once more, “Hey I bet this Hector guy is whacked in the head.” Cronos complained.

“No puppying about either.” Cinder added.

“I can hear you two.” Hector reminded them.

“I’m teething!” Cinder defended himself. Cronos just went quiet, feeling like he did something wrong. They entered the caves of the two hills. Cinder and Cronos were eager to look around but didn’t want to leave their parents. They could see many, many wolves bondless in count. Jenna looked at them all as they looked at them.

“Are those some sort of dog?” Jenna heard a wolf say too loud. Jenna wanted to hit the wolf for that. Balto looked at every wolf and how massive the cave system was. Cinder was now really wanting to explore around but something told him not to. Cronos didn’t move an inch away from his mother’s side he was frightened by all the wolves that were looking at him.

“Well what are looking at?” Hector finely said to the wolves, “Go back to your daily lives not like were in the stare lane now.”

Balto let a small laugh come out, “So where is my family going to be staying?” Balto asked.

“We go up.” Hector pointed up with his paw. Cinder watched his paw. Hector lowered his paw but caught Cinder looking at it. He raised it again then lowered it he found Cinder didn’t keep his eyes off it. That’s weird…Hector moved his paw up and down at a fast pace to lose Cinder’s eyes, but Cinder’s eyes refused to lose them. “Eh, follow me.” Hmm pups do that? I thought they bite the happy heck out you. Oh well, we!

Hector lead them though the Cave tunnels, Cronos still refused to leave his mother’s side. Cinder was looking around and looking at Hector. Hector twitched, it freak him out. Jenna still refused to leave the ice-melting glare. Finely Cronos nudged his mother.

“Mom are you mad at me?” Cronos asked with great concern in his voice. Jenna was surprised that her son thought she was mad at him.

Jenna shook her head, “No, no, I’m just under stress, a lot of stress it angers me, that’s all, don’t worry.” Jenna assured her son, but he seemed unconvinced.

Balto had barely said anything doing the three-day trip there, Jenna was getting angry with him. Why won’t he talk I’m so scared all he’s doing is staring off into space! They followed Hector to near highest of the cave hill. “You take this den.” Hector said to them, “But you need to talk to Odyssey first.”

“Are we fighting today too?” Jenna coldly asked Hector.

Hector turned to her, but Balto answered for Hector, “No, we are not.” Balto spoke just as cold. Cinder looked between his mother and father, he shrugged as he gave up on them. Jenna made a slight growl; he finely says something and it to this war?! Damn bastard!

Hector lead them to where a few wolves were one was grayish looked old. With another old looking wolf, with a young wolf, with grayish black fur and brown eyes. “Procyon as you asked I brought them, lazy freak.”

Procyon rolled his eyes, “So you’re this great Hero I hear in rumors and by Hector.” Procyon walked up to Balto a little small, why don’t I like him by glance, is it because his a half-breed? Procyon stopped when he looked at Cinder who was looking at him.

“You’re big.” Cinder remarked to Procyon.

“You’ll get big too someday little pup.” Procyon said to Cinder, cute little guy. He glanced over at Jenna, “My I know your name? My lady.”

“Jenna and you are some war leader?” Jenna coldly asked Procyon.

Balto quickly spoke, “Sorry about that, I’m Balto as you guessed, this my mate Jenna as you know.” Balto pointed to Cinder, “My son Cinder.” Balto pointed to Cronos, he backed behind his mother, “And my other son, Cronos.”

“The pleasure is all mine, I must say, I did get jealous of you, but I no changing that, this is my father Aquarius, and this is Odyssey, if can’t remember the name don’t blame your self I forget all the time.” Procyon said to Balto.

“There old.” Cinder remarked. Balto turned to Cinder, “Cinder!”

“It’s fine, very fine, thirteen years has the right to be old.” One of the older wolves came up, “Aquarius is me.”

“Odyssey is I.” The other came up to Balto. “We have been wanting to see you for a while, but Hector told us you died.”

Balto made a sheepish smile “I kinda did. For a few minutes.”

“I see. Well it has been a day for you take the day for rest.” Odyssey said to Balto.

Procyon spoke, “I did wish to speak with him before he rests for the day.”

“You can, just let me get settled.” Balto said to Procyon.

“Very well get settled, I’ll wait up here.” Procyon said to Balto. Balto left with his family.

Procyon turned to his father, “Father send them back, they don’t belong in this war, he has a family that’s small.”

Aquarius spoke, “Wasn’t it you who wanted him?”

“Yes, it was but now, it is a mistake, he doesn’t belong here.” Procyon said to his father.

“We always fight why does one bother you such?” Aquarius asked Procyon.

“I don’t want to drag them into this.” Procyon protested.

“You know it’s far too late for that.” Aquarius reminded his son.

Hector lead them to where there den was, or rather assigned. Cinder was the first enter the small cave it was only about ten feet back and wide, but Cinder couldn’t stop exploring it. Cronos still refused to leave his mother’s side. Balto said goodbye to hector.

“Well it isn’t to bad.” Balto tried to cheer up the mood.

“I can’t find a smell I have smelt before new ones everywhere.” Cinder remarked as he sniffed around rather it was everywhere was more like it.

“How bout you Cronos?” Balto asked Cronos as he came up to him he noticed that he didn’t leave his mother’s side since they entered the cave like place.

“Its…its…good.” Cronos nervously answered.

“How bout you go to Cinder?” Balto suggested trying to get him away from his mother’s side.

“Allrright.” Cronos answered, as he nervously ran over to Cinder staying rather close to the ground.

Balto waited for Cronos to start talking to Cinder before he would talk to Jenna. “Hey Jen, you seem like you want to talk to me.”

Now he notices. “Now you notice?” Jenna coldly asked. Balto moved one ear back, but waited for Jenna to continue, “Well you look fine.”

“I’m rather worried about you.” Balto admitted.

“You’re fine as far as can see, why worry about us?” Jenna’s voice was colder than ice.

Balto winched at the remark, “Jen.” Before Balto could continue Jenna intervened.

“Jen, Jen, Jen, is that your only answer to everything with me?” Jenna almost shouted. Balto moved his eyes to his pups, to see if they noticed. Balto was relieved when they didn’t.

Balto gave a sorry sigh, “Je-Sorry Jenna, I’m not worried about me, it’s you and the pups.”

Jenna scoffed, “Doesn’t seem like it.” Balto whimpered at the remark.

“I’m sorry, but if we stayed.” Jenna interrupted him again.

“If we stayed, we be all safe, but you want glory in Nome and with your friends pack.” Jenna gave him a killing glare, “Glory hound.”

Balto felt like a bullet hit his heart, he moved his other ear back, may be she was right, she is right. His chest twisted with pain. He didn’t know what to say anymore, to his relief Procyon came to his rescue. “Hey, my I borrow your mate for a minute or two.” Procyon asked.

“You can keep the damn thing.” Jenna answered as she turned away. Balto felt a tear go down his mussel.

Procyon watched Jenna turn her back away from them, fight. He looked over at Balto who looked at her, he noticed a tear on him, He blames himself, it doesn’t look like his fights back just takes the beating and goes to depression, poor guy. “Well it looks like you’re free.”

“Yeah, I guess.” Balto quietly said aloud. Procyon sighed.

“Can you talk outside?” Procyon asked.

Balto whipped the tear away with his paw, and went outside. “What do ask of me?” Balto asked.

“Can I show you around so you don’t need Hector to take you everywhere?” Procyon asked.

“Sure.” Balto accepted though his voice was a little shaky.

Procyon showed him where they main den where most things took place, and where the other functions took place, and where the river was so he could drink. He noticed he didn’t cheer up much. “Hey Balto.”

Balto looked at him, “Yes Procyon?”
