Shadow fought with his friend.

Altair was fed up with it, “I don’t wanting him being ruled by Tokala, it’s his choice not mine I recommend nothing more.”

Blood Shadow turned to Leaf “Leaf it’s your decision, your going to stay a pup you said you weren’t but you act like one.”

“I’ll go.” Leaf finely said, “I’ll go if you never talk to me again.”

“Done then.” Blood Shadow stormed off. Leaf sighed.

“Sorry dad, but I do want to do something, and I wish I could say no like you.” Leaf said to his father.

Altair turned to him, “Leaf, I just don’t like it that’s all, but it’s part of growing up, we need to get own title then son of Altair, make a name, you’ll get a girl that way.” Leaf laughed.

“Thanks dad. Well I best be off, I’ll be back at night fall.” Leaf said as he walked off.

Procyon and his scouting wolves started to leave, he looked back at Atria, he sighed, I had to go if I didn’t they’d send Balto, I don’t him to be in this anymore. And Cygnus is to hurt to even scout. “Lets move!” He scouted as he ran off to scout for the enemy.

Balto woke up that day feeling off kilter, he didn’t know why. Jenna woke up soon after Balto did. “Balto what wrong?”

Balto turned and smiled, “I just find it weird, it seems when I have nightmares I sleep inn and with good dreams I wake early.”

“That’s odd.” Jenna remarked, Balto nuzzled her.

“It’s almost night fall Procyon.” A wolf said to Procyon.

Procyon smiled, “Then lets go home, I thinking we may have driven them off.” The wolves howled at the remark. They started to head home. After a few minutes it seemed to quiet none of his wolves were talking.

Leaf saw the wolf force, “If we’re going to win this it’s two to one, will have divide them into two, one take the north, I’ll take the south.” He turned to see if the prime wolf of his understood, he nodded.

The wolf went to the other wolves, “follow me 13 wolves stay behind. Take orders from Leaf.” The wolves did as they were told.

When Orion heard Leaf was scouting he rushed his scouts and himself to follow him, but he was behind.

Procyon felt very uneasy, “Stop!” he shouted at his wolves. The wolves stopped as they were told, Procyon listened. Before Procyon could shout wolves hiding in brush attacked from the north.

Procyon was in the middle so he only watched 12 wolves he turned around when he heard one of his wolves yelp. He turned around from the south!

The wolves from the south slammed into the Procyon’s unprepared wolves. Leaf jumped and landed on a wolf’s neck. He looked up to another wolf charging at him. Time for my dads remember move. Leaf slightly jumped and used his left paw to hit the wolf’s head down, Leaf turned his head for the killing blow.

The wolves on Leaf side were fighting a lot better than Procyon’s. Procyon saw a wolf killing his wolves fast far too fast. Procyon ran over to the wolf. Leaf turned to him. Is that Altair?

Procyon went started to circle him, as Leaf did, “You must be Procyon of Aquarius.”

Procyon frowned, so this is Altair I heard so much of. Might as well get this done. Leaf made the first move. Procyon dodged it. He’s a lot faster than I thought. A lot more.

Leaf turned, he’s fast. Procyon now went for Leaf thinking it was Altair. Leaf lowered himself to dodge the paw hit, he felt a burst of pain as Procyon hit his chin with his head. Leaf stumbled. Leaf turned not this time! Leaf stayed low as he attacked again.

Procyon became at a disadvantage when Leaf went for low fighting. I can’t lose I promised Atria Procyon felt a stab on his right shoulder as Leaf bit it, then tossed Procyon. Procyon roll a few times.

Leaf smiled, I may be wining but if I get cocky I’ll die. Procyon stumbled up. Leaf noticed his face was different. Procyon ran up to Leaf trying to hit him with his left paw Leaf dodged the hit. Leaf felt a pain hit near his throat. Procyon used his right paw right after the other. Leaf stumbled having his breath taken out.

Procyon glared at Leaf, “Altair.” Procyon started again, Leaf tried dodging but his breath was making hard he had to get his breath if he was going to win. Procyon missed a bite, then rammed his head into Leaf. Leaf made some cut off sound. My breath is gone, and again without getting it I can’t breath. Leaf rolled in the snow.

Leaf finely got his breath back, he charged at Procyon, he moved as fast as his body would allow. Procyon tried a bite for his throat, Leaf hit his head to the snow, Procyon quickly recovered and tried again. Leaf hit his head several times. Procyon growled faster than what Leaf could tell Procyon jumped and bit his throat.

Procyon bit as hard as he could, he didn’t hear a yelp, or anything just Leaf’s body stop and relax. Procyon let go, panting now Altair my fear is gone. Procyon looked up at the remaining wolves. They were too shocked about Leaf’s death, to move.

Orion had arrived, Procyon looked up, “Enough for one day!” Orion looked down, he closed his eyes at the sight. Orion nodded.

“Back to the pack!” Orion shouted, as he went over to Leafs body. Procyon turned and looked at him.

“Altair…I believe that was him, who was he?” Procyon asked.

A wolf that was north-attacking side went to Orion, “They we’re going to head home when he got back.”

Orion looked up at the wolf, “I don’t think he’s going home any more. Head back.” The wolf nodded. Orion answered Procyon as he passed him, “It was his son.”

Procyon felt terrible, “His son.” Procyon looked at his wolves, “To home.” Procyon and his wolves headed home.

Atria felt if something bad happened, I haven’t thanked Balto for saving me, I should go out and talk, it clear my mind.

Balto had been playing with Cinder most of that day. He went over to Jenna who had taken Cronos around the caves. Cronos when he entered. He went to Cinder.

“We should have switched I don’t like it here.” Cronos said to Cinder.

“You were scared.” Cinder remarked. Cronos looked at his brother, he was right.

“Hey Jenna.” Balto started but didn’t finish his sentence.

Jenna decided to just finish the sentence, “How was your time with Cinder?” Jenna asked.

“It was fun, how about you and Cronos?” Balto asked.

Jenna smiled, “You now him he barely left my side, it’s hard to have him move about on his own.” Jenna sighed.

“What is Jenna?” Balto asked. Jenna took a breath and let it out, more I look at Cronos the more I see how sad he is, and his eyes show it.

“I miss home. We been here over a week, Rosé must be worried.” Balto then took a breath he looked at the ground. Jenna stared at his eyes. It took Balto a moment to see she was staring at his eyes.

Balto looked at Jenna’s eyes, “Sorry Jenna I didn’t think it would take this long.” Balto looked away. Jenna didn’t move her eyes off Balto’s. Balto and Cronos have the same eyes, if you just look at them you can see it, Balto is faded, but pain is swirling in his eyes as Cronos has his own. Jenna wished she could stop the pain they felt.

Cronos voice cut her thoughts off, “Mom what’s my eye color Cinder wont tell me.”

“I’m not telling you because you should know your eye color look at water.” Cinder remarked.

Jenna turned to Cronos, she stared at his eyes for moment, “Their brown, like your fathers.” Cronos paused for moment then went back to Cinder.

Jenna went over next to Balto, “Balto, I’m just curious, what went though your mind when you fought?”

Balto froze at the question, “I don’t really know, I thought about every attack that I did, but I guess I thought of you and that got me by.”

“Really I didn’t think that would help much, but I guess it does.” Jenna smiled, but faded Balto hadn’t smiled yet.

“Balto?” Jenna asked, concerned.

Balto finely turned, “I have feeling Jenna it hasn’t left me all day, it’s like something bad is going to happen, very bad, I can’t place it.” Balto looked at the ground again he closed his eyes.

“Balto maybe your just tired, you did go till you dropped a few days ago. You just need some rest.” Jenna suggested. Balto still had his eyes shut.

“Maybe your right Jenna, I’m just tired so I worry to much, I love you so much…Jenna.” Balto finished as he opened his eyes.

Balto walked next to the cave wall and laid down next to it he closed his eyes waiting for sleep. Jenna shrugged; I guess he was really tired. She went over to Cronos and Cinder, “Hey you two time for bed.”

Cronos looked at his mother, “Alright, so good-night.”

Cinder half laughed, “In stead of bed how bout den, they
