“I guess I’ll be leaving now seeing you in a random one’s paws.” Procyon said goodbye and started for his home back at the dens.
“Why did guys fight and why do want to eat my dad?” Cronos nervously asked. Hector stared at him with ah. Cinder held his breath as he felt his face go warm. Jenna bit her lip.
“It was joke and that wasn’t fighting it was saying we love each other in style! That means I’m a pro!” Hector smiled and patted Cronos head, “You take things too much, my turn, what is up the tail thing! It’s long. Man what is that, like copy of your dads but longer well he’s is longer but that’s only he’s double your age, but are you aware of that.”
A noise interrupted Hector blabbing question, “Shut up dad! Leave him alone!”
Hector half frowned, “Ok Spirit you can chill, yeah out here in the rain you hate the rain don’t you even whens it ice cold. Mm yeah go chill daddy talking for please be questions for after I bring something to eat home. Hmm yeah.”
“Whens? Who said I hate the rain! Gosh I hate you!” Spirit called out.
“Yeah I love you sweetie!” Hector happily called back. “So why are we still in the rain it’s cold or do prefer it. Thunder in 1 2 3.” As Hector finished thunder sounded their ears. “Yeah I’m cold so now move into the hole.” Hector now seems to demand.
“Ok I bet it’s small.” Cinder complained.
Hectors voice was mock pirate, “Ok I bet it’s small’ dude your negative of your family.”
Cinder growled, “I’m not but I don’t fight when I go home, my parents don’t fight when they meet, they’ve never fought.” Hector lipped his words. Cinder stomped on his paw.
“Like it hurts.” Hector remarked he wait for him to enter the den he felted his paw to shake the pain out.
“Your random I’d say.” Cronos remarked as he entered quickly after Cinder not wanting to leave his side.
“Random one?” Jenna asked, he noticed Procyon called him that, she wonder why he was called that.
“The random one thing its gimmick I have self proclaimed name, I don’t like of odyssey thing so I made my own I’m not even related to the guy. Come to think of it I never asked Balto or you that question, what’s your little name that shows you out.” Hector asked.
Jenna didn’t know what to say they never talked about that; Jenna was a fast thinker, “Hope. Where thinking about changing it though.” She wanted Balto to know before she made one.
Hector moved his left to right twice and looked at Jenna, “Balto Hope, Cinder Hope, Cronos Hope, Jenna Hope, I like it don’t change it. Come on in your more cold then I am and I can’t feel a thing right now expect for pain. So don’t hurt me.” Jenna smiled at the comment. I’d love to hurt you but I think Spirit did it for me.
Jenna entered the Hectors den it was bigger than Jenna ever thought. “Ok I’ll say it it’s bigger than I thought.” Cinder took back the remark he made earlier.
“It was hard it fell on me twice in the making of it bigger.”
Jenna looked at Hector, “It fell on you?”
Hector nodded his head, “Yes it did and it hurt! I swear it broke my back.” As Hector finished his sentence Cronos moved away from the wall. Cinder he moved closer to the wall.
“Tlch!” Cronos made a noise of pain, my tail! No the demon! Cronos moved his tail he looked behind him he could see Spirit biting his tail. He twitched his eye. Why don’t I mind? Cronos let himself fall to his own weight. It scared Spirit for second. But seeing him on the ground climbed up his to his head.
Spirit made it to the top of his head, “You’re cold, you ok?”
Cronos groaned Spirit slipped off Cronos’s head to the ground. She quickly got up and moved to Cronos eye level. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” Cronos responded; Spirit whimpered at the response. She could see he wasn’t happy. She sighed and laid down next to his right paw curling up. Cronos didn’t seem to mind.
Loresa came over to Jenna, “You look like he-ck.” Loresa didn’t want swearing around her children.
“That’s understandable didn’t know how fast you can get beat up.” Jenna said to Loresa with a smile. Hector turned his head down at the comment evading eye contact.
Loresa noticed Hectors reaction, “Hec you ok?”
“Fine just fine just tired that all goodbye” Like a pup Hector fell down and closed his eyes.
“That’s odd…” Jenna remarked at Hectors reaction. Jenna saw Loresa sadden face about what happened. It faded as she looked at Jenna.
“Who gave you attacking?” Loresa asked.
Jenna looked away she didn’t like the question, “It was apparently a wolf, I don’t know his name, but Balto killed him…”
“Oh, well you should get some rest it’s been a day for I’m sure.” Loresa said as she went over to the sleeping Tiger and Raccoon.
Jenna took rest next to Balto somewhat on him to warm him best she could. Oh Balto, how could this happen to you?!
Cinder took sleep curled up next to the wall. He noticed Cronos and everyone before he let his eyes rest.
Balto couldn’t see anything it flashed white. “That was our deal!” Balto struggled to open his eyes. He heard a female replied, “You…you!” the voice was heavily angered. Balto tried harder to open his eyes, “Hey Cronos that hurts.” The voice was calm and yet so familiar. Balto stirred in his sleep. It hurt to move so he twitched in the pain causing more pain.
Balto could hear two talking one was familiar the other wasn’t. “What happened?” the voice was a female.
“It was just something she said.” The voice Balto wondered in his mind Hector? But I thought…Balto couldn’t get himself to finish the thought though the pain he was in.
“What did she say, what did you think?” The female voice asked again more urgent.
“I remembered something as she said that about getting hurt fast, it was gosh! I can’t.” Hector replied slightly angered.
“You can tell me, we both promised, I promised you as you did me about this, Hec dear.” The females voice was reassuring.
Hector paused before he spoke, “You know even before we met I had scars all over me there were new, I remember how when she said those words in the way she did, it just hit me in flash I can’t say it, it brings what happened just before it went all wrong for me.”
“Hector come on I’m here for you, I promised I would, it’s fine tell me after what you told me before I don’t think it can get worse.” The female replied almost instant to Hectors remark.
Hector took several breaths it seemed he didn’t want to say what he was going to say. “All the same, I remember the water white water, my vision blacked or white water in my eyes being like a rock going down a hill, tumbling hitting hard things, my head hitting something twisting around, and how I can well I don’t know if it’s my real name but, I heard this most urgent voice yelling, screaming the word ‘Hector. Hector. Hector…’ and as you know that’s what I put my name by I wish I could remember her voice, my mothers I just remembered what she said before I ran away, and something happened then the white water and not being able to breath…trapped hearing the though that deafening roar hearing ‘Hector. Hector being screamed over and over getting louder and more urgent, I…I don’t know who it was, maybe my brother or sister if I have any. You know my father doesn’t care about me at seeing how he lived, my step dad he never liked me…” Hector started to cry, “and mom she…” His tears and deep breaths cut off Hector.
“Hector it’s ok now…your fine now there no longer here, I now that hurts but Hector your ok now.” The female spoke sadly.
“But it hurts the most above all things.” Hector sobbed out.
“I know…I know.” The female replied, it almost sounded like she was close to tears. Balto felt incredibly tired again, and fell back asleep.
Cronos awoke jolting to an upright position. OOUUCHH… Cronos glanced over to where the pain came from his tail. Spirit was biting it. Cronos became half asleep, after the pain faded. “Hey demon.” Cronos went back to his asleep position to sleep again. Cronos felt a stubborn groan. He felt a four-legged weight on his back working his way up. He took him a moment to realize what was happening. He opened his eyes and looked to his right paw, waiting for the pain to strike. As if on queue the pain hit his right ear, a lot more then his tail, it was the most painful thing he felt. That’s worse than a fracture! I swear! Cronos groaned as he sat up, but he forgot about where the little demon was, on his head. Cronos gritted his teeth together. Ouch, ouch, ouch! My ear
