what’s the spirits ways and the real ways this is difficult. Balto didn’t say much though the rest of the meeting, it was mainly how the spirits would protect them and how they could win.
Procyon howled for quiet, “Now we must know what is against us. We have over one thousand wolves after our four hundred. They have more heroes than we do. From Hector himself I don’t doubt for his information, they seem to have the one, Altair, with Leaf who is almost in same strength with Blood Shadow, Cu’can, and Astro, Corbett, and Tokala, with Aiden. The out match us in hero strength witch means their wolves feel they can’t be beat, one to better numbers, two all that moral from those wolves.” Procyon concluded.
Aquarius nodded, “We have now to prepare for it gather all your wolves the sooner, we beat them the sooner we came go to our homes.” The wolves nodded and quickly left to get there forces ready and march out.
Balto walked over to Cygnus, “Well I would like to know the battle plan.” Cygnus nodded. He turned and nuzzled the other black wolf. It reminded Balto what it was like when Jenna and Balto where together. His heart ached. “But first may I know this beautiful young wolf.”
Cygnus nodded, “This is my mate, Adhara, we have only been together for about a week.” Balto smiled.
“She has pretty eyes.” Balto admitted. Cygnus laughed.
“Oh, no, no, I know to your eyes she just another wolf. I’m know you find your mate has far prettier eyes then Adhara’s eyes.” Cygnus said to Balto with a smile.
Balto made a small laugh, “Your right there.”
Adhara playfully pushed Cygnus, “Aw, come on.”
Cygnus laughed, “Just telling him the truth. Your still the most beautiful.” He said to her he pushed her back. Cygnus cleared his throat. “You want to know the plan, yes?” Balto nodded. “Oh this way you can see just over here.”
Cygnus led Balto up a little hill, and pointed out with his paw. Balto looked and saw a giant plain, there where boulders and trees though out the field. “That’s odd.” Balto murmured.
Cygnus turned to him, “What’s so odd?” he asked.
Balto shook his head, “Sorry it’s nothing.” It looks like the one in my dream so long ago but there are trees, and boulders in it. It’s all in your head.
“Well you want to know your position right?” Cygnus asked trying to get back to the task. Some wolves were already heading out. Balto nodded his head. “Well sorry for you your right there bout on the rock with that dead tree to the east.” He pointed with his paw, your not so in the middle. From there you’ll be able to get to the front fast if needed.”
Balto turned, “When do I head out?” please be at lest an hour. Balto hoped in his mind.
Cygnus patted his pack, “We leave now.” He made a small laugh, “Come on.”
Balto felt bent by those words, I won’t be there to tell her. Well she will notice if she watches. Balto winched at the ‘if’, no! She’ll show even if she wants to leave me, she’ll at lest watch. The thought hit Balto, if I fall.
Balto sighed, “Lets go.” Well I will be clear of doubts my last words to her was ‘Jenna I love you’ so I’ll be fine. Balto lied to himself. Turn! Balto twitched his head ridding the thought.
Cygnus didn’t talk after that, he led Balto to his spot on the plain. Cygnus sighed, “Good luck, may the spirits watch over you.”
“As the same with you Cygnus.” Balto replied to him as he started to leave. “Last night brought a lot of snow does that phase anything?” Balto asked.
Cygnus turned, “No, but when I howl go to the front, we meet the pack leaders before we fight I wish your presents.”
Balto nodded his head yes I will be there.” Balto watched him leave off. He turned to face the east. If they’re close maybe I can smell them. Balto took a few sniffs of the air. He could smell them. A lot of wolves, Jenna I wanted to tell you what I’m up against, but. Balto sighed, “I love you Jen.”
Procyon hurried, to lower dens to where he could get the lot of his wolves ready. He searched for his prime wolves, Arcux, and Atria they’re where his best wolves in fighting and leading. Aria was older than he was; the only real problem is she gets cocky. Arcux problem it’s not a real problem, but he never takes prisoners. He over estimates his opponents. “Arcux!”
Arcux came from and upper tunnel, “My lord Scorn is almost ready with my allies, will be ready at front in ten minutes.”
Procyon nodded to him, for him to move. He traveled for Atria, “Atria.” He needed to know how she was doing, she placed her self to lead and organize thirty wolves. “How are doing you, leave as a group. How long.”
Atria looked behind her, “I have five wolves ready, now the rest need to get ready half are finishing meals, their saying goodbye to their mates still.” Procyon interrupted her.
“How long give me a time.” Procyon asked, but more demanded. Don’t be more than thirty minutes.
Atria grunted for short second, “An hour.”
Procyon twitched, “Make it sooner. You’re doing fine. This war is ours remember?” he gave her a quick nuzzle to her neck.
Atria smiled, “Thanks.” Procyon nodded. He now went to Hamal his pack of Odessa are always the first anywhere.
“Hamal!” Procyon yelled out, “How long.”
“Waiting on you slows pokes!” Hamal shouted back from the plains. He’s twice as fast as reputation. Procyon thought to himself. Procyon then went to where his ten wolves where, that were under his command. “Hey are we waiting for a full moon? Move!” his wolves laughed but did as they where told.
“I’m waiting for one!” a voice called, out. Procyon knew it was Hector, he has fifteen wolves under his command, the irony in this was they were all defense, and Hector was offence so he hade no real wolves on his side, when we fought. “Your alone, get out there!”
Hector shouted back, “Maybe, and whose army?!” he heard Hector laugh.
“My army of three hundred and ninety nine!” Procyon laughed back at Hector.
“Well you need a good four hundred so I guess I’ll go!” Hector called out as he went to the front lines. I really like that guy! Procyon thought to himself. Why does no one like him? Procyon shook the thought out as he also left to the front. He smelt the air there close so close now, Atria…get down fast! You’re my right paw!
Procyon saw Cygnus out already. Odd. As he went to him he could see Balto on a rock in where he wanted him to be. He was lying down staring out to the west. Must be thinking of home.
Cygnus called out to Procyon, “Dream on!” Procyon smiled. Dream on was their motto to get though their lives. He always has hope though he caused all this!
Procyon went up to his side, “Busy week isn’t Cygnus.”
“I have haven’t noticed.” Cygnus said with a smile, they both laughed.
“Dream on, Cygnus dream on.” Procyon laughed.
“I don’t want to see any wolf die because of me.” Cygnus confessed.
“I know you don’t but might as well, defeat our enemies now then later. Also you fight for love, you will be fine. As I fight for love to protect every one every last piece of land we made and shared, every pup, every mate, every wolf.” Procyon said aloud, “There’s little shame in what you have done, we gave her back because we wanted piece you didn’t but did anyway, that’s true love.”
“Thank you, my brother.” Cygnus welcomed his words.
“As I’m I might not be blood linked, but spirit linked.” Procyon said his voice hardened, “There will be here in twenty minutes.”
Cygnus turned, “I’ll tell Balto.”
“You seem to like him.” Procyon smiled.
“I don’t like him, I believe in him, as you do to him.” Cygnus told Procyon.
“Tell him I said hi.” Procyon joked. Cygnus smiled and nodded then went off to tell Balto how close they where.
Back at Balto’s den Jenna had finely woken up, she turn to see Cinder on his back his front foot twitching, he’s sound asleep. She looked over to Cronos; he was on his side with his tail twitching. They never do stop, they always move like he said. Jenna turned to where Balto was. She found that he left. He didn’t tell me figures. Jenna was about to turn to wake Cinder and Cronos. Jenna suddenly felt her heart break, ‘I told you, you don’t need to tell be half-breed.’
Jenna felt a tear fall down her face, the words kept repeating in her head. ‘I told you, you don’t need to tell me half-breed.’ Half-breed. Jenna knew how much it hurt him to be called that, especially in that way. Jenna felt like sobbing, how could have I said that?! How?!! Jenna hated herself. She felt a dark pain
