tears in his eyes, “Dad! Please Dad I promise never to bite your ear again! Please don’t be asleep!”
The female wolf put a paw in front of her son and dragged him back to her, “Daddy sleeping now.” The female chocked on her tears. “Daddy is just…just sleeping now.”
Balto could only watch at what he saw; he knew the pain too well. Balto now realized the after math of war. War…the pain of war. Balto felt tears starting to form in his eyes as he remembered his own pain, ‘Mom! Mom!! Daddy!’ Balto listened as he heard others give out the same cry from both pups and other wolves. Balto felt a dagger stab his heart and stay there. The pain will always be there it just isn’t fair! Balto took a breath but felt a lump in his throat.
“Dad, promised.” Balto heard a cub cry out, “Dad you promised you would come back, where are you?” Balto felt like crying right there, he noticed Procyon who stared at them too, wishing he could do something. Procyon gave a heavy sigh as he left, but Balto waited, he could hear their cries for dads and moms.
Balto noticed a cub start running for the field. Balto sighed as he followed. Balto noticed some females with there pups leave, as were lone ones. Balto reached the cub he was slowly chasing. He was five minutes behind him. The cub was only six weeks old by the looks.
Balto caught up to him; he was licking a face of a
