Cinder finely went to his side, hitting Cronos. Cronos didn’t want to wake up his used he paws to push Cinder away. Cinder didn’t want to move and resisted. Finely Cronos won and Cinder went to his other side.

 

Jenna could feel the tears falling from her face as she wished she could stop but couldn’t.

 

Cinder tried to move back on Cinder. Cronos finely gave in let him have the spot. He moved to sleep in different spot not to far away. He stopped before closing his eyes, he looked up, and he heard her crying. Mom? Cronos couldn’t believe it, mom never cries. I haven’t ever heard her…cry.

 

Cronos stood up, and went to his mother’s side, he was very unsure of what to do. “Mom?” Cronos asked, Jenna turned to burry her self in her son’s her. It almost knocked Cronos down he was still far smaller than an adult dog. He stayed in this position; he didn’t know what to do. He decided to stay how he was still his mother calmed down. Jenna took serial deep breaths.

 

Cronos finely saw his mother was composing herself. Cronos finely spoke, “What’s wrong?” Jenna continued her deep breaths, and backed away but no answer. After about ten minutes Cronos felt heavily uneasy.  

Cinder moved to his other side in his sleep, he mumbled something but Cronos couldn’t figure it out. A voice behind him made him jump.

 

“Excuse me?” Cronos could tell it was a female voice. He quickly turned. There stood female grayish black wolf, with blue eyes; she had three, three month old pups (or nine weeks) with her. One was gray with eyes gray, the other a brownish color with orange eyes, and the last white with clearly seen sliver eyes.

 

Cronos didn’t know what to say but she continued, “Is this Balto and Jenna’s den?” the female nicely asked.

 

Cronos still had no idea of what to say for some reason he couldn’t take his eyes off the white wolf pup, to his relief his mother gotten to her self and answered. “Yes this is their den for this war.”

 

“May I enter?” the female asked. Jenna nodded her head.

 

“May I know your name?” Jenna asked.

 

“Yes you may have heard about me I’m Loresa, Hectors mate as you might have heard.” Loresa said to Jenna.

 

“Do mind if I wake your son?” Loresa asked Jenna.

 

“Sure.” Jenna didn’t really pat attention her mind was elsewhere.

 

“Go play now.” Loresa said to her pups. They jumped first to Cronos but he backed away so they went for the still sleeping Cinder.

 

Cinder awoke to a pain in his tail then his ears. “Ouch!” He looked to see the pup’s bite but rather it was more like they were eating him. Cinder stood up, “Hey, get off that hurts.” Cinder said as calm as his pain.

 

“You heard him.” Loresa said to her children. The whimpered but went Cronos next. Cronos whimpered but let them teeth him.

 

Cinder noticed he let him teeth him, he took as some challenge. “Hey!”

 

Loresa went to Jenna’s side, “You all right?” she asked.

 

Jenna snapped out of it, “Yes, I’m fine.”

 

“It must be a hard day for you I’m sure of it.” Loresa commented.

 

Jenna hung her head, “Yeah, a very hard day.”

 

“You take it better than I do.” Loresa said.

 

“What do mean?” Jenna asked.

 

“Well when Hector said to me he needed to talk, he first said he was scared.” Loresa said to Jenna. Balto said that to me! Loresa continued, “Then after a long and I mean long pause he told me.”

 

What he tell you! I didn’t let Balto tell me. “What did he say?” Jenna franticly asked.

 

Loresa sighed, “I can’t believe it but will find out in twelve minutes, but Hector said he was facing a wolf army of over one thousand, me, well I panicked more than ever thought possible. Well I guess I’ll find out if he told the truth in 21 minutes.”

 

Jenna felt her heart sink, that’s what he tried to say to me! Jenna then felt sick, how could have I have? Jenna couldn’t finish her thought, “Wait 21 minutes!” Jenna shouted.

 

“Yeah but I would like to tell you about myself before we watch a battle.” Loresa tried to calm Jenna down. Must not have told her.

 

“Yeah, sorry.” Jenna apologized.

 

“It’s all fine. I’d like to.” Loresa stopped and looked at her children.

 

“They’re eating me.” Cinder side commented as he talked to Cronos.

 

“I know how you feel.” Cronos agreed. The pups teethed far more than they ever did. They’re going to eat my tail.

 

Cinder close an eye as with white pup bit his left ear very hard. My ear! Gosh know I know how dad and mom felt! They should have told me it hurt! Cinder thought to himself.

 

“Hey you guys! Goes easy on them.” Loresa shouted at them.

 

They protested, “Why! There fun!” Cronos remembered he said that when he was teething with his mother once, and Father wanted me to stop.

 

“I swear they never listen I’m sure others do.” Loresa commented.

 

Jenna smiled, “No they’re very obedient.”

 

Loresa looked at Jenna “Your puppying right?”

 

Jenna laughed, “No dead honest truth, mine didn’t even bother to talk.” Loresa laughed.

 

“Well on to greetings.” Loresa pointed with her nose to the brownish one, “That one there, his name is Raccoon.” Loresa then pointed to the Grey one, that guy is Tiger.” Loresa used her paw to point to the white one, that pretty girl there her name is Spirit.” Loresa glanced at Jenna, Loresa laughed.

 

“Their names are great ones.” Jenna said to Loresa.

 

“You don’t have to lie with me, I know their weird.” Loresa laughed.

 

“There creative.” Jenna said with a smile.

 

“Well I have a random, and unpredictable mate, I guess it can’t be helped.” Loresa smiled.

 

Jenna looked at her, “Did you get to name them?”

 

Loresa nodded her head, “Yes I did I helped get the name for Tiger, and Raccoon well that was a raccoon came in. and it hit Hector for a name, he tried to get the raccoon after that but hit his head one a tree.” Jenna laughed, “That happens to him. About the name Spirit.”

 

“Did you do that one?” Jenna asked.

 

“No…no I didn’t…it was she had had her name was all by Hector I didn’t ask any other names he just came up with it, basically she didn’t have a name till she opened her eyes she looked at him and he stared back them called her that.” Loresa had a small tear in her eye, “He said in the most loving voice I refuse to forget, ‘Hey Spirit, I’m your daddy.’ I didn’t argue that picked the name with out talking to me nor did he think of any tell he saw her open her sliver eyes.” Loresa finished.

 

Jenna was a little touched by the story, “That’s wonderful. Hector is more than he seems.”

 

“Yeah, and how I know he didn’t think about it, day we named her he came out of his coma.” Loresa commented, “But enough about me, I see those two handsome devils over there.”

 

Coma? Man Hector you need to talk more. “Like wise, there birth’s have some history.” Jenna started.

 

“I guess a hero’s children have things about there past as well.” Loresa commented.

 

“Yeah I guess, well a few weeks, three weeks from their birth Balto was shot repeatedly.” Loresa shook a little from hearing that. “Hector did get the gunman or musher rather, Hector helped me after that, till three days for the third weeks end. Balto died.”

 

Loresa was a little surprised “What?” The memory came back to her, ‘Hector you late again do ever learn?’ Hector was in tears ‘Hector?’ ‘It doesn’t matter he’s dead now!’

“But he’s alive.”

 

“Yes I know, thank the havens for it, he was dead for a little while he said five minutes but I think it was ten. Well before I knew he was back, I gave birth to them then Balto came to me, and we named them.” Jenna had a tear fell from her face; she knew she always cried when she told this story.

 

“Ouch, all by yourself?” Loresa asked.

 

“Yeah, nothing to be proud of.” Jenna remarked, as she whipped her tear away.

 

“No way, that’s a feet! When I gave birth I was frantic, Hector was still not over of what he thought Balto’s death when it happened he said two words to me, ‘Calm down.’ Good words of advice but I didn’t really do that.” Loresa laughed, Jenna laughed with her.

 

“That does have a tendency to happen.” Jenna said to Loresa, she nodded her head in agreement.

 

“Well we have some time left, we need to get to hill side den. Tiger! Raccoon, Spirit!” Loresa called out.

 

The Tiger and Raccoon looked up and went to their mother; Spirit was fixed on Cronos tail.
