how bout den, they rhyme.”
Jenna smiled, “Alright then, time for den.”
Cronos and Cinder laughed and did as they were told. Cronos lay down next to a wall Cinder just was a little way; he did a few circles before lying down. “Good night, have every dream.”
Cronos opened an eye, “Night.” He closed his eyes again, mom, dad hasn’t called you Jen in a while I’m worried. What’s wrong with dad?
Jenna lie down next to Balto, if something is wrong will work it out.
Procyon finely returned to the main den of Aquarius. He wasn’t thrilled about his victory. He killed Altair’s son. He’ll be able to challenge me if I fall Altair vs. Procyon of Aquarius. They’ll put an offer, if I win they’ll leave, if I fall they will continue the war. My father or anyone won’t let it pass by, I’m the best in fighting, and I don’t believe that, someone even here I believe is better than me.
Procyon felt a feeling of dread pass over him. Procyon made it to his den. Atria jumped up and nuzzled him. “Did you find them?” She asked.
Procyon nodded his head, “We met combat. I know I told you we would run but, it was only 25.”
Atria sighed, “There still here. Aren’t they?”
Procyon walked in his den and laid down, “In the 25 wolves that attacked us, was one named, Leaf.” Procyon sighed with anger in it, “I thought he was Altair, from what I heard that’s what I would expect to look like.” Atria laid down next to him, her face showed how scared she was. Procyon looked at his mates eyes, “It was his son, and they were going to leave that today, now you know how the world works just titles give it, ‘Procyon of Aquarius, Altair killer of wolves. Tokala, and Aquarius.”
Atria had tears across her face as she finished, “Then don’t fight him, please!” she buried her self in his fur, “Don’t fight him! You have been fighting for so long, please don’t!”
Procyon put his head on her head, “You know Tokala twisted mind, he’ll make an offer saying he’ll leave forever if Altair falls, father and Odyssey won’t let that pass by, they believe I can’t be beaten, as do the wolves.”
Atria went to sob, “Say no! Please say no! I don’t want to lose you, I won’t survive!”
Procyon put a paw on her shoulder, “I know…I know.”
Hector returned to his den, it wasn’t much of den it was small, in truth is was once a fox den, but Hector made it bigger. “I’m back.”
Raccoon ran up to his father, “What did you do, what happened?” Tiger chimed in as well.
“Did you kill anything?” Tiger eagerly asked. Loresa turned her head towards Hector.
Hector nodded his head, he smiled as he picked up Raccoon by the scruff, “I got a raccoon.”
Tiger and Spirit laughed at the joke Raccoon wasn’t, “I’m not food.”
Loresa chimed in with the joke, “You know raccoon doesn’t taste that bad.”
Raccoon grumbled at it, “Can you let me go.” Hector smiled.
“Ok.” Hector didn’t lower him at all just dropped him were he was.
“Hey!” Raccoon protested, Hector shrugged.
“You said to let you go, not lower and let you go.” Hector laughed.
“You know what I meant!” Raccoon growled.
Tiger started laughing hysterically, Raccoon growled as he jumped on him. The two started to fight. Loresa intervened, “That’s enough.” Two whimpered.
“Ah, come on, we were playing.” Tiger complained.
Hector looked at him, “Didn’t seem like it. Now sleep you’ll go.”
Raccoon grumbled, “I hate sleeping.”
Hector smiled at him, “Nocturnal you are.”
Spirit then spoke, “What does that mean?”
Loresa answered for her daughter, “A night dweller.”
Spirit half nodded her head, “Oh, so a is daytrunal mean day dweller?”
Loresa laughed, “Sorry dear, that word doesn’t exist, but you can make it your own word. And yes I guess it does.”
Spirit half smiled. Loresa reminded them, “Its time for us sleep.” Spirit complained, but went to were she usually slept as did Tiger and Raccoon did.
Hector stayed up a little latter then his mate. Hmm something doesn’t feel right, its like we’re about to die feeling I can’t shake it.
Hector shook his head, “It’s in your brain, and I’ll just see if Balto has the same feeling in the morning. I’ll worry about it.”
Balto awoke in the morning; Jenna and his sons were still asleep I’ll let them sleep.
Balto walked a little out from his den, he heard Hectors voice it made him freeze up, “Hector? How early do you wake up?” He turned to see Hector coming up to him.
“So how is everything going?” Hector asked.
Balto sighed, “Not good at all, Jenna misses home and I bet Cronos and Cinder feel the same, I want to go home.”
Hector sighed, “I bet you do. But I have a question to ask?”
Balto took a breath, “What is Hector?”
“Did you feel like something bad is going to happen yesterday? Well for me it did and I felt like I won’t be able to see not you but family like death was coming.” Hector dreadfully admitted to Balto.
Balto nodded his head, “Yes I had the same feeling.”
Hector put a paw on Balto’s shoulder, “As I was told, time for another meeting, I swear if they quit the meeting deal, things would get done faster.”
Balto laughed a little, “Yes, I bet it would, but I need to Jenna before I go.”
Hector nodded, “Tell me bout the meeting I never went to one. It’s at the main den so I’ll see you after words.”
Balto walked into his den, he walked over to Jenna. He turned around to see if Hector was still there, Hector looked at Balto and left, “Meeting dude!”
Balto turned back to Jenna he used his paw to wake her. Jenna opened her eyes, “Hey Balto.” Jenna sat up, she yawned. “What’s going on?” she asked.
Balto looked at her eyes, “They want me at another meeting. I thought I should tell you before I left.”
Jenna smiled at him, she was still a little tired, “Thanks, but if you go to any more you’ll become politician.”
Balto managed a laugh, “Yeah a guess so.” Balto nuzzled Jenna’s neck before he left. Jenna was going to wake her son’s but decided just to let them sleep, she sort of liked it when it was all quiet.
She noticed Cronos starting to stir, a little. Well so much for peace and quiet. Cronos finely woke up he looked around, “Where’s dad?”
“He went to a wolf meeting.” Jenna answered to her son.
Balto arrived at the meeting late; he talked to Hector to see how he was recovering from the attack from the huge wolf he killed. Hector said he was fine.
“Sorry I’m late.” Balto announced as he came to the meeting and took his spot.
Hamal growled, “If you don’t make it on time you should leave!” Balto took a glance at him.
“I see you’re happy.” Balto joked with him. Hamal started growling but stopped everyone heard laughter. Procyon went behind Balto and looked around.
“Hector?” Procyon said aloud.
Hector looked around, “A secret meeting eh? Show mercy!” Hector jolted away. Procyon was confused about what he just saw.
“Arg! I hate that freak.” Hamal growled to himself.
Balto slightly growled back, “Good wolf.”
“You better be joking half-breed.” Hamal started to show his teeth.
Procyon intervened Hamal, “Look Hamal calm down, we have things to discus no is not the time to fighting.”
Hamal finished for him, “Among our selves that thing is not one of us.”
Cygnus stood up with his hurt leg, “That’s enough! Balto of Nome is one of us so shut your mouth Hamal! Or I’ll close it!”
Hamal growled at Cygnus everyone started arguing amongst them selves. Balto finely lost his temper, “HEEY! ALL OF YOU SHUT UP! IT’S SEEMS THE ONLY WAY TO GET YOU WOLVES FIGHT! But, WERE NOT BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS FOR TEN MINUTES! BECAUSE WILL JUST END UP BACK HERE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS!” Everyone looked at Balto in shock.
Balto continued; Balto’s voice changed, “I’ve seen a lot wolves die in this war, and what it has done to your wolves, and your pups. What are your intentions?” everyone looked among them selves, looking for the answer but no one did, “I’m tired of this, I want to go home…we have a battle coming up I’m sure of. Atria you seem best at gathering everyone, so will you please gather them, so we can end this war?” Balto’s eyes were slightly watery. Atria nodded her head and left to do what she asked, no one made a
